Hervoragendes geschichtsträchtiges Hotel mit ausgezeichnetem Essen zu zahlbaren Preisen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gute Verbindungs Möglichkeiten in die Stadt. Nur die Parkplatz Situation ist bei vollem Hotel schwierig, besonders wenn man am Abend ankommt, da das Restaurant wegen des hervor- ragenden Essens fast immer voll ist. (kein Ruhetag!) Absolut weiter zu empfehlen!

We arrived late on a Saturday so no parking directly outside but just over the road and free. The hotel restaurant was very busy but also very good, they stopped serving at 9pm. Check in was quick and easy. Room was top floor. Stunning. Was a bit warm but it was 35 in June and they had provided 2 fans that helped. It was very clean. Snacks and water in room to purchase if required. Hotel was very quiet and we had the best night sleep. Breakfast the next day, wow. It was so nice. The lady serving coffee was friendly and efficient. The food was so good. 4 types of homemade yoghurts, cereals, dried fruits and nuts, 6 types.of jam, homemade. Fresh fruit, inc melon, Fresh bread, rolls, prtzels, pastries. Scrammbled and boiled eggs, bacon. Then there was the chilled section of hams, cheese, salami, pate ect. It wasnt just a few slices on a tray it was a redlly good selection. I do like a hotel breakfast and this was one of the best. It was a really lovely stay.

I really liked this hotel. Our room on the first (Americans would say "second") floor (16) was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Even though it was hot outside, the room was comfortable without AC. The restaurant was wonderful, and we ate both lunch and dinner there mutliple times. You need to make reservations for dinner at the restaurant, which you can easily do through the hotel website. Most of the hotel and restaurant staff speak English and had patience with my German. The Steppach Mitte bus stop is about 100 yeards from the hotel. You can take the bus to streetcar stops. The closest streetcar stop is five minutes away by car "Augsburg West P&R" and is a "park and ride." A car is convenient but not necessary for most to stay here. Parking is an issue at the hotel, especially when the restaurant / beer garden is open. There is no elevator. We were initially given a room (31) on the second (Americans would say "third") floor that was small, hot, and dark, with small windows. The German word that came to my mind was "finster." We had to stay in that room one night while the hotel staff arranged for a different room the next day. (The hotel was full.) The staff did a great job switching our rooms. The neighborhood is worth exploring. Kobel Cross and Bismarck Tower--both on hills with spectacular views of Augsburg--are a mile or so away. I walked to each multiple times. I would be remiss if I failed to mention that the breakfasts were simply excellent.

Ein schönes historisches Haus mit netten Angestellten aber einem leider vorhandenem Parkplatzproblem.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Nur die Parkplätze sind sehr begrenzt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Der Gasthof liegt am Stadtrand von Augsburg, die bauliche Umgebung ist recht unterschiedlich. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, und freundlich war auch der gesamte Service. Das Zimmer war groß und zeigte das Ambiente, das ein altes, unter Denkmalschutz stehendes Haus für ein Zimmer im Dachgeschoss verspricht: imposante Balken selbst oberhalb der Duschkabine. Für Freunde harter Matratzen ist der Brauereigasthof Fuchs die richtige Adresse. Neben der originellen, aus Altmaterialien kreierten Schreibtischlampe (solche Leuchten gibt es im ganzen Haus) standen Wasser und Apfelsaft, dazu eine paar Knabbersachen. Eine Kühlbox sahen wir nicht. Der Flachbild-Fernseher ist angenehm groß, so dass man auch vom Bett aus noch Texte lesen kann. Der separate Frühstücksraum ist stilvoll gestaltet und schön hell. Müsli-Freunde können sich laben an Joghurt, Haferflocken, Nüssen, Kernen, Körnern und Flocken. Eine schöne Auswahl an Käse und Wurstwaren von guter Qualität lag bereit. Die Backwaren, soweit wir sie bei unserem einen Frühstück probieren konnten, waren von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Besondere Freude für mich: Neben den frischen Brötchen gab es auch Brot war vom Vortag: bissfest und nicht nur nachgiebig und krümelig. Es gab ordentlichen Filterkaffee. Gut bürgerlich und schmackhaft ist auch das Speisen-Angebot im großen Restaurant. Die Portionen (Wiener Schnitzel und Spanferkelbraten) waren sehr reichlich. Wir parkten am Straßenrand, es gab etliche weitere freie Plätze.

