City Lodge Hotel Hatfield, Pretoria

Ive stayed in the area quite a few times and was VERY impressed with this hotel. The location was great for food, the staff was extremely friendly, the parking security staff were also very helpful and friendly. This is the only place i will be staying from now on.

The offering of Coffe in the morning and cold drinks in the afternoon was unique. I loved it.

The pool was clean

Almost new hotel. Good facilities and staff. All around great. Just some noise at night from nearby clubs. Enjoyed the stay.

The place and location are great however, the Shower pressure and water level do not really measure the Stature of the Hotel. One feels cold even inside the shower which makes it unappetizing for a couple to shower together. Ice bucket not big enough for even two bottles of one's favourite beverage.

Pool from 8th floor looked not too clean bird poop all over windows. Not bad but a touch up would be nice to upgrade hotel

The room was Vernice and clean, staff was super friendly. The driver for the shuttle to the airport was a gentleman!

We tried the hotel restaurant for the first time and were less than impressed. The food wasn't good and neither was the service. We probably won't eat there again. Other than that everything is great. Shout out to the parking security team who always remember us and treat us like family!

I stayed for one night on business. The hotel was very clean and is well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the bed was good. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The hotel is lovely, great kocation and neat. Staff are amazing. The only downside was i did not have hot water, the water was luke warm at best. Cold for the second person.

The carpet needs a bit of airing… It has a damp smell. But everything else was good.

My major disappointments: was that the shower cubicle door was not working, resulting in water splashing all over the bathroom. The television set visuals are of low quality; I could hardly differentiate the clothing colours during sports matches. My first night was horrible because of the noise coming from the club across the road. I could not sleep until late in the morning. Although it was not the hotel's fault, the noise made the stay at the hotel an inconvenience. The food was great, and customer service was good and prompt.

My stay was good and almost excellent in most areas but if only the rooms could have fridges

The location was good. The furniture is old and there is only one plug in the room so you can work and charge your phone at the same time.

Constant hooting and shouting from taxis right outside the room. Broken amenities in the room (light and safe), no hot water in shower. Disinterested staff at breakfast. Shabby equipment. And checkin took almost an hour due to confusion on the system. Will not stay again.

Myself and other business partner rooms were without any working air-conditioning for the duration of our stay. We reported it only to be told that they will see to it, but that never happened. They could apparently not offer us other rooms because they were fully booked. Will never book with this hotel again, very bad service yet you take full payment from my company, what a disgrace you should be ashamed of your service.

Sub-par check-in experience. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, one pillow too soft, the other too hard. Breakfast excessively expensive. Hotel restaurant does a good dinner service.

Friendly check in staff , asked for a late check out of 1pm and granted by the friendly check in gentleman. However on the check out date, a very unfriendly patronising gentleman came to my door asking me to move out and that the latest check out is 12noon. Despite me explaining to him that i was offered a 1pm check out, he was having non of it and went as far as stating that housekeeping will be in at 12noon to strip my room ready for someone checking in at 1pm; this was at 11.50am, and i was still to bath. I took the quickest bath and made it to reception at 12.04pm. Fortunately the gentleman who checked me in was around, and i asked both of them why the harassment. The gentleman who checked me in kindly apologised and told me that my room had been somehow allocated to someone last minute. I asked the other gentleman why he said i was lying when his colleague next to him was there to explain that he had indeed offered me the late check out. I've stayed in this hotel a few times and have always enjoyed a good service except this time with the gentleman virtually kicking me out of the room in 10minutes. I have no problem complying if changes happen to change a complementary late check out due to new booking needs, but i feel the way this was actioned with no warning was wrong.

I never got to check in, when I got at the property I was told that they are full and no room was reserved under my name. I lost my money for nothing because I had to look for another accommodation somewhere else. I asked to cancel on hotels.com to have my money refunded but their virtual agent ghosted me. Why do they make reservations for rooms that are not available? It was a bad experience, I will never use hotels.com ever, they took my money for nothing. I am gonna sue hotels.com and they gonna pay my refund And pay back my legal fees. The City Lodge front desk also gave me attitude when I was trying to check in. I would not recommend anyone to use hotels.com

Great for an overnight stay when going to Loftus for an evening game however to be woken by the taxi’s at 6am was not welcome!!

Es ist ein sehr ordentliches Hotel, mit freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Die Lage meines Zimmers war leider sehr ungünstig, da auf der gegenüberliegenden Strassenseite ein Pub war, der bis ca. Uhr 2:30 nachts sehr laute Musik hatte, die sehr störend war

The staff were great but we had to switch rooms 3 times in 3 days due to problems with the room (air didn't work, tv didn't work, power plugs didn't workn etc.). We still enjoyed our stay once everything was fixed. We enjoyed the restaurant and the location.
