Baudins of Busselton Bed and Breakfast - Adults only

First of all, let me say that the room and bathroom were very comfortable. A few minor points to note: 1. One of the fitted sheets had holes in it. 2. If housekeeping insist on leaving the electric blankets on the bed, make sure the controls are on the side, not in the middle. I had to remake the single bed before I could use it. 3. Only one pat of butter left for our breakfast, but lots of other jams, etc. Need more in the fridge. 4. Very dusty wooden Venetian blinds in the room and bathroom. We would have enjoyed our stay even more if the out of hours manager had been more helpful. We checked into room, parked up then a few hours later we went out for dinner. When we returned, all the parking bays were taken. I called the number on the door and was re-directed to the out of hours manager. I asked if we could park Infront of the garage at the front of the property and was told no, this was not possible as there was parking across the road. There wasn't, as the plot is all fenced off for construction. We were told to find somewhere else to park which was really unhelpful at 10.30pm. We had to park infront of the vet clinic next door and hope that our car would not be towed. This basically ruined our stay. The out of hours staff need to be educated correctly.

A light is needed to illuminate the number of the property so that it can be easily detected at night

Very clean, nice rooms,breakfast, good parking. Wi-Fi did disappear for 12 hours approx. Overall 5 stars

We stayed 3 nights here over Easter in the rear house, very clean, nicely furnished & the bed was comfortable. The lady who cleaned & brestocked each day was lovely & very helpful. The car parking is a bit tight if you have a bigger car ( we have a Ford Ranger ) & is not allocated, is first in best dressed.

Property was quiet and bed was okay, but extensive stains on the carpet and hard to park in the very small parking area. Lots of signs about "Award Winning Property", but that was years ago and would not stay here again.

It is a very comfortable place to spend a few nights when visiting the area (Busselton or Margaret River). The rooms are spotless with a good shower. The communal kitchen area has enough in there to see you on your way and there is a drop of port in a decanter should you fancy a nightcap which is a lovely touch. Very slight niggles, The WiFi didn’t work and it feels a little dated but it represents good value for money.

Well equipped kitchen. Self serve. Continental breakfast There was no iron and nobody available to drop one off.

Very happy with our stay. Well laid out, tidy and clean. Extras in kitchen..croissants, fruit, yogout, bread, butter, jams etc were great. Would recommend Baudins to friends.

I really wanted to give this property a fantastic score, but there was just too many little things that could be fixed and hadn't been. The bed was really comfortable and the sheets were soft and cosy. The room had everything that I needed. The decor is dated, but that's not a criticism. Continental breakfast, self serve, was ample. The shared kitchen was a bit crowded on my first morning because there was a group of people staying at the B and B who had made themselves very comfortable. That's not the fault of the owners and is just an observation. However, just a few small things lowered the overall score for me. The most challenging was that the water in the shower would go from just right to really hot and then really cold so i had to time my washing carefully. There was mould in the grout at eye level in the shower. The cold tap indicator was missing and these are so cheap to buy. The area outside the accommodation definitely needed a tidy up and the garden needed weeding. Its hard to keep on top of this during winter, but at least the bean bag loungers could have been packed away.

The bedsheet not clean, feel itchy the whole night. Central air cond. so tempure in open area is cold but inside room is hot.

Sadly the room we were in (late arrival) was smelly. There was a wet smell that you could almost taste and feel in the back of your throat. It felt really unhealthy. It was noticeable to other guests as they approached the room. We were aware the place was booked out so limited choice which was ours to stay. Spoke to the Manager the following morning and she also agreed. Said she would get onto asap which is great. Good for the next people staying but unpleasant for us that evening. Otherwise I would highly recommend.

The accommodation is 5 minutes walk from a lovely quiet beach and 15 /20 walk from the Busselton Jetty. There are a variety of places for eating out in the locale ( 10 minutes walk). The room allocated was a good size, very clean and comfortable with air con. The accommodation provided everything for a continental breakfast which was very good. There was a lovely communal lounge area which was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone visiting Busselton. First class. Thank you.

