Our first room had no hot water, they said it would be fixed and said it was. Still didn't work. No hot water flow from sink, shower had none. Safe couldn't be locked( they had no key). Moved us to another room. Hot water was very very little flow. My sister had another room. Very little hot water flow. Restaurant is very nice, mini golf is fun. 4 pools, several bars. 2 hot tubs. Pools are various temperatures, which was nice. Air conditioner worked fine. The management is proactively upgrading & repairing the property. Can't recommend this proof, mosly because not much to do around the area, and the hot water.

Be aware they have rooms without AC, they gave us a fan only room. We were supposed to get a Junior suite and it was nothing like the picture. Not enough towels for the three guests, small beds, close to the reception so the noise early in the morning was not fun at all. Property is nice, cold water pool was been clean so we couldn’t use it for day and a half. Good food, decent drinks prices.
Be aware they have rooms without AC, they gave us a fan only room. We were supposed to get a Junior suite and it was nothing like the picture. Not enough towels for the three guests, small beds, close to the reception so the noise early in the morning was not fun at all. Property is nice, cold water pool was been clean so we couldn’t use it for day and a half. Good food, decent drinks prices.

Beautiful property, with some wonderful hot springs. Be sure to check them out along the river not only the manmade pools. Rooms were nice but ours was a bit dated and loud as we were close to the pools and restraunt. Food in the restraunt wasnt the best but was cheap. Great restraunts a few minutes down the road worth driving too.

I loved the large thermal water pool, and my husband loved the steam room, warm pool and cool pool. We also liked being in an environment with the majority of people being Costaricense, as we weren't interested in an exclusive tourist resort.

Un poco incomodo el acceso para una persona mayor. La habitación amplia sin embargo le falta mantenimiento. La comida muy buena. Disponible el pase del día por lo que el área del piscinas es literalmente un balneario lo que siento quita exclusividad a los huéspedes.

Our family of 5 had a great stay! Staff was very friendly, breakfast included was delicious and fresh, and the location and setting is stunning! The hot-spring pool is open 24 hours and the property has multiple pools, a sauna and a beautiful hike through the gorgeous grounds with a waterfall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Its a family friendly hotel. Hot sprinds are nice. Breakfast was also good. Hotel building is bit old and washrooms were average cleaned. Only 2 towels were left initially. No comforter in the room. Front staff was nice and they gave them to us.

Poorly kept, mold was on our walls as there is no a/c and it’s very humid and wet area. Before arriving we called to see if they recommended anyone for taxi service they gave us a number call we waited 40 min at the airport for him he never showed we ended up finding one at the airport then upon arriving to the hotel checkin they said the taxi service we needed to pay 100$ cause he did show up we went back and forth for a while and i said i would call and sort it myself before they allowed us to check in to our room and we didn’t get there until 9 so by that time it was 10 and we were exhausted after a long day of traveling. Other than that the pool and drinks were nice.

Nice hotspring pools, good restaurant. Great service. Place was clean. The overall hotel and grounds need some maintenance and paint. We had a junior suite and was nice, king size bed was good and ac worked good. We will retunrn.

Terrible lo peor, eso no es un Hotel son cabinas. El lugar muy muy viejo sin mantenimiento, el desayuno muy básico lo mismo todos los días. Comida sin sabor. Me asignaron una cabina en un alto y yo con niños, cuando llegamos en la noche estaba inundada de agua por goteras, nos pasaron a otra y también (al final pedí un paño para secarlo). A las 6 de la mañana habían unos jóvenes tocando puerta (buscaban a alguien…) nunca se observó un oficial de seguridad. El baño tenía tina, pero terriblemente vieja daba miedo poner los pies… Las cabinas huelen a humedad. Al final cuando entregue la llave les dije que había sido mi peor hospedaje. Nota: tiene a personas vendiendo clubes del hotel y dis que regalan una noche . Mejor no muchas gracias…

Very clean but looks old needs renovation. Near by two trails of 2 km to hike on and hot water pools. Good location to get out of town to spend time in the property in a forest. Our family really liked the stay, breakfast and dinner.

Place was ok, comfortable however, it seemed like the facilities saw better days in the past, in my experience this is easily overlooked as you want to spend most of the time in the pool / enjoying the nature, HOWEVER, just getting into the room that I booked which was the most expensive one available, the first thing we noticed was that the bathroom was dirty (and not the usual dirty, as it was like someone used the WC but forgot to flush it), I proceeded to inform the receptionist about it and her answer was "oooh, that's so bad" which is a reply that I didn't expect, however, she told us that the manager of the place was going to contact us on monday (yesterday) but at 11:30 pm of Tuesday there is no email from them, neither a phone call, the least I expected was an apology, as for me, it is a MAJOR issue, as it was almost the first thing I saw in the most expensive room

This was probably a great hotel 10 years ago but there is a very apparent lack of care everywhere you go. Rooms are ok but a lot of things fell in disrepear (light fixtures, switches, showers, hairdryer not working, partially broken windows). The staff is ok overall but the main desk doesn’t seem to care. When asked about tourist information « they don’t know ». The restaurant isn’t terrible but too expensive for what it is. Food is pretty bland and the dining room is sad and dreadful. I’d recommend dining in town for a far better experience. We saw a couple of cockroaches in the dining area. Location is a little too remote from where the action is in the region. La Fortuna is probably much better in that regard.

