Verry disappointed with this hotel. Quite expensive £80 a night Not clean. Carpets disgusting. Room not clean. Bathroom unpleasant. No sink plug (not asking for much) Location ok for Bristol Parking a nightmare!! You have been warned!!

The room was needing cleaned and maybe decorated my daughter has fibromyalgia and asthma she was put in 538 with no lift and the breakfast they offer is cold food so if you have mobility problems ask for ground floor

The property only has 3 parking spaces so if you need one get there before the check in time of 3pm. We checked into our room on the very top floor up many flights of stairs to find that there were no toilettries so had to walk all the way back to reception to ask for some hand soap and shower gel. Rooms were very dated and carpet very stained. Broken blind in the bathroom. It did the trick as we needed somewhere to stay for just one night in Bristol but we won't be staying again. Lots of noise overnight from the bathroom next door, that was in the main hallway so clearly shared between 2 other rooms. Perfectly fine for one night but would prefer to pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time.

Stairs in the property upto the rooms were steep & there was no lift available. It didnt state on hotel information that was the case. At first the door card wouldn't work on the room door eg wouldn't allow access into our room. Due to this so we had to reserch a contact number for the hotel so I could report that as I couldnt cope with walking down all the stairs again to reception. The breakfast area was very small. Wasn't anywhere to sit & eat as only 6 ar stool in the room. Only had the choice to use throw away wooden cutlery & cardboard cups.

The hotel is a tad difficult to get into, so read their instructions clearly. There is no receptionist. There’s a bell on the front door, but don’t ring it because no one will come. The room was fine, but dated. The room we had was in the front, and the only air you get is by opening the window. I mention the front because when you open the window you get the street noise. Breakfast is meh! Finally, the parking! It’s a nightmare. There’s three parking spots for the entire hotel. We drove around trying to find street parking for 30 minutes, then finally gave up and parked in the city center.it was so far away we had to UBER back to the hotel. All in all it was a miss, but it might suit others.

Dirty carpets, poor cleanliness generally. Pathetic breakfast. Only one bedside lamp for two single beds. Noisy plumbing. Had to use shower to fill the kettle. When trying to contact hotel seemed to go to a call centre abroad. Parking available = 3 spaces for many rooms, ie no parking.

Good location and reasonably priced rooms. Only down side was that we opted for early check in but when we arrived at 1pm we found out the reception was not manned until 3pm, which messed up our plans a bit.

This is a tired hotel. The carpet in our room did not appear clean, the type you hesitate removing your shoes and definitely not your socks. Stains too. It looks like it could do with a carpet cleaner wash! Someone's hair band was left in the bath. The mirror was so badly cleaned that it was hard to see your reflection. Broken store slats in the bathroom. A lamp in between the beds with no visible plug? Bedding was clean, but the beds not very comfortable with a clear sinking in the middle. We were top floor with no lift and next to a shared bathroom for two other rooms, meaning we could hear back and forth in the night for those rooms. Breakfast was poor. Dont book thinking you'll get parking, there's only 2 spaces at the front on a first come first served basis and not much help with where one can park otherwise when i called the night before. Sorry but I would not stay again nor recommend.

Arrived to find that the on site parking was £20 and not £10 as promoted on this site. The carpet on the stairs was filthy and we walked 6 flights to discover that the electricity wasn't working. The bed itself had clean sheets and was comfortable but the bathroom door had what looked like blood or faeces on the frame. Would not walk in bare feet in the room because the carpet was filthy. Worryingly none of of the fire doors on the six flights of stairs would close properly. I chose this place because it was near where my daughter's student accommodation is but never again.

Won't be staying again. One of the cheapest options I could find but carpets were dirty and looked like they hadn't been hoovered in a while. Window couldn't shut properly and when I left someone was complaining of bedbugs at the reception and threatening to report the place to the council. Bed was comfy and shower was hot but hopefully wasn't bitten, I guess I will see over the next few days

I though the property was very tired, the towel rail was falling of in the bathroom and the toilet made a continuous noise after it flushed. The carpets were very dirty. It just needs to be redecorated and shown some care.

The room very dirty with stains on walls and carpets, it had not been cleaned there was litter on the floor. i did the check in but as soon as i saw the room i left and did not stay at the hotel, i have a strong feeling that there were quite a few immigrants staying at the hotel, which made me feel uncomfortable. the place was so un looked after i booked another hotel elsewhere and stayed there.

My room was filthy, the carpet hadn’t been hoovered, the chair for the desk was broken, there was soap and shampoo left opened from the previous person and the bathroom needed a lot of TLC. How the owner can charge £144 is shocking

This hotel is well place but tired -peeling walls and really old stained carpet .Whoever is doing the cleaning is doing a great job as the room was very clean but for the money so basic. We saw two other couples struggling (one at 3pm and at 8pm) to get in because they hadn't received the email to check in beforehand and no one answers the phone number on the email . You can hear the other rooms easily through the walls and ceiling. Struggling to find the breakfast this morning and no one to ask .