Very clean property, easy access and very quiet, breakfast was easy self serve. Bed was good, shower good and will be back

The Master Suite was perfect for us. Once we got used to sharing the kitchen and dining/lounge area it worked really well. The beautiful breakfast supplies were great and very much appreciated. The home was amazingly clean and very comfortable and we would certainly recommend it to our fiends!

It was really nicely furnished, had everything you needed, not too far to walk to beach, eating out, I thought it would be noosy being on Bussell Hwy but the house is at the back so it was very quiet.

A great size property, which was clean and very comfortable. Continental breakfast included. We had the main building to ourselves the second night. The road noise is just discernible in the morning but otherwise very quiet. Can highly recommend

Very convenient location and great to be able to book for only one night of a weekend, master bedroom bed was VERY soft and may not suit everyone’s liking. We shared with other guests who were very surprised that they had to share. Make sure you read the description closely before booking😀

Excellent place to stay. The only small negative was that the instructions were a little unclear in that it said the key was to open the front door of the property and the bedroom. However the key did not open the front door and entry was through the unlocked rear sliding door. Otherwise a great stay.

All facilities excellent - only one complaint - check in

Booking was the worst we have ever experienced no information about booking in I had to ring them 3 times just to get the information for the lockbox number. Booking in is advertised as 2:30pm only to be told that it’s 3:00pm. Oven didn’t work smoke alarm would go off when the toaster was used. We had booked for a week. Apart from the above issues the place was extremely busy and very good close to all the Margaret River has to offer. If they could get there booking in worked out we would have rated it excellent.

Loved it but didn't receive the check in details. I don't blame anyone. They are probably lost in the internet world. My one suggestion would be to have a sensor light near the lock boxes as we couldn't see them. I know I have a torch on my phone but people like my parents wouldn't have this ability. Again just a suggestion.

Beautiful, modern, spacious, clean, comfortable and functional property. Extremely good value. Reverse cycle stopped working early in the evening and called helpline. Service wasn’t familiar with property unfortunately. All that was needed was to flick the switch in meter box but we didn’t know where it was. An easy fix for the future. Would definitely stay again. Xxx

Always stay here. It is a unique place to stay. Home from and you get to meet very nice people also staying here. The standard of serves and care are always maintained. Will continue to stay everytime I am in Bussleton

Bad check in. Tried calling the call centre but had a,really bad bad experience with call centre.

Baudins was a great location for sight seeing around the Busselton and Margaret river area. It was clean and quiet. Thanks for a great weekend away.

On extremely busy road and very dangerous in and out of drive. Air conditioner in our room not really working and the weather was very hot ie 40 deg. so we call 3 times on arrival and no one showed but next day brother of the owner arrived. The shower was making making a very loud noise and the AC chap called the plumber.

Fantastic b &B would highly recommend it great breakfast room and family living . A bit out of town for restaurants but if you have a car it’s fine

Beautiful property, everything has been thought of and everything provided to make your stay comfortable and easy. Close to both the town and the beach. We will be back again!

Property was misrepresented in advertising This property was a share facility. Not mentioned before booking. Communal kitchen,dining and lounge areas. Self contained sleeping quarters however. It also implied in its advertising that it was on the beach. Long way from it. Also on Main Highway.

Baudins is a spacious nice place in a convenient location. We had the master room and shared the kitchen/dining/tv room with 3 people in the second apartment which has 3 bedrooms. For us it felt impersonal and uncomfortable.The other party, a very friendly Chinese group, took over the kitchen space and watched Chinese tv in the main sitting room. I am sure they would have made space for us to also use the kitchen, but we decided to retreat to our bedroom. We feel this place is great to rent if you are with several family/friends and share the whole house, but not for couples. It is NOT a B&B, it provides a variety of breakfast items to help yourself.

We were tired from travelling and needed somewhere to stay. We stayed the first night in the Master house at the front of the block. We then decided to stay another night and were in a room in the second house. the whole place is very clean quiet the rooms big and the serve yourself breakfast very good.
