Adorable inn located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with a nice view overlooking the lake from the back porch behind the rooms. We stayed in a very clean and cozy updated room. Snacks and coffee are readily available throughout the day. The staff was warm and welcoming. Would definitely return if in the area again.

The room was surprisingly modern for a very old historic hotel, and all the expected amenities (except a full breakfast) were included. The big jacuzzi tub was a bonus that I used both nights.The parking lot is gravel, but the hotel deserves proper hard paving. The guests above my room were a little noisy both nights, but thankfully quieted down by the 10:00 p.m. quiet time. Tim the host showed me all the features of room, something I had never experienced at any hotel. I highly recommend the Stagecoach House Inn, and Town Pizza for the excellent cod meal.

The room was available for an early check in as requested. We were here for a funeral and they were kind enough to leave us a sympathy card. Very nice room, comfortable bed, spacious, with a Jacuzzi and a fireplace available. A beautiful view of the river right outside our door. I highly recommend staying here.

Compared to a chain hotel, this was a great deal. The room was spotless, had fantastic view and fireplace, and was completely updated and clean. Would have loved the shared balcony if the weather had been nicer. No carpet in the room benefits those with allergies. However, this was NOT a BnB experience as I was expecting. There were muffins/cookies/snacks and a Keurig on a small table in the lobby. Any character the place had has been stripped away and only the decorations in the hallway remind you of its former use. The desk staff were efficient but not especially friendly. Had no problems checking in late.

After lots of driving it was a pleasure to have such a comfortable place to stay. Everything was clean and tastefully decorated. The shower worked great and the bed was very comfortable. AC and TV were awesome, and my own keurig for coffee in the AM Had dinner at the Wood River inn, just across the street. Food was really good.

Although this property seems to be trying, the mattress and pillows should have been replaced ages ago, the grout around the tub was black with mold, the room was damp the entire time and we could hear every movement above us. Finally, there is no one at the desk between 8 PM and 8 AM.

The toilet in the room next door ran all night the last night and i couldn't sleep. Housekeeping never entered my room to empty the trash. My linens were nice and i had plenty of pillows. A charming and convenient hotel for those looking for a less expensive stay that's not far from Univ. of RI, Mystic CT, or the Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun casinos. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms are plain but clean and comfy. It was a great location and experience and I'd definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. If I return, I'd definitely pay the little bit extra for a "River View" room next time as we chose to save a few dollars by booking the "city/stagecoach view" and were annoyed by the streetlights and car noise (I would recommend that the hotel get a set of blackout curtains for that room).

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful upon our arrival. We were in a downstairs room, which I found very noisy until around 8 pm with the upstairs office chairs moving across the floors. Also, the channels on the TV did not include local access which was not satisfying.

Very clean large room with a great view. Nothing fancy but there was a jetted bathtub (did not use) and a fireplace also did not use as it was 90 degrees outside and the air conditioning was doing a great job. Great location for exploring and only 20 minutes to the beaches.

We stayed due to a wedding in Newport. It was a pleasant surprise as we didn’t know much about the area or the Inn. Just a wonderful place from the staff to the rooms to the location to the Riverview It was all very nice and unexpected for the price. Highly recommend the Inn and we will ce back next time we are in New England.

This is a quiet little hotel that was the most enjoyable hotel experience I have had! The moment I drove up the gentleman at the front desk came out to help me with my suitcase and checked me in! He then proceeded to carry my bags upstairs and went over every aspect of the room, and the amenities offered. This place is a hidden gem!

They were good about refunding my money when I had to cancel and rebook rooms for a different date. They did little things like had bottles of cold water waiting for you.

This was my 2nd stay at Stagecoach House Inn. Love the unique historic inn ambiance, with many little touches to make it feel like home. Especially appreciate the personal friendly service of manager Tim! Very clean, quiet, safe.

The person on the desk at check in was very nice and super helpful in explaining everything and took us to our room with further explanations. The room was very clean and quiet though there weren’t many staying the night we were.

