The Pavilion Hotel

It was only a brief stopover before a river cruise so didn't expect much and I guess it met expectations. Area around the hotel was a little dirty and there wasn't much to walk to. Hotel room was basic (fine) and the sheets and floor were clean. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Had a TV but it came with a 2 prong plug ??? Which makes no sense when its a 3 prong country! Breakfast very limited for western palate - no fruit or breaded things apart from toast. Overall as expected - not sure it's 3 star though

If you just want a bed for a night it is fine. Definitely wouldn’t want to stay longer. Breakfast was very basic no cereal or milk, only 1 fresh fruit papaya I think. Probably wouldn’t stay again but conveniently located to airport.

Pros are proximity to the airport, and available free shuttle to the airport as well. Otherwise an average 2 star hotel. Cons Breakfast is a buffet style with Rice, Noodles and Vegetables, and Chicken. Eggs are boiled but almost RAW. You can toast your own bread with butter and jelly. Coffee is ok. The rooms are not very clean. Ours was a Non-smoking on the 4th floor, but it smelled like cigarettes. There is Hot water in the shower. Only one half used roll of toilet paper was available. You get bath towels, but no face or hand towels are available. The neighborhood around stinks like sewer but you can find a few places to eat. Overall the place is convenient for an overnight stay before your flight.

Okay for the Price

The rooms and hotel facilities were very dirty. Carpets haven’t been vacuumed in weeks, the glasses were dirty the bed head was stained.
