Title: Beautiful Historic Architecture, but Lacks Hospitality and Service I have mixed feelings about my stay here. The hotel was built in the early 1900s, and the building itself features beautiful historic architecture. However, it is an older structure undergoing renovations, which comes with some downsides. When you first enter the lobby, it feels quite gloomy and dark. There was also a noticeable pronounced musty smell every time I walked into my hotel room. Thermostat was confusing. No one was there to explain. Shower controls need repaired or replaced. Hard to shut off shower valve completely. The biggest area for improvement is the service and staffing. There was only one person at the front desk the entire time, leaving it completely empty when they went on break. The staff was not forthcoming with information, and there was no one available to help with bags. The employees definitely need more customer support training. Housekeeping was also minimal. While the room was clean when I arrived, daily service consisted only of emptying the trash. The room was large, had a fireplace which we did not use, area for sitting, mini fridge and microwave. They did not make the bed or replenish used items, such as coffee. On the positive side, it is a very quiet hotel. If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the place to stay, but it works if you want peace and quiet. Overall, the historic charm is weighed down by a major lack of service. Conveniently located.

Hotel is historic and the rooms are pretty nice, but they are rather dark, and the lobby is dimly lit with ugly blue lighting. The gym was a disaster, with half the equiment broken or run down and weights all over the place.

The hotel is under staffed - when went for check-out in the morning there was no one manning the desk eventually after 15 minutes had to leave card on counter and go and the coffee shop that was anchor for the hotel has closed
