The rooms are quite outdated, but I go here for the onsen and beautiful view it offers of the green hills in the gorge area. Hearing the river is an extra bonus. The onsen area is well kept and been remodeled a bit. The rooms need work, but the important points- comfortable bed and good heating/AC unit are great.

Wonderful onsen experience. They have curtesy bikes to make the most of the awesome path along the river. Rooms were musty but you get used to it, it’s fine for a short stay. Nice and spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Iya Valley is lovely, definitely get out to the bridges when they open. We had one to ourselves and only a couple of people at the twin bridges.

房間內的溫泉真的是一級棒。左邊是紅葉山景，右邊是通過大步危鐵橋的火車，景色非常優美。大眾浴場體驗亦不錯，唯室外溫泉地方較細。附設餐點非常美味，我們雖是素食者，晚飯安排亦非常好。

Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam. Aber das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Dafür sehr teuer, also schlechtes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Das ist nicht alles: Der Teppichboden im Zimmer und im Speisesaal ist indiskutabel. Die Tischdecken werden selten gewechselt, höchstens umgedreht. Wir waren froh, dass wir am zweiten Abend einen Tisch ganz ohne Tischdecke hatten (bei diesem Preis ist das natürlich so eine Sache). Das Essen ist gut, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren gut. Der Onsen ist sauber, es gibt zwei Becken, was gut ist, da das Hauptbecken super heiß ist. Eine kleine Sauna gibt es auch. Le personnel est au petits soins. Le bain public est super chouette apres une grosse journée de visite. Le diner est merveilleux, le petit dejeuner également. La baquet privatif sur la terrasse avec l’eau de source est un vrai confort. L’eau de source également proposée dans un bassin de l’onsen est très bonne pour la peau, l’ensemble de l’onsen est très propre. Le dîner est très copieux et permet la découverte de la cuisine traditionnelle japonaise et c’est vraiment bon ! C’est un hôtel agréable et le personnel est très gentil.

絕對不會再次到訪，房間細小，收費高昂。房有臭味，冷氣唔凍，雪櫃有噪音，完全瞓唔到。以超過3000港元，竟然租到這一間酒店，真是後悔。

日が短い12月中旬の旅行で、到着が夕方になり、かずら橋へこのまま行くべきか明日にすべきか迷ったのでフロントの方に相談しました。その結果この日に行くことにして正解でした。建物は新しくないですが、清潔に保たれておりました。大浴場へいくのも、離れていて不便…というご意見もありましたが、私はそうは感じませんでした。夕食も朝食も程よい量で、お味も良く満足しました。朝のすき焼きと、プリンは絶品でした！

徳島市からも高知市からも車で1時間少々で行けますが、秘境感満載の大歩危にある温泉宿。徒歩10数分のところにローソンがありますが、基本近隣に何の店舗もないです。（それがいいです！）夕食と朝食をホテルで頂きましたが、ボリューム感あります。売店ありますが、飲料もお菓子類もそんなに種類がないので部屋飲みする方は持ち込みされた方がいいかもしれません。部屋は、4階の角部屋でしたが、窓からはほぼベランダ（3階の天井？？）しか見えず景色はイマイチだったのが残念でした。

We picked this hotel for a Japanese experience at a hot springs. Which it delivers. So this is a bamboo mat, sleep on the floor on a thin mat type of place for the room we booked. Which is what we wanted for 1 night. Shower is outside with the hot tub. Great views across the river while soaking in the tub. The shower and tub had decent coverage for the rainy day we were there. The dinner is set, with some items that were, uhm, unique for us during our trip. We had lunch at an excellent soba place up river, and the breakfast buffet at the hotel. There isn't much close by so dining options are limited

徳島市からも高知市からも車で1時間少々で行けますが、秘境感満載の大歩危にある温泉宿。徒歩10数分のところにローソンがありますが、基本近隣に何の店舗もないです。（それがいいです！）夕食と朝食をホテルで頂きましたが、ボリューム感あります。売店ありますが、飲料もお菓子類もそんなに種類がないので部屋飲みする方は持ち込みされた方がいいかもしれません。部屋は、4階の角部屋でしたが、窓からはほぼベランダ（3階の天井？？）しか見えず景色はイマイチだったのが残念でした。

Wonderful onsen experience. They have curtesy bikes to make the most of the awesome path along the river. Rooms were musty but you get used to it, it’s fine for a short stay. Nice and spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious. Iya Valley is lovely, definitely get out to the bridges when they open. We had one to ourselves and only a couple of people at the twin bridges.

Le personnel est au petits soins. Le bain public est super chouette apres une grosse journée de visite. Le diner est merveilleux, le petit dejeuner également. Dormir sur des futons est toujours une expérience. La navette depuis la gare de Oboke est tres apreciable, il faut bien penser a la reserver au préalable . Bon séjour

We picked this hotel for a Japanese experience at a hot springs. Which it delivers. So this is a bamboo mat, sleep on the floor on a thin mat type of place for the room we booked. Which is what we wanted for 1 night. Shower is outside with the hot tub. Great views across the river while soaking in the tub. The shower and tub had decent coverage for the rainy day we were there. The dinner is set, with some items that were, uhm, unique for us during our trip. We had lunch at an excellent soba place up river, and the breakfast buffet at the hotel. There isn't much close by so dining options are limited

房間內的溫泉真的是一級棒。左邊是紅葉山景，右邊是通過大步危鐵橋的火車，景色非常優美。大眾浴場體驗亦不錯，唯室外溫泉地方較細。附設餐點非常美味，我們雖是素食者，晚飯安排亦非常好。

Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam. Aber das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Dafür sehr teuer, also schlechtes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Das ist nicht alles: Der Teppichboden im Zimmer und im Speisesaal ist indiskutabel. Die Tischdecken werden selten gewechselt, höchstens umgedreht. Wir waren froh, dass wir am zweiten Abend einen Tisch ganz ohne Tischdecke hatten (bei diesem Preis ist das natürlich so eine Sache). Das Essen ist gut, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen waren gut. Der Onsen ist sauber, es gibt zwei Becken, was gut ist, da das Hauptbecken super heiß ist. Eine kleine Sauna gibt es auch. Es gibt e-Bikes zum Ausleihen (gratis, da sie nur ohne Akku ausgeliehen werden, was in der Gegend ein Witz ist).

日が短い12月中旬の旅行で、到着が夕方になり、かずら橋へこのまま行くべきか明日にすべきか迷ったのでフロントの方に相談しました。その結果この日に行くことにして正解でした。建物は新しくないですが、清潔に保たれておりました。大浴場へいくのも、離れていて不便…というご意見もありましたが、私はそうは感じませんでした。夕食も朝食も程よい量で、お味も良く満足しました。朝のすき焼きと、プリンは絶品でした！

View of the mountain was great. The outdoor bath was nice. However I felt like the dinner and breakfast halls had rather harsh lighting. Also the room with the bath felt rather expensive considering the experience. If the dinner and breakfast hall could be a bit more cozy and relaxing I think it would go a long way.

Clean and spacious room. Nice view. Onsen a highlight. Lots of options for breakfast. Presentation of dinner was excellent/beautiful, however the fish was dry and the rice was at times mushy. My only real criticism was the unavoidable smell of cigarette smoke.
