Swiss Mountain Village

We enjoyed our stay so much. Our cabin was homey. We enjoyed the front porch rockers to sit out on and enjoy the days breeze. The play area was perfect for the kids and they enjoyed the apple trees and seeing the deer. They fished in the pond. No luck with catch but the experience priceless. Well located close to tweetsie and shopping.

Not a lot of parking but it was a nice place to stay

Everything was good. Just a few things to know…walls are very thin could hear our neighbors talking at 5:30am that woke us up. Also could hear loud noises from upstairs tenants like foot stomping. If you plan on cooking, bring your own pans as the ones in cabin 2 were uncleanable. We had to go buy our own while we were there. In winter the drive is steep into the cabin parking lot and luckily we had all-wheel drive. Other patrons had to park elsewhere as to not get stuck. Overall beds were comfortable and the place stayed nice and warm! Good location and beautiful views.

As always, a great experience. Looking forward to going back soon. FYI - if you’re using the grill provided on property, you may want to consider firewood instead of charcoal due to its size.

Pretty area and cute cabins. But had ice on driveway and walkways. Hot water heater didnt say hot to long.

Very nice simple accommodations. Full kitchen with bed and living room. Nice porch and area to grill. Pond for fishing and nice walking.

The property was such an idyllic spot! Just a few steps from the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the town of Blowing Rock and Boone, the cabins around the lake were so beautiful. I would definitely stay here again!

If you like mountains, it's a nice place to stay. But the parking situation of the cabin was not desirable. It's hard to park and not enough space. When checking out, we had to wash/dry/put dishes in the cabinet, remove sheets, take trashes to the trash bin outside which we didn't expect at all.

Highly communicative, gorgeous little lake/pond on property. Cozy room. Only reason comfort was a 3 is that the bed was extremely hard and also the lighting in the cabin was either very harsh or not enough lighting.

Swiss Mountain is an older property, but it was clean and very comfortable stay. Very quiet, but convenient location. We would definitely stay again without hesitancy.

The small cabin was clean, but it was definitely dated. Small flatscreen TV in the living room and nothing in the bedroom. The light switch for the bedroom controlled all the outlets so we had to unscrew lightbulbs in order to keep the switch on and use our chargers. Each room is heated by individual baseboard heating. Nice to have a small kitchen and they were good at communicating.

Good directions and communication however our room smelled very musky and possibly moldy. We only stayed a night and we checked in late night so we didn’t bother to ask for a change. I wouldn’t stay here again seems overpriced for the quality of the cabin.

We liked how peaceful and quiet it was and the convenient location. Also the staff was very responsive when we had any questions. We didn't like the musty smell and the damp bathroom. The dehumidifier did help when we turned it on. We will be back. Thanks

Very accommodating and clean cabins

The cabin was spacious and clean. The only drawback was that it had a window air conditioner downstairs but nothing upstairs. The bedrooms were warm, but I did find some window fans in a closet that helped somewhat. Luckily, it was raining so the nighttime temps were only in the 70's.

We love the cabin the only downside was no ac in the bedroom’s

Nice cabin will go again enjoted location and cleanliness. Th8ngs to improve bed is squeeky. No sswitch in entrance for light. No shampoo in bath room are nly two can improve. Thanks

We had a great stay! We came to blowing rock to go to lunch with a friend of my wife and wanted to get out of town for a night. The chalet was very cozy and quaint. Also very clean. No AC in our chalet, but not needed since we were in the mountains. We slept with the windows open and beautiful mountain air as opposed to Charlotte with 100° temperatures. We’ll definitely be back.

This is one of the nicest little gems I've ever stayed at! Before we even left we were discussing going back. The location is awesome, the cabins are spacious and easy to get to off the main road but set back enough to be quiet and peaceful.

I liked how quaint the property was and even didn’t mind the cabins were a bit aged and on the older side. It was relaxing and for the most part a real nice stay. I found it very stressful for being on vacation that the property has such a rigid checklist for its guests to complete upon checkout for cleaning their own cabins. Pictured below. We also were told we could check in between 2-3pm but it wasn’t ready until about 4pm. I just wish we had known that beforehand and we could have checked out another sight before going all the way to the lodge to check in. I do wish the rooms for sleeping also had a tv in it- it would make it more relaxing and help guests out as well. I also found it a little inhospitable that they had a sign at the front desk (pictured below) basically stating that they wouldn’t provide any additional toilet paper or other items than what is already in the cabin but there’s a store down the road. I understand things are expensive but there could be a better way to make guests feel more welcome and maybe just chat with them at check in and let them know they could spare a little extra or let guests know when they book they might want to pack some extra things just in case depending on length of the stay.

I was charged $50 extra and have no notice of anything. We left the property right on time at check out.

**Peaceful Stay in a Beautiful Setting** We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Swiss Mountain Village in Blowing Rock, NC. The property is beautiful and peaceful—tucked away in the mountains with a charming, rustic feel. Our accommodations were cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing night. We were only passing through and stayed just one night to break up a long drive, but it was a great choice. Even though we arrived after check-in and left before staff were on-site, they were incredibly helpful and responsive via phone and email, making the process easy and stress-free. The area itself is absolutely stunning—clean mountain air, lovely views, and a great spot to disconnect and recharge. It’s the kind of place where you wish you had more time to slow down and take it all in. My family would love to come back for a longer visit and spend some real quality time here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape.

Property advertised sending late checking instructions and/or lockbox instructions. After booking try calling the property for 15 minutes until stated office closure time at 5:00 p.m. the phone was never picked up and no instructions were ever sent.

Only stayed for one night since we were driving through, but would definitely stay again for a few nights. Only a few minute drive to downtown Blowing Rock and just of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Beautiful and cozy, our kids loved it.