Ganz tolle Unterkunft, hervorragende Gastwirtschaft und auch das Frühstück war wunderbar! Für unser Baby wurde ein Babybett bereitgestellt. Die Zimmer waren sauber, ruhig und urig eingerichtet. Wir kommen hoffentlich irgendwann wieder! Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt neben dem Putzraum und neben der Treppe. Ab 6 Uhr morgens war, auf Grund des Lärms, nicht mehr an Schlaf zu denken. Sehr harte Matratzen, die einen Schoner aus Kunststoff haben, wodurch ich mehrfach nachts aufwachte, weil ich komplett nass geschwitzt war. Im Bad war der Halter für den Duschkopf abgebrochen, so dass wir mit der Brause in der Hand duschen mussten. Der Duschvorhang im unteren Bereich rot verschimmelt. Auf dem Frühstücksbuffet eingepackter Käse, bei dem das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum bereits abgelaufen war - am groß aufgedruckten Ablaufdatum gut zu sehen. Neun von neun der Käsepackungen waren abgelaufen Fazit: wir würden dort nicht mehr übernachten. Positiv: Im Gasthof kann man gut zu Abend essen. Das Bier schmeckt auch.

Sehr schönes Hotel ! SUPER Biergarten mit lecker Essen ! Personal sehr, sehr Freundlich, einfach nur SUPER !!! Badezimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen ! Eine extra Ablage im Bad wäre schön gewesen ! Aber insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen !

Das Bad ist dringend renovierungsbedürftig. So eine alte Duschkabine mit verschimmelten Silikonfugen geht gar nicht...

The lady serving coffee was friendly and efficient. The food was so good. 4 types of homemade yoghurts, cereals, dried fruits and nuts, 6 types.of jam, homemade. Fresh fruit, inc melon, Fresh bread, rolls, prtzels, pastries. Scrammbled and boiled eggs, bacon. Then there was the chilled section of hams, cheese, salami, pate ect. It wasnt just a few slices on a tray it was a redlly good selection. I do like a hotel breakfast and this was one of the best. It was a really lovely stay.

TV and one of the fans didn't work. It would be a very hot place to stay later in the summer without the fan.

Sehr netter Empfang. Alles Sauber und gemütlich. Die Betten sind super. Das Frühstück reichlich und sehr gut. ABER: Das Familieen Zimmer ist unter dem Dach auf zwei Etagen. In der oberen Etage gibt es kein Fenster nur einen Decken Ventilator. Anfang April war es schon unerträgliche heiß, obwohl die Betten super waren haben wir kein Auge zugetan. Im Sommer würe ich keine Minute in diesem Zimmer verbringen wollen!!!!

Purtroppo la persona con cui ci siamo messi d’accordo per il self check-in la sera tardi si è dimenticato di lasciare le chiavi della camera e non essendoci un numero telefonico di emergenza abbiamo dovuto chiamare la polizia che nemmeno aveva un recapito. Alla fine siamo stati costretti a trovare un altro hotel nei paraggi alle 2 di notte. Il giorno dopo, per rimediare l’hotel ci ha offerto la seconda notte a metà del prezzo. Il personale si è scusato per l’accaduto ed è stato gentile. Peccato perché avevamo scelto questo posto accuratamente e ci sarebbe piaciuto dormire lì entrambe le notti.

Lekker eten, mooie kamer, goed terras. Wij waren op doorreis naar Oostenrijk……prima!

Wir waren vier Tage dort. Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr schön. Die Gaststube ist Urgemütlich und das Essen sehr lecker. Auch das Frühstück vom Buffet ist sehr Reichhaltig. Alles in einem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt.