It was a lovely 250 year old stagecoach inn. Our room was on the front next to a road intersection and I am a light sleeper. That being said next time we need to stay in the area i will make sure to have a room on the back over looking the river. Since I am a very light sleeper. The Inn is very easy to get to and easy acess to most of RI since it is centrally located. Making it a perfect place to stay and see the sights.

When looking for hotels in this area, staying within a “popular” area could get very costly. Stagecoach House Inn is close to a lot of popular spots albeit a short drive to them, but much more wallet friendly. It is not a 5star hotel, nor claims to be. But it is quaint, clean, friendly, and a perfect spot for access to Mystic, Providence, Newport,…. Our next trip to this area, we will stay here again.

This is a clean, cozy place to stay. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The view from our room over Wood River is stunning. There is a cozy gasto-pub directly across the street. West Bakery is only a couple of miles away. In fact, this inn is convenient to many things including Rte. 95, service stations, a supermarket and restaurants.

Great customer service; very friendly staff. A good value for your stay. There is a park with a pond with waterfalls that is within walking distance. Nice option for fishermen.

We liked the location of the property with proximity to The beaches and the city of newport itself. There is a good amount of dining options within close driving distance of the bed and breakfast. The property was clean and the rooms were nice. The scenery off of the back deck was very, very beautiful. For the price per night, the value is very good. The only negative was that the breakfast could be improved and more complete. Your choices were coffee, Pound cake slices or muffin and Apples or oranges. On, our last day there.Juice was added to the choices. If you wanted to do breakfast out, you had some good choices for breakfast restaurants within fifteen minutes of the bed and breakfast.

Very clean large room with a great view. Nothing fancy but there was a jetted bathtub (did not use) and a fireplace also did not use as it was 90 degrees outside and the air conditioning was doing a great job. Great location for exploring and only 20 minutes to the beaches.

The room was surprisingly modern for a very old historic hotel, and all the expected amenities (except a full breakfast) were included. The big jacuzzi tub was a bonus that I used both nights.The parking lot is gravel, but the hotel deserves proper hard paving. The guests above my room were a little noisy both nights, but thankfully quieted down by the 10:00 p.m. quiet time. Tim the host showed me all the features of room, something I had never experienced at any hotel. I highly recommend the Stagecoach House Inn, and Town Pizza for the excellent cod meal.

Compared to a chain hotel, this was a great deal. The room was spotless, had fantastic view and fireplace, and was completely updated and clean. Would have loved the shared balcony if the weather had been nicer. No carpet in the room benefits those with allergies. However, this was NOT a BnB experience as I was expecting. There were muffins/cookies/snacks and a Keurig on a small table in the lobby. Any character the place had has been stripped away and only the decorations in the hallway remind you of its former use. The desk staff were efficient but not especially friendly. Had no problems checking in late.

Liked the quiet, clean room, comfortable bed and nice river view. There was a great restaurant across the street for dinner. Breakfast at the hotel should be called continental at best. Only sugared cereals offered. The muffins weren’t appealing. The bananas offered were old. On the positive side, there was orange juice, plenty of coffee and tea options and fresh looking apples. There was no where to sit in the lobby to eat. I guess It was expected that you bring it to your room.

Nice and friendly staff. Room not very big. Be aware that there is no hot breakfast as they don't have a kitchen on site. Cold breakfast offered, ie muffins, danish depending on day. Ask for extra towels as extras arent in the room just 2.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the Inn is in a beautiful location. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was highly perfumed by a wall plug in, and the dining was very limited.

A welcoming staff member shared useful information and good recommendations when we arrived. The building is plain yet has character which is in keeping with it's origin. Our room was clean and had in it the original massive fireplace (no longer usable). The Inn's location is very good for convenience and the ambiance. Our stay was enjoyable.

We stayed one night, The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The property was very nice considering it's age and the room and grounds were very clean. The deck was nice too sit out on with the river view. My only critique would be to update the furniture on the deck. Overall it was a great stay.