Unstaffed desk for half the day was disappointing, stayed in room 337 (attic room) and found a tube sock covering an unknown fixture (smoke detector maybe?) right when i opened the door. Beyond that, there was no way to control the heat so I froze my first night there, when the temps were 3 degrees AND the main room windows would not latch closed completely. Booked a double bed, and it was literally two small matresses pushed together - which I found out when I woke up stuck in the crack between the two. Overall the property was dated, the floors were stained, and the experience was barely okay. The snack selection, however, was nice- and the unstaffed desk meant they stayed out for taking beyond posted breakfast times (which I liked).

The room needs updating. Plug broken and walls and carpets grubby. More old rather than unclean. Twin room, one of the mattresses springs had gone. Tolietries is a small bar of soap and some lotion thing. You need to bring your own. One towel each which was fine. Staff really friendly. About 15/20 min walk from town - downhill on the way but fairly hilly on way back so bear in mind if you have issues. There are buses however. Parking on street, you can only pay for 3 hours and then have to move to a different road which was frustrating. £5.10 for 3 hours. Free from 9pm to 91m. If you are leaving car for entire day, there is West car park quite near which is £18 for over 4 hours. Breakfast, fruit, cereal, selection of milk, oak etc. Gluten free breakfast biscuits. Alpro yoghurts so dairy free. Tea and coffee is the little sachets which you also have in your room with kettle. Hairdryer but no iron. Plug in fans which were a godsend in this heat. Overall, it was ok. Wouldn't come back though.

No one at reception desk from 8 am to 1500. Was a difficult stay, was locked out of room after breakfast and emergency number no one answered. Other number was answered but call center OYO staff were completely unhelpful. Asked for a booking number that I was never given since I’d book from hotels .com instead of direct. Impact was bad for work as it meant I had to be later in given medications and bag was locked in room with card and it was not easy to find help. I would not like to stay there again, the receptionist staff and cleaning staff who eventually resolved the issue were very good and accommodating but the help out of manned hours is a serious risk. The call center function was a waste of 30 mins of waiting and being told they don’t want to do anything to help because of booking id. Clearly this hotel has not taken the time to understand gaps in its operating model which has serious risks and implications if people are locked out of their rooms and there is no clear way to resolve this unless they walk through the entire hotel and find the single cleaner tending to duty. Beware booking rooms in advance as hotel cancelled with no explanation. Reached out to them via email but as yet no reply. Booked a twin room but a double would have sufficed but no alternative offered by hotel. Rooms were still being advertised on other sites at a higher rate up to the day of visit. If booked in advance make sure to keep an eye on your emails.

Worst stay I’ve ever had - needed a place last minute and booked in. Yes it’s cheap but the self check in did not work, waiting for a text stood outside in the dark alone - I eventually got in and there was a drunk guy in the hall banging on doors with the same issue (his code didn’t work) but less able to sort it out. Got into room and it was filthy. Linen and towels were clean and a fresh pouch of shampoo so I’m sure housekeepers so their best but the building is a total state - damp all over the wall and ceiling, filthy carpet with huge brown stain all over it. Wall had grimy sweat stains from being leant against and furnishings had nails poking out where the edges were broken. The door was all controlled by a code and I felt so unsafe I actually moved the small desk in the room over to cover the doorway. People running up and down the stairs screaming all night and bashing on the walls with cigarette smells coming through. Run externally as everything done by text no one was on site to help. Lesson learned here but outrageous to charge what they do for this hovel.

No one available when we arrived. We came back to be told rooms hadn’t been cleaned so couldn’t get rooms till after 4pm. We had plans so this was very inconvenient. On returning at 11pm we were given a room that had guests already in. The next room was up four flights of stairs and didn’t seem to be the deluxe room booked, but rather all that was left.

Great location and it could work as a budget hotel but there were NO STAFF literally - you call a number but they dont always answer. Door codes dont work. Very frustrating. I got in but i met two travellers who couldnt access their room.

Booked and paid for one of our drivers to stay at this hotel. When he arrived later that evening he was told that his booking had been cancelled and the hotel was full. So much for a paid in advance confirmed booking. Our sriver had no means to cover the cost of a hotel himself and was left standed in Bristol. Shocking service. Avoid at all costs.

An extremely disappointing stay 1. marred by incessantly noisy stairwells, making it impossible to rest during late-night hours. 2. The absence of a room key was concerning, and the hotel's inability to provide access cards forced me to rely solely on staff assistance for entry. 3. The double bed in my room was remarkably undersized for a hotel of this caliber. 4. The advertised presence of a bathtub turned out to be a false claim, leaving me with a feeling of deception. 5.Additionally, the breakfast offered was far from satisfactory, consisting mainly of cold options like bars and instant porridge, which fell short of the expected hot breakfast experience.

Arrived at the hotel to find the limited parking consists of 3 spaces. Parked on roadside 10 minute walk away from hotel. Have restrictions on where you can park and for how long in Clifton. Code sent to my phone of access to hotel room no and another access no as already checked in online. Lady at the desk who I had met earlier to find out about parking informed us we had no booking with them. Took 45 minutes to sort which was very frustrating and offered no apology. Clifton is a lovely place to visit and have stayed here before but sadly this experience has made me not want to go there again.

