I would give this place a 4/5 only because it did not have AC… overall it is a 5/5. Beautiful room, great location. Seemless check in and check out. Breakfast was buffet style. Great place with my little fam. This place was 300 feet from the beach!

This is the perfect stay to enjoy a walkable vacation on a beautiful beach with options for other activities from yoga, bird watching, and of eating at some of the many restaurants nearby. The breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful! The only thing is you may not want to leave the hotel!

At the restaurant is the beach view which is nice. Staff were adequate but unresponsive to cleanliness complaint. Pool was out of service for 2 days which really should have been stated on booking site as I would have chosen an alternative had I known that. Breakfast was average, margarine instead of butter was provided. Minimal fruit selection. The biggest issue was my room which had worms and cockroach infestation. I told the front desk and they said they would have the cleaning crew check (pretty much telling me I am in Costa Rica so this is life). I let them know I had swept them out as they seem to come out at night time. Every morning I woke up to worms and cockroaches. Even when I blocked the entrance door with a towel at base. I was cautious not to walk around bare feet. The bathroom door was clearly infested as you can see in the photos.

Tudo muito tranquilo, local calmo, agradável e muito gostoso pra relaxar e descansar! Porém o hotel está em reforma e acabou sendo desconfortável, nem Usamos a piscina, pois onde estava sendo realizado uma reforma bem na área de lazer… No geral valeu a pena mas ainda precisa de mais atenção para melhorar o ambiente!

We had a very comfortable stay. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Location is amazing on the beach and 10 min walk to downtown Cahuita. Rooms large and comfortable w/very nice facilities - pool, Restraunt, gym. We even had the opportunity to watch the local FC Cahuita football match on Sunday afternoon at the field immediately adjacent the property. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service, plenty of parking. Room#7 was very spacious , including a huge verandah and hammock! Fabulous 24 hour pool, eggs done to order station. Beautiful grounds, Black beach is literally across the street, amazing atmosphere. We loved the skylight in the bathroom. There was plenty of shelving and storage benches. The lunch we bought lacked flavor ( chicken fajitas & grilled chicken). The towels are quite thin and need to be replaced. The room was hot as there is only 1 ceiling fan, however if you sleep with the shutters open, a cool breeze will come in.

The pool and gardens were really good. The location is right across a small local road from the beautiful beach. The rooms are very dark; cannot read a book without a flashlight. Lots of construction going on and tools and cleaning equipment lying about. We were a bit disappointed considering what we paid.

Location is amazing, right on the beach but surrounded by the jungle. Spacious room, great facilities at the hotel, large swimming pool, excellent cocktails, and lot of variety on the menu. Only disappointment is the lack of selection at breakfast, and that it is the same every single day. Given the amount of exotic fruits that grow in Costa Rica, a more interesting selection of fresh fruits, juices and local dishes for breakfast would have been nice. The hotel is a ten minute walk from central Cahuita, where there are many restaurants, tour agencies, and the national park. Would come back without any doubt and highly recommend this hotel. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

Staff was very nice and everything was clean, it was nice to come back to a made bed everyday after a day out. The owner and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful! I had an amazing time and would return.

El lugar es muy hermoso, frente a la playa, los empleados del hotel son muy amables. Buen restaurante y había música en vivo. El desayuno bien, creo que deben tener un poco más de variedad. Habitación limpia pero le falta mantenimiento. El entorno muy hermoso y tranquilo.

We had a nice stay at Atlantida Lodge! The beach in front of the hotel was great, the pool and rooms were very clean, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing! Granted the hotel has things to improve like the showers, but we had a great conversation with Jean (the owner) and told us about the improvements he wants to do, we will definitely return to the hotel!

El lugar muy bonito. Todo muy limpio. La mini refri es un plus, y el desayuno estaba muy bueno, es buffet y había frutas, varios tipos de pan, jamón, pinto, huevos al gusto y te los preparan en el momento. El precio (2 noches en Septiembre) estaba accesible y lo del desayuno me terminó de convencer. Volvería sin duda. Hay restaurante en las instalaciones, sin embargo no tenían ciertas cosas, por ende fui a un restaurante (se llama la terraza) no muy largo (3 min en carro) y estaba delicioso.

We had lezard inside the room that came out of a hole. There are holes all over the room on the roof and the rock wall that let insects and spiders come in. No TV and the price was high for a low season. We got hotels much better than that for the same price and an amazing

The property was very much like you're in nature. There were many wild life on the grounds. I saw a beautiful toucan up close and personal. The beach was nice and clean. I will definitely be staying there again.

PROS: El hotel está frente al mar, piscina muy bonita y segura, la comida del restaurante muy buena, desayuno muy bueno y el staff es muy servicial. CONS: Habitaciones viejas y descuidadas, hendijas en las puertas por la que puede entrar una rana o culebra, y AC viejos que no enfrían. No hay TV.

Excellent customer service, plenty of parking. Room#7 was very spacious , including a huge verandah and hammock! Fabulous 24 hour pool, eggs done to order station. Beautiful grounds, Black beach is literally across the street, amazing atmosphere. We loved the skylight in the bathroom. There was plenty of shelving and storage benches. The lunch we bought lacked flavor ( chicken fajitas & grilled chicken). The towels are quite thin and need to be replaced. The room was hot as there is only 1 ceiling fan, however if you sleep with the shutters open, a cool breeze will come in.