The property is scenic, surrounded by beautiful forest area and a creek. The hot springs and pools make this a nice place to stay. The rooms need alot of maintenance and updating. For example, the bathroom is extremely outdated, bathtub had a crack in it, the bathroom sink was falling apart, and the tile work needed caulking as well as updating. There was black mold everywhere, especially in the bathroom. Not a very clean hotel. Staff was nice in the restaurant.

If you want to be in a place where you are totally isolated from the world, then that's fine: There is no physical phone in the rooms, not all rooms have air conditioning (they don't tell you), the cell phone signal does not reach the hotel and the wifi is terribly bad.

No air conditioning in the room because I was penalized for using Expedia. The water in the shower was barely lukewarm and dribbled out. The parking lot at night was loud with motorcycles racing around. Unsympathetic staff who didn’t care when I said that I should not be penalized for Not getting a room with air-conditioning because I didn’t book through them personally.

Its a family friendly hotel. Hot sprinds are nice. Breakfast was also good. Hotel building is bit old and washrooms were average cleaned. Only 2 towels were left initially. No comforter in the room. Front staff was nice and they gave them to us.

Poorly kept, mold was on our walls as there is no a/c and it’s very humid and wet area. Before arriving we called to see if they recommended anyone for taxi service they gave us a number call we waited 40 min at the airport for him he never showed we ended up finding one at the airport then upon arriving to the hotel checkin they said the taxi service we needed to pay 100$ cause he did show up we went back and forth for a while and i said i would call and sort it myself before they allowed us to check in to our room and we didn’t get there until 9 so by that time it was 10 and we were exhausted after a long day of traveling. Other than that the pool and drinks were nice.

There is no hot water, air conditioner barely works. The staff in the restaurant and laundry are great, however the front desk reception staff are terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The hotel rooms and rest rooms are very old.

Bien, aunque le pasan a uno vendiendo el programa de ser socios. También a la hora de salida hay que devolver el control de la tv a la recepción. Andaba en gira laboral y dejé el control en la habitación y me hicieron devolverme por él. También se me olvidó devolver la tarjeta de llave (tampoco me recordaron devolverla) y ya yo de gira por trabajo y me llamaron y me hicieron devolverme al hotel a devolver la tarjeta de la llave.

This was probably a great hotel 10 years ago but there is a very apparent lack of care everywhere you go. Rooms are ok but a lot of things fell in disrepear (light fixtures, switches, showers, hairdryer not working, partially broken windows). The staff is ok overall but the main desk doesn’t seem to care. When asked about tourist information « they don’t know ». The restaurant isn’t terrible but too expensive for what it is. Food is pretty bland and the dining room is sad and dreadful. I’d recommend dining in town for a far better experience. We saw a couple of cockroaches in the dining area. Location is a little too remote from where the action is in the region. La Fortuna is probably much better in that regard.

If you want to be in a place where you are totally isolated from the world, then that's fine: There is no physical phone in the rooms, not all rooms have air conditioning (they don't tell you), the cell phone signal does not reach the hotel and the wifi is terribly bad.

Beautiful property, with some wonderful hot springs. Be sure to check them out along the river not only the manmade pools. Rooms were nice but ours was a bit dated and loud as we were close to the pools and restraunt. Food in the restraunt wasnt the best but was cheap. Great restraunts a few minutes down the road worth driving too.

Our family of 5 had a great stay! Staff was very friendly, breakfast included was delicious and fresh, and the location and setting is stunning! The hot-spring pool is open 24 hours and the property has multiple pools, a sauna and a beautiful hike through the gorgeous grounds with a waterfall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property is scenic, surrounded by beautiful forest area and a creek. The hot springs and pools make this a nice place to stay. The rooms need alot of maintenance and updating. For example, the bathroom is extremely outdated, bathtub had a crack in it, the bathroom sink was falling apart, and the tile work needed caulking as well as updating. There was black mold everywhere, especially in the bathroom. Not a very clean hotel. Staff was nice in the restaurant.

Be aware they have rooms without AC, they gave us a fan only room. We were supposed to get a Junior suite and it was nothing like the picture. Not enough towels for the three guests, small beds, close to the reception so the noise early in the morning was not fun at all. Property is nice, cold water pool was been clean so we couldn’t use it for day and a half. Good food, decent drinks prices.

It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. There was almost no water pressure in the room, and the toilet was not functioning properly. We paid extra for the barbecue dinner, but the quality of the meat was quite disappointing. At 9:00 PM, the power went out. There was absolutely no communication from the staff regarding the situation, guest safety, or when the issue might be resolved. After waiting for an hour, we went to the front desk and were told they had no idea how long the outage would last. We asked about the possibility of a refund and were simply told no. By 10:30 PM, we had no choice but to leave the hotel. It was impossible to stay in a closed room without air conditioning, fans, or lighting. The conditions were unbearable. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Rooms are old and bathrooms doesn’t flush properly. There are no other attractions around and have to go to la fortuna for any activity which is an hour drive. The resort is good with thermal spas and pools .

Breakfast is free but EVERYDAY it is Horrible eggs, sausage plantains, and rice...location is far away from most attractions. Rooms were dirty however housekeeping states they come everyday. 2 towels for a family of 4. Absolute NIGHTMARE!!!