This was my second stay at The Regency Hotel this year. Staff was great again, managed to allocate me a nice room with a bath - the only purpose of my stay :-D room was ready earlier so I was allowed to check in to enjoy my stay for a bit longer. Definitely recommend this hotel. Good value and very comfortable stay.

Good location. Walkable to many sights. General feel of a bit run down hotel with stained room carpet but clean bedding and comfortable bed. Small bathroom but perfectly adequate hot shower. Standing room or perching stool only breakfast but got us up and ready to go out. Good value for Bristol.

Good location and reasonably priced rooms. Only down side was that we opted for early check in but when we arrived at 1pm we found out the reception was not manned until 3pm, which messed up our plans a bit.

The room was clean, tea and coffee facilities were good, There wasn't a bar facilities, the lights and the extractor fan wasn't working, there is no lift and the handrails were low in height. Not meant for older people and disabled. Breakfast was very disappointed.

You get what you pay for not much. Room small. Carpets disgusting. Breakfast consist if cereal bars and some fruit. No service, no coffee machine!

Felt like a hostel not a hotel. "Breakfast" was a room with a table of packaged snacks and boilers to make tea and coffee in plastic cups. Customer service was poor, another guest was told they no longer had a room available despite booking and offered no help to ammend. Room was very small and required serious updates and new carpets. Would not recommend.

This is a tired hotel. The carpet in our room did not appear clean, the type you hesitate removing your shoes and definitely not your socks. Stains too. It looks like it could do with a carpet cleaner wash! Someone's hair band was left in the bath. The mirror was so badly cleaned that it was hard to see your reflection. Broken store slats in the bathroom. A lamp in between the beds with no visible plug? Bedding was clean, but the beds not very comfortable with a clear sinking in the middle. We were top floor with no lift and next to a shared bathroom for two other rooms, meaning we could hear back and forth in the night for those rooms. Breakfast was poor. Dont book thinking you'll get parking, there's only 2 spaces at the front on a first come first served basis and not much help with where one can park otherwise when i called the night before. Sorry but I would not stay again nor recommend.

Stairs in the property upto the rooms were steep & there was no lift available. It didnt state on hotel information that was the case. At first the door card wouldn't work on the room door eg wouldn't allow access into our room. Due to this so we had to reserch a contact number for the hotel so I could report that as I couldnt cope with walking down all the stairs again to reception. The breakfast area was very small. Wasn't anywhere to sit & eat as only 6 ar stool in the room. Only had the choice to use throw away wooden cutlery & cardboard cups.

It was great to get one of the limited parking spaces, that made life very easy. There were no staff at hand for the majority of our visit - felt like a back packers hostel. The carpets were filthy, no other way to describe them. But it was a cheap and cheerful one-night stay and we slept OK. Breakfast was ‘simple’, but plentiful. Some of the fruit had seen better days, the fruit flies were an added extra, we could have done without! All in all, for what we paid it was reasonable. A good clean and better staffing would have made it much more pleasant. The staff we did meet on returning late at night were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a tad difficult to get into, so read their instructions clearly. There is no receptionist. There’s a bell on the front door, but don’t ring it because no one will come. The room was fine, but dated. The room we had was in the front, and the only air you get is by opening the window. I mention the front because when you open the window you get the street noise. Breakfast is meh! Finally, the parking! It’s a nightmare. There’s three parking spots for the entire hotel. We drove around trying to find street parking for 30 minutes, then finally gave up and parked in the city center.it was so far away we had to UBER back to the hotel. All in all it was a miss, but it might suit others.

The checking in was done on line, but there was a receptionist available when I arrived. The room I was given was adequate, at best. The carpets were stained and the shower door fell off the rails when I tried to gently close it. There were Silverfish on the floor of the shower room. I complained and was given a different room. This was better, but the carpets were heavily stained and there was an unpleasant odour in the room. The breakfast which was provided was poor, I am allergic to dairy and gluten and, apart from fruit, there was nothing I could have. The fridge, for yoghurts, also had ice cream tubs of unknown meat casserole and half bottles of drinks. This is completely inappropriate use of the fridge. Overall, I was very disappointed with the facilities offered.

Il soggiorno è stato veramente piacevole, a pochi passi dal centro cittadino e anche comodo per l'auto. 15 minuti circa per l'aeroporto. Colazione ricca e personale gentile ed accogliente: carry e il suo compagno sono le persone più amichevoli al mondo.

When we first walked into the hotel, there was a strong smell of body odour and the smell was in our room as well, which wasn’t particularly pleasant. The bed itself was comfy and had no faults. The room came with two full length mirrors and tea/coffee which was handy however the cleanliness of the room seemed concerning. The floors also had darkish stains which followed the whole room around. The bathroom was quite small and the ceiling had weird brown stains seeping through the top. As for parking, there was no parking in front of the hotel so we had to park a 10 minute walk away which isn’t handy for those with a lot of luggage. The staff were ok and friendly enough however they weren’t very professional.
