The staff are friendly and always go out of their way to assist guests. The location of the hotel of the hotel is minutes from 5th ave, Walmart, Ado bus station. The rooms are clean, air conditioning works well and the balcony for the pool facing rooms are large and comfortable. Beautiful foliage around the two ground level pools. Roof pool has a nice view of playa.

This is a beautiful property, very quiet and relaxing. Not very busy. The complaints I have are related to amenities and maintenance. The elevator and hot tubs don't work. They say they have laundry but that is 5 blocks away. Wifi is poor and sometimes hardly works. No coffee maker or microwave in the room. I would gladly pay more if these things were fixed.

Great property. Only downside were the hot tubs were all empty, it would have made the experience perfect and would have made me stay a bit longer. Otherwise, great location and very clean and friendly staff. I would stay again

Hotel is Rustic, needs some major and minor repairs. Elevator was not working so plenty of stair exercise. 3 Pools were very nice 3 hot tubs not is service. We opted for the breakfast deal and it was good. Lots of food options very close to choose from. Staff very polite and helpful.

Total reprieve from the world. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool was chilly but refreshing. Loved the options of pools. This place has a comfort level of a well loved space. Nothing is shiny and new, but it is lovely and exactly the vibe we wanted. Bathroom is a bit tight with the shower so close to the toilet but it’s totally manageable. For the rate paid it is perfect and there is nearby shopping and gas stations and a Walmart. We felt safe and all was good.

Super hotel. L'emplacement est super. Proche du centre de playa del carmen. Beaucoup de plage et de petit commerce si vous avez besoin. Le personnel etait super , répondait à nos questions. La seule problématique était les produits qu'ils utilisent pour nettoyer les chambres. Le produit laisse une odeur très forte de toxique donc je vous recommande d'ouvrir les fenêtre et d'apporter quelque chose pour absorber l'odeur mais sinon c'était super propre et le lit super confortable et la piscine vraiment bien. Je recommande cet hotel🤗

Hace años que visitó esta ciudad y siempre me alojo en La Pasión. Lo mejor que puedo destacar de este hotel es su personal, siempre atentos y amables. Las piscinas están siempre en excelente estado y se disfrutan mucho, es un hotel encantador que seguiré frecuentando siempre que pueda.

The staff are terrific, always willing to help out with any questions on the area or suggestions for restaurants depending on what you are looking for. The breakfast service is well managed and the choices are varied and beautifully presented. The pools are clean and a lovely temperature. It’s a charming, laid back Mexican hotel that makes me remember what Playa was like 25 years ago. There is always someone at the front desk and safe. I love that its location is right beside the main square and close to Walmart and 5the avenue.

I loved that the property is located centrally and very close to shopping at Walmart or Avenida Cinco. Good food choices everywhere around it. On Fridays thru Sunday at the Municipal Palacio is a market and sound stage show that is nice for those that dont want to be close to hustle and bustle on Avenida diez. Since I've been staying here year over year I do think its time for new mattresses as I believe they have reached its lifespan which leaves you achy but nothing the three pools can alleviate somewhat. Also, the shower drainage needs to be maintenance as you are standing in a pool of water as you shower. A good adult friendly place that I will still return to.

Stayed 10 days at the hotel. Facilities are clean and staff very friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and was always with hot water. The housekeeping staff were incredible. Highly recommend!

The property was nice. The pools are great. The staff was very professional and friendly. My only complaint was that the hotel is located right next to the main square. The night we were there, it was very noisy and hectic late into the evening. We were worn out from travel and that made it difficult to get to sleep. This isn't the hotel's fault, but be aware, it's in a very active area. If you're after night life, you'll love this place.

