This is a no frills self-catered room. It had a queen sized double bed, desk, table and two chairs by the window overlooking the sea. Shower ensuite and the smallest built in wardrobe I have ever seen (6in deep). There was hot drink making facilities in the room and some toiletries. On the ground floor there was a kitchen and a communal area that was clean and user friendly. There is a cafe onsite on the ground floor....open from 0930 to 1700ish. There is a continental breakfast option o. A weekend. With it's location right on the front and walkable for town you don't need anything else. It was good value for money and we will stay again.

Nicely arranged room and facilities, big soft towels, friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely few days in this little sea front hotel with amazing view of the whole prom, and the sound of the waves. We would be happy to return. The mattress has seen better days, but when i requested an extra duvet as it was very cold, the staff obliged, but then the heating was much warmer overnight, and it wasn't needed. There is coffee and tea (including a sweet little teapot) and hot chocolate, and downstairs, you have use of a fridge, microwave, and kitchen. There is currently no breakfast option, but it has facilities to make your own or the nearby Premier Inn and other places to buy breakfast out. There is also a nice downstairs lounge. There might be a small food area but it was closed when we were there in January. You can park for 4 hours outside, and overnight for free if you can get a spot quick is great, and you can people watch from the window as the dogwalkers go past, or just step straight out on to the Prom. It's a shame the double glazed windows aren't clear, presumably with constant sea salt, as that marrs the view somewhat. But it is definitely worth getting a sea view room here. I can't imagine staying here and having a view of the back! All in all, a little gem and thoroughly recommended. Hooe to stay here again.

It was a fabulous location, plenty of restaurants and cafes around, beach across the road. Very comfortable, excellent staff who provided us with a warm welcome on arrival, good facilities (breakfast and kitchen). Will stay here again. Thank you

Great situation, one young lady very pleasant and helpful. Was right up top with no view. 78 years old and had to take my luggage up all the stairs. Bed and pillows not great, otherwise clean.

Such a friendly staff. Small white room but we expected that, comfy bed, broken chair. View over sea fab, but windows suffer condensation and only one opened, so very hot. Key to door jammed locking us in but staff so helpful . Needs a new lock. Would we stay there again? yes we would, outdoor bar, coffee and cake excellent and happy hour. A quirky place with a small quirky cafe attached. We had a lovely time.

A simple and clean guest house. The windows could do with replacing but other than that the staff were friendly and quick to help. Lovely to hear and see the sea from the room. Parking is a pain when busy in the day but after 5pm we were able to park right outside until we left the next morning.

Stay was good, weather great, bed and room comfortable, Christian conference brilliant and inspiring. Great seafront location, friendly staff. Could consider staying there again. Last night of stay I was disturbed by other guests talking till 3:45 am, not your fault. Finding places to park for free was difficult sometimes, but there always was a space.

Fine here! Clean and tidy, with just a couple of bits that could have been improved, but wouldn't stop me going again :) Car parking at North Road was 24 hours. This worked well for me.

It was fine. The room was clean, the shower was good and the location is superb. The sheets were clean and good quality. Good tea and coffee left in the room. Decor bit tired in places, corners of skirting were grubby (in that way where they need repainting rather than cleaning), public areas are a bit "youth hostel". The ceiling in the bedroom was a suspended, tile affair straight from a 90s office and we should be beyond flourescent bulbs in bedrooms. The windows outside were filthy (sea spray and a winter film). The bed was a bit uncomfortable, pillows were crap and the room was tiny. It's also a bit confusing, as it's two properties, Cardigan Bay and Celtic Bay, knocked together. There are two rooms for each number and need to know which you're in. We disturbed some poor guy trying to get out key in his lock. Not sure why the don't just renumber? But the price is ok, the location is great, it was quiet. I'd stay again but keep expectations low.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was nice but the windows were so dirty and covered with seagull poo that you could not enjoy the view and gave the impression that the whole room was unclean and unsanitary. I was told that it was against health and safety laws for housekeeping to clean them.

I never write reviews but my little girl and I were upset by the dirty and tatty conditions of this guest house. Won’t be returning, we had to dodge the mould in the shower, the carpet was threadbare and the windows were so dirty we couldn’t see the beautiful sunset. Beds were awful too

Good location and a nice view over the bay. Room fixtures and fittings are very old and really could do with an update, but that is reflected in the cost so fair enough. However, cleanliness of the room and en-suite shower room we’re excellent. Top marks for that.

Cheap and you got what you paid for! Linen was clean, towels were clean, bathroom was clean. Room was in a terrible state of repair, paint peeling from the walls, furniture was worn and shabby, unable to sit on chairs as they were unstable. We were second floor with beautiful sea front views that we struggled to see due to how dirty the windows were (on the inside!)

Beach view was great. Room was good. Beds comfortable. Water did go cold in the shower after around 5 minutes. Also drained very slowly. Cracks on the walls that could do with being filled with a bit of paint. Otherwise it was great. We would come again despite these issues.

