This ideally situated hotel is one of Montauk's best offerings. The staff are friendly and always ready and willing to assist. The room is very clean while the grounds, including the pool area, are beautiful and well maintained. The steam room and sauna are an added bonus as are morning yoga classes. A complimentary continental breafast (muffins, coffee, tea, yogurt, juice) is a nice touch. The beach is located directly across the street from the hotel. The beach attendants are very friendly and hard working. They assist in setting up the umbrellas and very comfy beanie bag cushions. My only advice is to seek an upper level room or hope for courteous upstairs guests. All in all, a wonderful stay.

We booked a King Oceanfront but you can't really see the ocean very well over the tall dunes, just a sliver of water. The room and the property were all clean, the bed comfortable, the deck a good size. The sink outside the bathroom was cute was awkward. I'd want to be using the sink while in the bathroom, but not a huge deal. The actual bathroom and shower space had a pocket door for the toilet but no mirrors in that space. Again, awkward. We had trouble getting our tv to log onto our streaming channels. They sent in a couple of people who finally got it going, but it took a very long time to fix. What's needed in these rooms annd deck are more soft seating areas-all chairs, stools are hard. Only soft space is the bed. The fridge is nice to have but a microwave would be great too. The heated pool is great and access to the beach is pretty close but the bean bag chairs they provide are, again, awkward, and not the most comfy. The breakfast they provide was fine ( oatmeal, muffins, granola bars, fresh fruit) but we ate out after the first morning for more substantial fare. There's a nice water refilling station in the front desk that I used often. Downstairs we found showers, a sauna and steam room. Didn't use, but nice to have. I'd try a differ Hotel next time that has more of a view and more comfortable surroundings.

The rooms were clean. The bathroom had a pocket door for the toilet area that did not close properly and the lock did not work. The shower was outside the toilet area, but there was no door only a curtain.