The pool and gardens were really good. The location is right across a small local road from the beautiful beach. The rooms are very dark; cannot read a book without a flashlight. Lots of construction going on and tools and cleaning equipment lying about. We were a bit disappointed considering what we paid.

Staff was very nice and everything was clean, it was nice to come back to a made bed everyday after a day out. The owner and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful! I had an amazing time and would return.

We had a nice stay at Atlantida Lodge! The beach in front of the hotel was great, the pool and rooms were very clean, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing! Granted the hotel has things to improve like the showers, but we had a great conversation with Jean (the owner) and told us about the improvements he wants to do, we will definitely return to the hotel!

At the restaurant is the beach view which is nice. Staff were adequate but unresponsive to cleanliness complaint. Pool was out of service for 2 days which really should have been stated on booking site as I would have chosen an alternative had I known that. Breakfast was average, margarine instead of butter was provided. Minimal fruit selection. The biggest issue was my room which had worms and cockroach infestation. I told the front desk and they said they would have the cleaning crew check (pretty much telling me I am in Costa Rica so this is life). I let them know I had swept them out as they seem to come out at night time. Every morning I woke up to worms and cockroaches. Even when I blocked the entrance door with a towel at base. I was cautious not to walk around bare feet. The bathroom door was clearly infested as you can see in the photos.

The staff is efficient and friendly, costs are more than reasonable for the area, they have a beautiful beach acrross the street, fabulous pool area, the rooms are big and beds very comfortable...All of the food is top notch, plus they have their own wood fired pizza oven and an ice cream stand....food and beverage service at both pool and beach...with tables and umbrellas....This is what you think of ...when you think of Costa Rica....you are in the Rain Forest....Love this place...I have stayed at 9 hotels in the Puerto Viejo area....I only stay here now....I have stayed here at least 15 times.....Highly recommended...

Perfect place, i would have given a 10 but there was no hot water. I waited the next morning to say it, i should have said it when i arrived because they send someone right away and the problem was fixed in 5 minutes. I recommend this place.

I would give this place a 4/5 only because it did not have AC… overall it is a 5/5. Beautiful room, great location. Seemless check in and check out. Breakfast was buffet style. Great place with my little fam. This place was 300 feet from the beach!

This is the perfect stay to enjoy a walkable vacation on a beautiful beach with options for other activities from yoga, bird watching, and of eating at some of the many restaurants nearby. The breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful! The only thing is you may not want to leave the hotel!

The property was very much like you're in nature. There were many wild life on the grounds. I saw a beautiful toucan up close and personal. The beach was nice and clean. I will definitely be staying there again.

Location is amazing, right on the beach but surrounded by the jungle. Spacious room, great facilities at the hotel, large swimming pool, excellent cocktails, and lot of variety on the menu. Only disappointment is the lack of selection at breakfast, and that it is the same every single day. Given the amount of exotic fruits that grow in Costa Rica, a more interesting selection of fresh fruits, juices and local dishes for breakfast would have been nice. The hotel is a ten minute walk from central Cahuita, where there are many restaurants, tour agencies, and the national park. Would come back without any doubt and highly recommend this hotel. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

El lugar es muy hermoso, frente a la playa, los empleados del hotel son muy amables. Buen restaurante y había música en vivo. El desayuno bien, creo que deben tener un poco más de variedad. Habitación limpia pero le falta mantenimiento. El entorno muy hermoso y tranquilo.

El lugar muy bonito. Todo muy limpio. La mini refri es un plus, y el desayuno estaba muy bueno, es buffet y había frutas, varios tipos de pan, jamón, pinto, huevos al gusto y te los preparan en el momento. El precio (2 noches en Septiembre) estaba accesible y lo del desayuno me terminó de convencer. Volvería sin duda. Hay restaurante en las instalaciones, sin embargo no tenían ciertas cosas, por ende fui a un restaurante (se llama la terraza) no muy largo (3 min en carro) y estaba delicioso.

Everything was stellar, save for a little detail: there was no hot water in the shower. I pointed out on the first morning, but it was the same on the next day. Fortunately, room temperature water is not too cold in Cahuita.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The staff, the breathtaking views, the beautiful location, and the outstanding service made this the highlight of our trip. The entire team was exceptional. The servers were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was incredible. Enjoying lunch and dinner on the beach each day was an unforgettable experience. A special thank you goes to the woman who checked us in at the resort. We affectionately called her "Angel" because of how genuinely kind, caring, and helpful she was throughout our stay. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The staff, the breathtaking views, the beautiful location, and the outstanding service made this the highlight of our trip. The entire team was exceptional. The servers were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was incredible. Enjoying lunch and dinner on the beach each day was an unforgettable experience. A special thank you goes to the woman who checked us in at the resort. We affectionately called her "Angel" because of how genuinely kind, caring, and helpful she was throughout our stay. She made us feel completely at home and took such wonderful care of us. We already miss this place and cannot wait to return. We enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and we got the room with air conditioning so it was very comfortable. The beach is beautiful and you can sit at the restaurant enjoying the beach view! My only complaint is that there was no hot water and beach towels were not provided.
