Super 7 Inn Tecumseh

I’ve had to stay at this property a few times as it is the only place in town to stay. In the future, I will definitely make the 45 minute drive to a better hotel. It is very much in disrepair and dirty. Don’t let the “excuse our mess while under construction“ signs, they are doing absolutely no repairs in the six months I’ve been coming through here.

They look like they are in the midst of remodeling but it also looks like the project has been sitting for some time. The room was clean enough, new sheets. The small breakfast counter only had packaged bagels. I would not recommend the coffee. It was watered down and had things floating on top. It is the only hotel in town. I would recommend staying in a different town and driving in if you have an event in town.

The rooms were up to date and appeared nice. Everything else (outside, hallways and entrance) was either nasty or under construction (for years it seems). The outside of the hotel has spare parts, grills, beer bottles and junk everywhere. They would benefit greatly from building a shed to keep all of their junk and spare parts in. We came back from a rainstorm and the 6 foot radius on the inside of our room around our door was flooded. I told the desk assistant and they said they are aware of it. This place didn’t seem to have that many guests, and There are so many rooms they could have put us in. So with that in mind, either all of the rooms are leaking or they just didn’t care to put us in a room that didn’t leak. The breakfast was basically non-existent. They had very little food and the food they did have seemed to be leftovers from the day before and the orange juice dispenser seemed to be moldy. This hotel has so much potential but they just seem to not care. Under the right direction this hotel could go from a 2 star to a 4 star with ease but I do not foresee this happening.

I was not impressed with customers sitting outside my door upon our arrival and they were drinking beer and playing loud music and leaving their trash scattered everywhere around where they were sitting! Breakfast bar had NO fruit or sugar free items! Hotel is updating rooms and painting exterior of their hotel and did have that posted! They need to finish door seals so the rain doesn’t come in during customers stay! Cable tv was good and beds were firm! Hotel needs some TLC, tender loving care which would improve the image and quality of their customers stay!

The staff was friendly & helpful. They are renovating & common areas are awful. The guest laundry was straight up disgusting both dirty & a bad odor. I found the bed comfortable & the accessory furniture appeared new. Towels also should be used as rags as most had stains. Would like to try again after renovations are complete to be fair.
