Michelle, was a great host. The bar is lovely and quaint. A perfect pit stop for a couple of nights for myself and 3 under 14s. She made sure there was plenty for breakfast and anything we needed she was there. The rooms are bright and airy and a good sized shower space.

Great value for money, comfortable and welcoming. It is a pub so could be noisy on a Friday/Saturday evening - but locals very friendly, participation recommended! No evening meal (food available elsewhere in the village) but breakfast is massive unless ‘small’ requested! Recommended - and will book again when next visiting Duxford IWM site.

The staff were polite and courteous. The accommodation was a wooden construction in the yard. There is an open porch over the front door and it was littered with cigarette stumps. The room was clean as was the toilet and shower. The bed and towels were also clean. The toilet/shower room was a little cramped and the window would not open. The cutlery consisted of one teaspoon, no knife to spread butter and no spoons to eat the breakfast cereal. The TV did not work despite two attempts by the managers to fix it. Later I retuned the TV and it worked perfectly. The mattress was uncomfortable, hard and lumpy. We went into the bar at nine o’clock and it was closed. We asked for a drink to take to our room and were told that the till was closed. Would we stay again? Probably not.

Nice cottage room, beautiful outside seating area and flower boxes. Quite low ceiling pub. Was cold in the night and morning though, and couldn’t turn on any heating! Breakfast continental good products, although could’ve done with one of those little box of cereals. Floor and shower could’ve done with being more clean. Excellent value for money!

The room was a good size, clean and well laid out. The bed was very comfortable. Thhe bathroom was warm and shower powerful. The breakfast we knew was to be in the room and a limited offer but had everything we expected. Host was friendly and helpful. There was a good atmosphere in the pub ( no food available)

Very comfortable, quaint rooms. We were only there for a night but would be more than happy to spend longer there. Cooked breakfast would have been nice but we were really happy with the price so you can't have everything. The continental breakfast provided was fine. Owners were lovely and we enjoyed a drink with them in the evening.

One of four rooms in an adjacent block (so no disturbance from the pub), the room and bathroom were very clean and provided everything needed for a one-night stay. Appears to have recently been refurbished. Good-size shower cubicle and good quality towels provided. We chose twin beds and they were full-size singles, unlike those often provided in smaller hotels. Room was large, warm and well lit. Breakfast was continental and pre-packed in a small 'fridge, consisting of one croissant with buuer and jam, one pain au chocolat and one cereal bar plus a bottle of orange juice. Tea tray also provided. Adequate - especially for the price. Had a drink in the bar before going to a nearby retaurant. Decent selection of beers and natives friendly.

Such friendly welcoming staff-could not fault. Unfortunately the double room was quite dirty and not in the best state of repair. The twin room was very noisy as situated directly near the fans for the pub cellar. There were no clean pots for breakfast on our second day, breakfast was to be had in room (cereal, breakfast bars etc). It served our purpose but a few improvements needed.

Great place to stay for couple of nights. Spacious accommodation in central location near shops,pubs & plenty of places to eat. Everything you needed supplied.Plenty of tea & coffee & hot chocolate which was nice before bed. Lots of towels & shampoo & shower gel in bathroom.Very clean.Only downside was the bed wasn't very comfortable & didn't help my back.Would stay again if in area.

We arrived later than we had planned but received a warm welcome from the hosts. We had the family room which is a good size, well decorated, warm and comfortable. The accomodation was spotless. We didnt eat there but will need to be in Cambridge in aroun 6 months time, so hoping we can stay again. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

We were in a double room but there is no mirror, yes, one mirror high up on the wall there are no dressing table for me to get ready to go to a Wedding, the bathroom is very small, no room to move to put my make up on and to comb my hair etc etc. Very disappointing , the first day no spoon for making tea, no knife to use the butter and jam and croissant were frozen in fridge as our breakfast ???

Upon arrival we were made to feel welcome and safe. The room was clean and dry, the only downside was being able to hear the cellar cooling machine during the night. Otherwise good.

This was really nice, clean rooms and comfortable amenities. My only issue was that I didn't know how to contact them in the morning before checking out, we wanted to get more toilet paper and hand them the key. So just more communication about how to reach them if we needed anything would have been helpful. My phone wasn't working so I couldn't call.

Great place to stay for couple of nights. Spacious accommodation in central location near shops,pubs & plenty of places to eat. Everything you needed supplied.Plenty of tea & coffee & hot chocolate which was nice before bed. Lots of towels & shampoo & shower gel in bathroom.Very clean.Only downside was the bed wasn't very comfortable & didn't help my back.Would stay again if in area.

Room was clean and ok nice and quiet, the breakfast was a bit poor as it was left in your room so was a box of cereal and milk with a shop bought croissant, plenty of places to eat within walking distance which was good

Room adequate, but advertised as including a free breakfast and this is only orange juice, yoghurt and small croissant left in fridge in room. Not what I expected.

Such friendly welcoming staff-could not fault. Unfortunately the double room was quite dirty and not in the best state of repair. The twin room was very noisy as situated directly near the fans for the pub cellar. There were no clean pots for breakfast on our second day, breakfast was to be had in room (cereal, breakfast bars etc). It served our purpose but a few improvements needed.

Nice cottage room, beautiful outside seating area and flower boxes. Quite low ceiling pub. Was cold in the night and morning though, and couldn’t turn on any heating! Breakfast continental good products, although could’ve done with one of those little box of cereals. Floor and shower could’ve done with being more clean. Excellent value for money!

Very comfortable, quaint rooms. We were only there for a night but would be more than happy to spend longer there. Cooked breakfast would have been nice but we were really happy with the price so you can't have everything. The continental breakfast provided was fine. Owners were lovely and we enjoyed a drink with them in the evening.

The room was very lovely set outside the pub with it’s own car park and area. Very helpful and friendly staff. the village was nice with a number of food options and it even has a hardware shop, a very rare thing theses days. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was well stocked. Only one complaint was the mattress needs replacing as it was sagging and not very comfortable. We have every intention of returning but please buy a new mattress.

Very tired looking room. Could do with fresh paint to cover the stuff marks and some new net curtains as these were ripped and hanging down. Room could have done with a good clean but the bedding, towels, toilet, shower & sink were clean. Bed wasn’t comfortable. Lots of noise from the main road. Would expect more for £80 per night. Wouldn't stay again unless there was some improvements made.

Not great for the money, spend another 20 quid and get a better room somewhere else. 1 towel No shampoo or soap and no heat as it was shut off. Breakfast was a few biscuits, a wrapped croissant and a couple of boxes of cereal, meh at best.
