It was in great condition and clean for a shared amenities facility. The bed was actually pretty comfortable and the room was very warm even with the window open, so it was well-insulated. But if you have severe dust allergies, I don't recommend it as it triggered me really badly - nothing that could be done, just thought I'd mention it for those that do have dust allergies. The kitchen has everything you need too, and the showers were a good pressure too.

The property is huge with several cabins. It was quite organized and clean in general. I can understand the water in the tap in general is not drink quality. But not having even one water filter, which of course the facility can surely afford but a big shock. They could have at least bothered to have a filter water tap for drinking water and let people know before hand so people could arrange drinking water before travelling, it would have been great.

Cabin was clean but a little worn down for the price.. Beds were comfortable and shower nice. Wifi didn't work in the cabin we stayed at. Fireplace was out of order. Overall adequate experience.

I can't fault this place. Absolutley amazing experience. The staff were very nice and helpful. Very spacious park with immaculate state of the art cabins and ammenities everywhere so noone has to walk too far. The reception/shop has everything and more you will need. Its also the closest accomodation to the Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre just a short walk across the road. If your planning on visiting Cradle Mountain i cant reccommend this place any higher. We stayed in one of the new looking units for two nights. Outside was cold, windy and raining. In the unit it was toasty warm with a great gas fireplace. Easy parking. Unit ED9 was a great place to stay. A couple of things to know: There is no WiFi in the unit but the cell signal was strong. The water in the faucets is not drinkable without first boiling. I wish I knew that before arriving as I would have bought more drinking water. There is not much in the way of groceries around so bring food. The restaurant next door is good but make reservations in advance.

The rooms were tiny and over crowded with furniture. The shower had a large clump of hair in it (not ours). Staff seemed more interested in getting your money than actually being welcoming. We booked two nights, but sacrificed the second as the cabin was so cluttered and old. Not worth the cost without some serious renovations.

The beds were clean however there were so many cobwebs in the bedrooms (behind the curtains) it was hard to sleep. The IXL cover fell from the IXL and the IXL itself was coming away from the ceiling. Outside buildings the same; cannot see timber under all the cobwebs. Definitely not worth the price. Could not wait to move on.

Unit was not as pictures showed. We had 3 adults and two children, toilet and bathroom was only accessible through children’s room. It was not photographed like that at all. Very dirty bed linen, beds unmade, stinky doonas with covers obviously unwashed. Dirty bathroom sink, scum line in basin. Appalling, would not stay ever again. Very overpriced for what we got.

Basic stay in a cabin. Wafer thin walls meant you could easily hear adjoining occupants. Kitchen area was a highlight of our trip. We met some interesting people and shared some great times. We stayed in one of the new premium mountain cabins. It was amazing! Beautiful king bedroom with gas fire, lovely kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, oven/microwave, cooktop. Gorgeous bathroom with great shower and bath. A living area and table for meals and also a balcony out the back. We felt really comfortable there, and it was so close to Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. In order to build these cabins, they have cleared a lot of trees so at the moment it seems a bit sparse there, but these will grow back in time. It was rather pricy, but then Cradle Mountain is in general an expensive area to stay. Also appreciated the sparkling wine, cheese, biscuits etc we were supplied with.

Our cabin was small, however had everything you needed for a comfortable stay! the decor is quite dated, but very comfortable. There was extremely adequate heating, including electric blankets and headlamps in the bathroom. It is everything you need, to make a good base for exploring the area. I would stay there again.

Stayed in bunk room with shared kitchen and toilets. Room was basic with double bed and bunk beds and no floor space. Only hooks to hang things on was over the heater. We didn’t use the hooks as it was a fire hazard. Shared toilets and shower room was very cold so didn’t shower. Cold and rainy when we stayed here so getting up to use the toilet at night was very unpleasant. Shared kitchen was clean, well stocked with pots, pan, dishes and lovely and warm. Many people in the kitchen just to stay warm as room heaters were all off on arrival. We did not enjoy this stay but it would likely be better in warmer weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin had everything that we could need for a self contained stay. The bed was comfortable, the lounge area had internet th, lounge and fireplace and the kitchen had all we needed to make a meal. The staff were fantastic, especially Tayla and Frank as we had tv connectivity issues and they were prompt in fixing our problems as well as being friendly they were people we enjoyed talking to and laughing with. There is a wild wombat that mskes this resort her dsytime home. Try and find Wilma, we did as she crossed the road gping back to the bush. It all makes for a very enjoyable stay.

Overall a great stay in an excellent location for easy access to the Visitor's Centre and shuttle buses. The staff were all lovely and helpful and I was surprised that everything in the convenience shop was reasonably priced and not over-inflated. Our cabin wasn't ready when we arrived around 3pm being the busiest week of the year, but after waiting a short while we were able to get in. My only comment is there should be more towel hooks in the bathroom. One towel rack is not enough for up to 6 people (we are a family of 5) and a mid-sized pot for cooking would be helpful rather than 2 tiny ones and one enormous one. Cabins are a little dated, but for the good price, service and great location, you can live with it for a few nights. We would definitely stay here again.

The accommodation booked through Wotif was not what I had asked for. It was a bunk bed in a shared male room. But the staff at Discovery Parks were very helpful in relocating me in a singles room ( at extra cost). It was very comfortable and I was lucky to get it after the error made by Wotif. Best to book directly on Discovery Park own website.

Absolutely exceeded my expectation!!!! Our cabin was one of the newish ones and was just perfect and fully self contained! Walking distance to the national park information centre and to the area to catch the shuttles to dove lake. Good selection of grocery items to purchase from reception area to. 10 out of 10.

We stayed in the premium mountain cabin for 2 nights. The cabins were beautiful and luxurious inside and out, surrounded by forest and nestled away at the back of the park. Big smart tv near the bed and heated floors were a great touch. Being remote its very handy that the reception office is stocked with local produce, beers, wines and whiskys, trail foods and fridge and pantry staples. The only negative was the water, which i think is just the cradle mountain area, is quite brown. We noticed it when running the bath in the cabin which ended up looking something like a swamp. I personally didnt drink the water from the tap but they do have a water filter on the sink.

This is a very nice place if you want to live on a mountain. Rooms are bit smaller but they were clean and basic facilities were all there. There is a small grocery shop inside reception area but you won't find much of groceries on mountain, so you better stock up before staying at this place.

We loved our stay here! It was so close to the cradle mountain visitor centre! The cabin was first class! Clean, new, comfortable and had everything we needed - including a gas fireplace! Will definitely stay here again. The reception even has a small amount of groceries including frozen meat which is helpful for travellers to the National Park.

We stayed in a two-room chalet and could not have been happier with the facilities. Everything we needed was provided - the national parks office and cafe and the bus stop to access all of the walks is a very quick drive or a short stroll - places to eat out are close by if needed - but chalet had an excellent kitchen that we cooked in. I will be returning with my husband.

Great property. We had a 2 bed cabin, spacious and warm. Very eco focused with tight sealing doors. Nice little shop with options for food. Not much in the way of dining options nearby especially for breakfast so take some supplies with you. We will definitely be back!
