Staying at Auberge Baker during our trip to Quebec City was the perfect choice. Maybe it was just because we stayed during the "off" season (late December, between Christmas and NYE), but wow, you really get maximum bang for your buck here! Included in the price of the room was breakfast each morning at the restaurant, which is top-tier Quebecois cuisine. They also offer a generous discount on a 5-course dinner at the restaurant for guests of the inn. The food was absolutely spectacular. The property itself is very quaint, set far from the main road, which makes it feel truly relaxing and removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a 20-minute drive from Quebec City and a 10-minute drive from Montmorency Falls (which is on the way to the city). I'm so pleased that my partner and I chose to stay here. We definitely plan on coming back!

Das historische Gasthaus liegt in einer ruhigen Ecke nahe dem St. Lorenz. Phantastisches Restaurant und eine gemütliche Terrasse machen gleich gute Stimmung. Ich hatte das Studio im Obergeschoss des Nebenhauses. Die Stiege ist echt steil, mit dem Koffer ist es ein Balanceakt. Dafür ist das Studio sehr geräumig und ruhig. Die Umgebung bietet Natur in Hülle und Fülle. Ich plane, wiederzukommen.

We stayed one night in the little stand-alone cottage on the property. It was a little place with a lot of character! Rustic, but well-renovated and very clean and carefully arranged. We were traveling on a tight budget, so didn't try dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast spread in the auberge's beautiful dining room was excellent (fruit salad, fresh bread, deliciois crepes and more) and the server was very welcoming and attentive. Would love to stay here again!

We spent a romantic getaway celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary at this place..we were welcomed as we entered , this house has so much history and it is tastefully decorated. Our room was inviting , very clean. The bed was maybee a little too firm for my taste but acceptable. The pillows were fluffy but would have liked an extra one, my fault I didn’t ask for an extra. The restaurant has a very romantic romantic atmosphere. My wife took the 5 course but I took the 9 course table d’hôte meal. The food was excellent and it really reflected the Canadian Quebec French cuisine which is so delicious …however it was too much food…the service “ Maude” our server was exceptional, didn’t miss anything. We will definitely return and we highly recommend this auberge.

Very cool staying in 150 year old home, very clean, breakfast was good, stayed in room with king and queen bed, both needed to be replaced (king was lumpy with depressions). If they could fix the bed issue, would be great place to stay!

Very nice and quiet area, charming interior of the building, clean and comfortable room! The staff was super friendly and accommodating to my needs (checked me in early, prepared breakfast for my early morning departure etc.). Would definitely recommend and come back to Auberge Baker again!

It's old and has not kept up with the times. Bed comfy but bed linen insufficient (no duvet or thick blanket). If you're a tea drinker you're out of luck, as no kettles are available and the water they give you downstairs for your tea tastes like coffee. The bathroom in our room (Baker) was clean, but the toilet bowl needs to be throughly disinfected (urine smell that lingers). Shower is basic with barely enough water pressure.

My husband and I spent two lovely nights in the individual Cabin on the property. A cute, cozy, comfortable little cottage next to the historic main building. Staff here are friendly and attentive while making you feel “at home.” We had the 5-course table d’hôte in the restaurant on our second night. It was one of the better meals I have had in all my years. All focused on local, fresh ingredients. The cold breakfast buffets are also very substantial. I have Celiac and they had gluten-free bread available. Ask in advance as they keep it in the freezer. The restaurant was also very knowledgeable about accommodating gluten-free needs. They were able to offer many options. Will definitely return!

Le personnel est sympathique. Le déjeûner est succulent et complet; le tout avec un service très efficace au-delà de nos espérances. Dans la chambre ''Guillaume'' bien que l'éclairage comprend 2 lampes et 2 fixtures; il est totalement inefficace. Le propriétaire aurait intérêt à retirer ces éléments et à installer une seule fixture au LED muni d'un gradateur. Les jolis plafonds de bois sont en pente, en occupation double, si on doit se lever la nuit,on risque de se frapper lourdement la tête contre une grosse poutre en bois. Dans la salle de bain, les 2 niveaux de plancher et le plafond en pente sont des irritants.

We spent a romantic getaway celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary at this place..we were welcomed as we entered , this house has so much history and it is tastefully decorated. Our room was inviting , very clean. The bed was maybee a little too firm for my taste but acceptable. The pillows were fluffy but would have liked an extra one, my fault I didn’t ask for an extra. The restaurant has a very romantic romantic atmosphere. My wife took the 5 course but I took the 9 course table d’hôte meal. The food was excellent and it really reflected the Canadian Quebec French cuisine which is so delicious …however it was too much food…the service “ Maude” our server was exceptional, didn’t miss anything. We will definitely return and we highly recommend this auberge.

My husband and I spent two lovely nights in the individual Cabin on the property. A cute, cozy, comfortable little cottage next to the historic main building. Staff here are friendly and attentive while making you feel “at home.” We had the 5-course table d’hôte in the restaurant on our second night. It was one of the better meals I have had in all my years. All focused on local, fresh ingredients. The cold breakfast buffets are also very substantial. I have Celiac and they had gluten-free bread available. Ask in advance as they keep it in the freezer. The restaurant was also very knowledgeable about accommodating gluten-free needs. They were able to offer many options. Will definitely return!

Staying at Auberge Baker during our trip to Quebec City was the perfect choice. Maybe it was just because we stayed during the "off" season (late December, between Christmas and NYE), but wow, you really get maximum bang for your buck here! Included in the price of the room was breakfast each morning at the restaurant, which is top-tier Quebecois cuisine. They also offer a generous discount on a 5-course dinner at the restaurant for guests of the inn. The food was absolutely spectacular. The property itself is very quaint, set far from the main road, which makes it feel truly relaxing and removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a 20-minute drive from Quebec City and a 10-minute drive from Montmorency Falls (which is on the way to the city). I'm so pleased that my partner and I chose to stay here. We definitely plan on coming back!

We had a wonderful stay at Auberge Baker. The staff were very kind and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful both days we were there. The room and inn, with it’s historical charm, was a fun place to base out of as we explored the area and made trips into Quebec City. We would definitely come stay again.

Ich hatte das Studio im Obergeschoss des Nebenhauses. Die Stiege ist echt steil, mit dem Koffer ist es ein Balanceakt. Dafür ist das Studio sehr geräumig und ruhig. Die Umgebung bietet Natur in Hülle und Fülle. Ich plane, wiederzukommen.

We had a nice little stay in a chalet at Auberge-Baker. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were amazing! The only concern was that the building seemed to be a little tilted causing a few issues with closing doors and walking in the chalet. The road is full of history. Be sure to leave enough time to walk a good stretch of the road and read and see the historic stories. As I finish this review I stress again THE STAFF WERE AMAZING!

My travel partners from Barbados had never been overseas, never mind enjoying such comfortable and delicious accommodations. Kudos for giving my young travel companion endless hot chocolate and they revelled over the delicious crepes (which they had never experienced) which your lovely chef prepared to no end for them. We hope to visit again one day, thank you!