I stayed 1 night here on my stop over to Tulum. The location is AMAZING for walkability! The room is small but clean and well appointed. I removed 1 star only because the mattress was extremely firm and quite uncomfortable for me. Otherwise, great little spot

I booked here based on the strength of the reviews, but I was dubious of the generic, staged room photos. In hindsight I should have chosen elsewhere, but that's mostly due to specific needs. There is nowhere to sit at a desk/table in the room. Usually there's a desk, or a table and mirror for women to do make up etc. I spoke with reception and they told me none of the rooms have this, so it seemed even moving rooms wasn't an option. This is a big issue for me as need to be able to comfortably spend some time on my laptop during my trip. The internet was also intermittent at best and wasn't working most times I needed it. The room itself was ALL bed, there's barely any other space. Even for two people the bed is unnecessarily large. If it was smaller, there would be plenty of room for a desk and other typical comforts. The pools looked nice but the rooftop one was the only one with a good amount of sunshine. The water looked a little murky so I was unsure about using it. The location is great if you want to explore central PDC, but next time I'll stay further afield and get somewhere with more space and useful amenities.

I was disappointed with the weak WiFi signal. I was told by the staff that there are a lot of people staying at the hotel this week, so the WiFi is not strong. Otherwise the hotel is in a good location, close to Walmart and 5th Ave.

We stayed here for a few days. The property was great, pools were beautiful, hot tubs weren’t filled, but it’s hot so that wasn’t an issue. The hotel is a beautiful old building with cute art features, comfy sitting areas that make you feel at home. The room itself was small, but the bed was super comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was the best we’ve had this trip. Parking was free and very secure, the only way in or out of the garage was through a staff member. We were walking distance to any type of restaurant or street vendor you could imagine, and maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach. We were close enough to everything, but far enough away that it was quiet at night for us to sleep. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel for the $$!! Rooms are cleaned daily, reasonably comfortable bed and pillows, air conditioning (nice quiet unit), ceiling fan. Our room had a cute little patio facing the pool. Pools looked super clean, though we did not end up using them. Door staff on duty 24/7, very friendly people. LOTS of water flow (ladies with long hair will understand), which is rare to find in Mexico as far as our experience. Only downfall was the hot water ran out without fail for whichever one of us took the 2nd shower in the morning. Location is excellent - across the street from a park and short walk to join the chaos on 5th Avenue, yet far enough away the hotel is pretty quiet. We would stay here again for sure!

When I first walked into the lobby, I honestly considered turning back—the initial impression wasn’t great. However, once I got to my room and interacted with the staff, my entire opinion changed. The room was clean, comfortable, and far better than expected. What truly made the stay memorable was the incredible service, especially from Omar and Daniel at the front desk. They were professional, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Their attentiveness and positive attitude really elevated the whole experience. La habitación muy bien, habitacion limpia, cama deliciosa, balcon con buen espacio, los baños son muy pequeños! El elevador fuera de servicio, las albercas bien, el hotel en general bien, la ubicación excelente. El personal es otra historia, para hacer el check-in llegue en la noche y el que me atendio parecia que me estaba haciendo un favor y en el restaurante fue lo PEOR, trato muy diferenciado a extrangeros!! Si eres nacional te atienden al ultimo y con mala cara!! En lo personal tardaron 1 hora en darme mi desayuno y aparte la orden mal tomada! Tal vez sueno quisquilloso pero no cuesta 2 pesos!

The staff are friendly and always go out of their way to assist guests. The location of the hotel of the hotel is minutes from 5th ave, Walmart, Ado bus station. The rooms are clean, air conditioning works well and the balcony for the pool facing rooms are large and comfortable. Beautiful foliage around the two ground level pools. Roof pool has a nice view of playa.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely lovely. Conrad is the best. He helped us set up our airport shuttle and the staff was extremely friendly. This hotel is beautiful, clean and intimate. We are looking to stay here again.

