For the price, this is actually a really good deal. Its easy to get too and staff are friendly. The hot tub and sauna are awesome. No breakfast or coffee in the rooms but they have instant coffee and hot water at the entry. Shower pressure is weak but overall a good experience for some snowboard/skiers.

Although I arrived late at 10:00 PM, I rang the bell at the front desk and was promptly assisted, allowing for a smooth check-in. I was guided to a room on the second floor, but since there was no elevator and my luggage was heavy, it was quite a struggle. The room and shower were fairly standard for a hotel in this price range, but they were clean. I came from Calgary, and while Morain Lake and Lake Louise are over an hour away, getting there requires driving down a long, steep stretch of highway. Those who aren’t confident in their driving skills should be cautious. On the other hand, the hotel is conveniently close to Yoho National Park on the British Columbia side, so it might be a good option for those wanting to visit both Banff National Park (in Alberta) and Yoho. Also, since you’ll be crossing between Alberta and British Columbia, keep in mind there’s a one-hour time difference, which is important when planning your schedule.

The hotel is conveniently located near the highway and very easy to get in and out of. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Check in and out were very easy and efficient. Front desk staff were helpful and efficient. Parking on site was easy, and plugs were available for my engine block heater.

Make sure the cable TV and Wi-Fi are working when you make your booking. The hot tub was more than 40°C, or scalding!. Eventually, an older guy who may have been the motel manager showed up and turned it down. He didn’t actually believe me. It was hot until I aggressively verbally convinced him to put his hand in the water, now he understood English much better.

The room was large and spacious, with a convenient refrigerator and microwave. The accommodation has a jacuzzi but we were not able to use it; the first day it was closed and the second day it was full of people. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

Staff doesnt know how to do customer care. No greetings. Zero customer service. Rooms are not clean at all. Stinky / they need to check the bed. After we sleep so itchy whole body. Toilets not flushing properly. In there page they mention room amenities and things . I need to ask from them.

I rented this "dog friendly" room. My dog immediately was trying to get something from under the tv cabinet. I reached under and aside from a thick layer of dirt, there was a piece of loose chocolate. Chocolate is poison for dogs. Automatic 1 star. There were cobwebs on the wall next to the toilet and bathroom floor was dirty. The pillows were covered in what I am assuming was a previous guest's hair. Also, the tv didn't turn on.

Super overpriced. We paid $278 on Expedia. This should have been $100 with taxes. I know it’s summer but this was ridiculous. This is like a dirty 2 star motel. Noisy people living upstairs, squished bugs in a couple different areas of the room and bathroom, the drain in the bathtub was quit plugged.

Stopped there overnight; beautiful location with decent food amenities. Our room smelled very strong of a cleaner with a lot of fragrance in it which I didn’t love. We were on the first floor but the upstairs guests were running around til about 3am so our sleep was terrible. Otherwise it was a decent place to stay.

Don’t usually write reviews… The owner is nice, the property is run down even with recent renovations it seems. Upon arriving into the room it smelled like sweaty socks, had to air it out with the AC. The AC was so loud and on top of our bed so it vibrated the walls giving me a headache. Stayed two nights and could not sleep for the life of me on the first night. The people in the hotel are not mindful of how loud they are, the sound proofing is non existent as well. Our tv didn’t work as well, we had to fix it ourselves. You have to manually lock the doors from the inside. There was hair on the towels, our beds had hair in it and what seems to be some dead skin. For the price it is ridiculous but I get that it’s in a good area, would only recommend if you are only staying a night.

I had a great stay at the Swiss Village Inn. It was affordable and easy to locate. The room was cute and cozy, you can tell they are doing upgades in all the unites which made my experience even better. The staff was friendly and kind, they helped out when the power went out and when things weren't working. I only had two outlets that worked in the whole unite but i am sure that will change once they complete all the upgrades/renovations. Worth the stay!

Their Air condtioning was not working well. Informed to staff but no one come to fix. Staff was looks not friendly and they were not accepting the American Express cards but in their information they have written about accepting the American Express card. Room relatively clean. One light bulb out in bathroom. Initially provided with towels for 2 guests and clerk refused to provide additional set for third guest. Was rude and stated that I had only paid for 2 guests. Even after checking signed registration form, he was not very customer oriented and had a condescending attitude. He was the late afternoon clerk. Prior clerk was very nice. He told me that I was rude. Later gave my son the 3rd set of towels.

We showered upon arrival after a long drive, and knew we would need 2 dry towels to shower before our early departure. We were given 2 begrudgingly, and told they would be counting them upon checkout! Then the tv volume was so low we could not hear it. Remote would not turn it up. Asked about it at the front desk, and we were again, begrudgingly given the volume control! This would otherwise be a great one night stop for those travelling, but the treatment left us feeling otherwise.

The property is quite old, aircon is noisy, i don't like the smell of the room. But the location is great its very near to Golden Skybridge, and also other sightseeing near Banff, you can save money since accommodations in Banff is gold. Staff is also nice and helpful. I hope they will consider renovating or atleast improving the motel.

Rooms have been updated mostly. Was able To check in early with our pet with lots of space in the room. Close to food providers(walking distance) Would have been nice to have more information when checking in ie. hot tub hours, where the coffee is available, where we could find a place for breakfast, where to leave full dog waste bags….. Overall enjoyed our stay and found it good for the price point.

For the price, this is actually a really good deal. Its easy to get too and staff are friendly. The hot tub and sauna are awesome. No breakfast or coffee in the rooms but they have instant coffee and hot water at the entry. Shower pressure is weak but overall a good experience for some snowboard/skiers.

Loved the easy access of parking at motel. Staff were friendly. Room was good. Beds were comfortable and clean. Management could invest in coffee makers for each room. Rates were reasonable for the one night stay.

Room and bathroom were marginally clean and haven't been updated in ages. Noise from the road and poor sound proofing between rooms. Beds were clean and comfortable, but would not stay here again. No coffee machine in the room. No coffee in the lobby, only two hot water urns with a selection of tea bags.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. We paid CAD 185 to stay just a few hours in this completely ordinary, run-down motel, only because we needed a stopover on the way from the Okanagan to Alberta. The shower was a disaster. The showerhead was so clogged with calcium deposits that it could only produce a pathetic jet stream. The shower drain was blocked, so after a shower you literally ended up standing in a swimming pool. The bathroom sink was blocked as well. The electrical outlets and appliances are old, yellow and look decades overdue for replacement. The room is full of patches, damaged furniture and stained fabric. Everything looks neglected and worn out. For $185, this was absolutely unacceptable. It had practically every attribute of a motel from hell. We would never stay here again and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Pretty disappointed. This was a noisy hotel with outdated rooms, and pillows that left me with a headache and sore neck. The whirlpool/sauna were broken too. Not worth the price we paid and overall disappointed.
