Masood’s is a great place to stay in beautiful Boulder Creek, CA. The lodge is in a great central location in Boulder Creek near restaurants, stores and cafes. The property is right next to the creek and has a convenient path down to the creek. I stayed there for two nights with my wife and toddler, everyone had a great time. I will definitely be back to visit Boulder Creek and will probably stay at Masood’s again.

This was a cute camping trip and everyone was so friendly. We’ve had a couple safety concerns about the lodge itself. A coded padlock was the only access inside, the code should not be easily guessed as this was. The door frame was broken allowing access to outside critters inside (we blocked it during our stay) and we assumed that a “welcome” plank was placed in a very unusual spot in the ceiling to cover up a hole of some kind. But, we had a quiet, peaceful stay. With a small walk, we found a creek with ducks swimming around. My daughter enjoyed this lodge.

Masood’s Lodge is a simple and easy getaway in the redwoods. Masood himself is very friendly and will make sure you are full accommodated during your stay. Our lodge was right above a creek. We woke up in the mornings and drank our coffee on the deck standing above it. Local restaurants and bars are very close to the lodge in case you want to walk. There are many redwoods on the property and around the lodges, and the creek is accessible if you want to get in the water. I recommend this place to those that prefer lodge camping or hotel accommodations.

Ive been coming here for almost twenty years, when it used to be the Merrybrook lodge. It is very special to me and my family. Masood has made a lot of improvements to this place, such as replacing the worn out mattresses and towels, adding heat and air conditioning, and kitchenettes in the rooms. From here, you can walk to grocery stores, restaurants, and a river beach that's wonderful for swimming. You can also swim/wade in the beautiful little creek right on the property. Or you can drive to many many beautiful hikes in the area.

Parking was atrocious, water pressure in sink and shower almost non existent, no hot water in sink, half of the lights did not work and you have to shower almost completely in the dark. Speaking of shower, the provided shampoo and conditioner were bottles similar to suave like they were bought at Walmart, just sitting in the bottom of the shower. Extremely unsanitary. Who knows what the previous person left in/on them. The tv had multiple remotes and was a pain in the ass to use.

The shower was very scary, it was dark and the knob for the hot water was extremely hot when in use. For a three night stay, my family only showered once. There were cobwebs in the bedroom corners and the kitchen had a lot of old grease splatters on the wall.

Super cute room, the location is beautiful. the owner was extremely nice and goes out of his way for guest. Bed was comfy. The coffee was excellent The top sheet had sap or something sticky. The fridge was a bit dirty.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Beautiful setting. The host was kind. We would definitely like to stay again but in one of the cabins. The RV was very nice to stay in but the price was rather high (though fair for the area during tourist season). The hot water capacity means you can have a five minute warm shower tops.

Sadly the scent of cleaning agents were so pungent, yet cobwebs, dust, mold, used tissues under the bed and what appeared to be unlaundered blankets remained. Lovely location and owners but could use a deep cleaning

The owner was kind and funny. The cabin was in good condition And well maintained. Wish the cleaning was better done. The issue was that I booked the waterfront Madeline cabin but owner took us to Mason cabin which he said is better. It was about 15ft away from creek with obstruction so we could only hear the water. I checked back online and it was not considered waterfront and a cheaper cabin where we stayed.

Spent a week in Jaxen, stream view room. Nothing better than relaxing on the deck overlooking Boulder Creek and listening to the stream gurgling by! So relaxing. Beautiful redwoods everywhere you look and all kinds of great areas to hike near by. I would go back tomorrow if I didn’t have to go back to regular life!

Masood's Lodge is far from a lodge. More like a motel, it offered little comfort. The constant barking from a nearby dog made sleep impossible. The overall atmosphere was far from relaxing. While it might serve as a basic stopover, it's definitely not a holiday destination. We were eager to leave even though we paid and could not get a refund, and find a more suitable accommodation.

The rooms (furniture, carpets, and "appliances") are very old and worn. Good TV and AC/furnace, however, and the location is very good. For the combined price of the room, and cleaning fee and resort fee, we just expected a little more. Of course, it was the least expensive option in town so maybe we were expecting too much.

The cabin was cute. But a generator turned on at 8am and it was SO LOUD it woke us up. That was after the smoke alarm started chirping at 4am that it needed a new battery. So the sleep wasn’t great.

Booked a cabin with one bedroom and a hide-a-bed. When we arrived, was told they only had a motel room style studio. Still had to pay the full price for cabin and a $25 cleaning fee for a cabin we never got. Fridge in room barely worked. Stayed here many times before. First time trying out one of the cabins. Disappointed!

The property was easy to find and the Owner was professional and easy to work with on any issues. More room for our amenities in the bathroom would have been nice and they could use more plugs for guests phones or anything else they need to plug in. The property was clean and the parking is minimal but the area is quite nice.