Super disappointed with this last day. I’ve stayed here previously for other times. And every single time they’ve made me felt very welcome. This last time I checked in, the guy who checked me in at reception seem aggravated. He would not even make eye contact with me. He spoke to a gentleman who turned translated to me. This has never been an issue anytime I’ve checked in they couldn’t find my reservation as I always book an hour or two within me arriving to the hotel. They had one room left, which I knew because the app stated that. The elevators were not working. We had to lug our suitcases. Up a few flights of stairs from the garage. Thankfully, we had help from the guy translating to bring our bags upstairs. When we checked out, it was a different story for flights of stairs was a lot to go through. The elevator in the main lobby was out, so we had to take all those plates of stairs to the rooftop pool as well. Which was a bit concerning as The top flights were extremely narrow and steep. I’m not a big person, but it was very claustrophobic going through those plates of steps. I can only imagine what my niece was going through who was double my size. We were across the park. Which I don’t mind because I love the festivities. But I don’t know what was going on with the building that it sounded like steam train kept getting turned on from the side of the building. We were at the very corner, so there was nothing attached. I’m not sure where all that noise was coming

Wonderful hotel and staff. Great restaurant attached. We enjoyed the pools and rooftop very much. The best part is that it’s centrally located. It takes a couple of minutes to walk to the beach, 5th Ave and the ADO bus station.

Location is great, next to the Municipio building. On the weekends across from the hotel there are stands with arts and crafts and also great food. Try the pozole, marquesitas and the knitted bikinis are really beautiful. The pools at La Pasión are clean and inviting. There is 24 hrs assistance at the front desk. Will visit again.

I was disappointed with the weak WiFi signal. I was told by the staff that there are a lot of people staying at the hotel this week, so the WiFi is not strong. Otherwise the hotel is in a good location, close to Walmart and 5th Ave.

We had the best of times. Room very clean and comfortable, staff always helpful and nice. The location perfect, short walk to shopping and beach and just right beside the big square here there were foodfestivals. Can definitely rekommend this hotel

The breakfast service is well managed and the choices are varied and beautifully presented. The pools are clean and a lovely temperature. It’s a charming, laid back Mexican hotel that makes me remember what Playa was like 25 years ago. There is always someone at the front desk and safe. I love that its location is right beside the main square and close to Walmart and 5the avenue.

Hotel bem bacana, com uma decoração diferenciada... piscinas e jacuzzis muito boas!! Quarto espaço e confortável. O q foi decepcionante foi o atendimento da recepção, exceto Carlos, que foi muito simpático e atencioso, os demais mal olhavam na sua cara e resmungavam qdo falavam com eles. Outro ponto muito negativo foi o café da manhã com apenas UMA opção. Ou vc comia omelete ou comia um pão... somente uma opção e sem repetição. Lamentável.

Inexpensive stay. Upper deck is amazing. Room was nice and clean. Front desk services were nice. Breakfast was connected to the neighbor restaurant very cheap and convenient. But the pools, hot tubs, and entrance lobby lacked cleanliness. Elevators were under maintenance. Lots of stairs so not recommended for anyone handicapped.

This hotel is very unsafe and practically unusable. Most of the advertised amenities did not exist or were totally unusable. We were only able to stay two nights of our seven night vacation before having to check out and find a more suitable, safe hotel. Refund was refused, stating we had to contact Hotels.com because that's who we booked with. When we did, they had to clear it with the hotel in order to refund our money. The hotel, La Pasion refused the refund. My guess is once this review posts, the hotel will update its site to remove the listed amenities they advertise but don't have. *Elevator didn’t work *Halls with stairs had no working lighting *No Wi-Fi in our room as advertised *Safe didn’t work *Ceiling fan in room didn’t work *One of the lamps was broken and didn’t work *No poolside bar as advertised *Lounge chairs were unusable *No lounge chair umbrellas by the pool as advertised *No premium bedding or down-filled comforter as advertised *Only one hand towel to share and no other available in the whole hotel. *No fan, window, or air vent in the bathroom. It’s a hot box.

Very nice location close almost to everything in pdc. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean but not sparking clean and new. The hotel basically is run down and not in best shape. Internet was really good and fast to upload and download. Generally is ok. the price was unbeatable. By the way has thees pools and all of them crystal clear.
