The room was large and well appointed. The landlady was attentive. It was noisy outside overnight, but this is to aligned with the location.

Conveniently located by the harbour and castle. Room 2 (twin room) was basic but clean and comfortable with everything in working order. As our stay was during the summer heatwave, it’s difficult to comment on whether it’d be warm in cooler months. Somewhat noisy at night and early morning due to the room facing the main harbour road.

So firstly when we arrived the man at reception asked for my ID and wouldn’t give me the key until I showed him proof of me. Unfortunately I didn’t have anything other than my credit card. That was no good I had to show him a bank statement on my phone, very intrusive plus he was grumpy and rude. The stairs going up to the room looked like they hadn’t been swept for years they were filthy and it smelt old and musty. The room itself was big and looked over the harbour but other than that it was tired looking, there were stains on the coverlet over the bed and I found a tangled mass of someone’s hair on the carpet !!! Yuk … The towels were very tiny and thin and well used and smelt equally musty and dampish!! Horrible… this room was £154 for the night and definitely a rip off. I would say find somewhere else. Very disappointing and nothing like the description..

Lovely place clean nice size good amities ( no hair dryer) it is little noisy if foggy and the fog horn gose off quite regularly I would stay again just take ear plug :)