Great view. But not a nice place to stay.. very small room, poorly equipped. No air conditioning .. so when it’s sunny then you can’t stay in the room because of heat. The shower stopped working in the night. There is no one at the reception after 9:00. They did not have enough towels. So I was given one face towel instead of a bath towel.

The owner of the guest house and the receptionist were very friendly and welcoming and generally the stay would have been ok except the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was hard and lumpy, meaning we had a very poor nights sleep for the 2 nights we stayed. The guest house is though conveniently located on the sea front and it was very clean but a bit out dated. If you stayed in any room but room 2 your stay may be ok.

Lots of little things not working such as shower too hot, plugs not working. Dated rooms. Requested bay window but didn't get, no table and chairs as shown in photos and sounded like a nightclub at 3am with the amount of noise. On the positive side quiet clean, a good price and great position.

This room was little tatty around edges but very clean However the sash window in our room was completely stuck open which made our night noisey and cold and there was no one in lobby to see about it

Nicely arranged room and facilities, big soft towels, friendly and helpful staff. We had a lovely few days in this little sea front hotel with amazing view of the whole prom, and the sound of the waves. We would be happy to return. The mattress has seen better days, but when i requested an extra duvet as it was very cold, the staff obliged, but then the heating was much warmer overnight, and it wasn't needed. There is coffee and tea (including a sweet little teapot) and hot chocolate, and downstairs, you have use of a fridge, microwave, and kitchen. There is currently no breakfast option, but it has facilities to make your own or the nearby Premier Inn and other places to buy breakfast out. There is also a nice downstairs lounge. There might be a small food area but it was closed when we were there in January. You can park for 4 hours outside, and overnight for free if you can get a spot quick is great, and you can people watch from the window as the dogwalkers go past, or just step straight out on to the Prom. It's a shame the double glazed windows aren't clear, presumably with constant sea salt, as that marrs the view somewhat. But it is definitely worth getting a sea view room here. I can't imagine staying here and having a view of the back! All in all, a little gem and thoroughly recommended. Hooe to stay here again.

Poor welcome despite arriving before 6pm. Beach view was great but room was very shabby- roof leaking when raining- wall paper and paint pealing off, curtains ripped with holes in them, couldn’t open windows for fresh air, had to call maintenance as toilet not flushing and regarding the roof leaking, shower cubicle not emptying / blocking, carpet stained, we had to chase up our notifications with reception as not attended to, but maintenance man was lovely when he did attend

The Cardigan Bay Guest House was a pleasant surprise for staying in when we were travelling along the coast of Wales. Had a great view of the beach and a magnificent sunset. Friendly and helpful receptionist.

The heating system seems quite efficient round the clock and during Winter it's a lovely place to be. Staff were quite helpful with attending to the needs and inquiries of the Guests.

Booked a suite with a queen and single bed which Expedia and the owner confirmed. Confirmed room over the phone with owner the day before. He still gave my room away to someone else leaving us with only a double room which meant we had to have someone sleep on the floor. Refused to issue refund or authorize Expedia to do so when they called.

Stay was good, weather great, bed and room comfortable, Christian conference brilliant and inspiring. Great seafront location, friendly staff. Could consider staying there again. Last night of stay I was disturbed by other guests talking till 3:45 am, not your fault. Finding places to park for free was difficult sometimes, but there always was a space.

Fine here! Clean and tidy, with just a couple of bits that could have been improved, but wouldn't stop me going again :) Car parking at North Road was 24 hours. This worked well for me.

Amazing value. Right on the seafront, an easy walk from the train station. Chilled, nice and quiet, friendly service. Simple rooms, but ideal for my needs. Would happily stay again.

This is a no frills self-catered room. It had a queen sized double bed, desk, table and two chairs by the window overlooking the sea. Shower ensuite and the smallest built in wardrobe I have ever seen (6in deep). There was hot drink making facilities in the room and some toiletries. On the ground floor there was a kitchen and a communal area that was clean and user friendly. There is a cafe onsite on the ground floor....open from 0930 to 1700ish. There is a continental breakfast option o. A weekend. With it's location right on the front and walkable for town you don't need anything else. It was good value for money and we will stay again.

Such a friendly staff. Small white room but we expected that, comfy bed, broken chair. View over sea fab, but windows suffer condensation and only one opened, so very hot. Key to door jammed locking us in but staff so helpful . Needs a new lock. Would we stay there again? yes we would, outdoor bar, coffee and cake excellent and happy hour. A quirky place with a small quirky cafe attached. We had a lovely time.

The room was clean,the shower was broken but had one down the stairs we could use. The view was beautiful and the room was quiet at night. Only could hear the sound of waves. Definitely recommend this place if you like peace and relax.

The accommodation is a bit like a hostel with a community kitchen. You can cook your dinner or make yourself breakfast. I booked the room with the sea view; however, the windows were very fogged up and dirty hence we couldn't really enjoy the sea view. The door to the bath room didn't close properly neither.
