I knew I was in trouble when I sore there were no lifts ,that’s just the start of it avoid room 212 at all costs it’s next door to an electrical generator and all your here all night is buzzing ,I must have had about 5 hours sleep ove4 my 3 night stay so I am furious I didn’t get any money back it’s now in the hands of my lawyer daggert ,on the good side the shower are brilliant and it has a nice bar when it’s open

Stayed in a single room, shared toilets and showers. Very cheap for location. Very secure parking behind security gate. Bar downstairs is good. Easy walk to all things Freo. Highly recommend if need an easy place to stay in the area

It is in a dingy part of town, and there was a lot of noise from people in the street and noises from the port (sirens from the port woke me up a few time - not police or ambulance sirens, but machinery sirens I think). I had to ring a number from outside the hotel to get someone to let me in for check in. It is secure and it has secure car parking, which is very good. The room was clean, and the shared bathroom facilities were generally clean too. Very old building but clearly has had some renovations.

The hotel smelt very smoky. When the airconditioning was running it smelt musty. The window looked out over a muddy vacant block with a tent pitched in it. 1 of the separate, shared bathrooms was clean and functional, although the other had a blown light globe. There was no bathroom curtain, just a towel over the window. People kept leaving the bathroom light on during the night, which shone through our window.

You get what you pay for but this was pretty dismal. No soap in the shared bathroom closest to my room so I went and bought my own which was promptly removed, along with my towel, when the bathroom was cleaned and never returned. There is filtered water in the shared kitchen but don't forget to travel with a cup so you can enjoy it. It's the small touches that make staying somewhere great and this didn't even have that.

I was called 1.5 hours before check in that damage meant my room was now unavailable. There was only very expensive accommodation to be found on the net at the late stage. Great way to make non-customers in the future.

Room was clean and tidy, staff provided exceptional service, price was great. Restaurant food was exceptional and very well priced. I had the blue Hawaiian burger and fries. It would have been up with one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Good daily specials if required as well.

I did not get a refund for one night's stay. My Virgin flight was cancelled and I was stuck in Melbourne. I let the hotel know immediately that I would be staying for only one night instead of two. The manager refused to give me a refund afterwards. I did everything in my power to notify them about my cancellation with numerous emails and phone calls

The restaurant downstairs panchos was amazing staff where excellent do wish the room i stayed in had a smart tv but other than that i couldn't falt it

For $136 per night, just 2 single beds in the room - that’s it. No other facilities e.g no TV. However, convenient location and the meal I had was good, as was the beer.

An historic property now showing its age. It is quiet & comfortable & within 15 minutes of the central area & train station. Complimentary tea & coffee, board games & TV are always available in the common room. Limited meal options, although restaurants & cafes are generally close by. Recommended at this price point.

Room was clean and tidy, staff provided exceptional service, price was great. Restaurant food was exceptional and very well priced. I had the blue Hawaiian burger and fries. It would have been up with one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Good daily specials if required as well.

This hotel is amazing. Very old building with all the charm. The food is really tasty at a cheap price. The bar manager and his staff are really friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. A big thank you to Australia Hotel for the very relaxing week.

Upon arrival I was met with the receptionist Bailey who I found super helpful and friendly. Had the ribs for dinner which were great and reasonably priced. Walking distance to freo and nth freo. Will stay again for sure 🙏😎

Let's just start by saying the hotel was not a 5star hotel. But it's not priced as such. I was very happy with what I got for the $ I paid. I wanted and needed a cheap bed for the night and that's exactly what I got. The rood was basic but clean. Again all I wanted. The staff on the front desk was extremely helpful, again exactly what I needed. The parking was perfect all be it, I found it difficult to work out how to open the gate :-(. That was probably more my fault than anyones. I was very happy with the room I got for the night. A big thank you for the nice girl on the front desk when I checked in!!

Booked an overnight room really quickly without really reading description, suddenly dreaded I’d booked something terrible, however upon arrival I realised it actually wasn’t that bad. We had a basic room, there were 4 single beds, draws and a ceiling fan that was it. Toilets were across the hall. There is a communal living area with sofas, tv, dining table, large fridge freezer, microwave and tea making facilities for everyone to use. Free secure parking at back. Building is old and some signs of damp but didn’t smell bad and fairly clean. Actually slept quite well and would consider returning. There is a great Mexican restaurant downstairs. Ferry terminal is across the road and train bus terminal only couple mins walk away. My only suggestions to make stay better is some handsoap and paper towels in toilet, shower head could do with replacing in women’s shower it sprayed every way but down, and rear doors from beer garden smells of urine.
