Very satisfied with the stay, family had a lot of fun especially in the pool. Staff was good, location was excellent. Would definitely recommend for family stay.

We booked last minute as an impromptu trip and were very well accommodated from start to finish, staff were all amazing and the entertainment for our 2 nights was wonderful, our room was very clean and the facilities were good, we booked a swimming spot and the pool though not very big was good and the water was warm, we even had a good win on the bingo so great all round, if you’re looking for a place to stay in Paignton I can’t recommend enough, will definitely be back

Staff were great. Room service was good. Pool was ok although could do with updating and a good clean around the pool area. The room doors are easily opened by a child and even when locked you juat pull handle down and it unlocks, needs better security with a separate lock. The shower was spluttering out water from the shower head and the pressure is very low. The quilt was off white colour and could do with replacing. No net curtains in our room although other had them and people in another room could see straight into oir room. The lift is very small although it was working. Only issue is we were right next to it and the noise is ridiculous, people were up and down in it till gone 3am and i got little sleep. I would stay again for short stays but request not to be near the lift. I didn't use the other facilities such as function room/bar or the restaurant but it looks nice in them rooms.

This hotel is aimed at people over 65. As a family in our late 40s with a teenager we were the youngest there. The room is very dated with peeling wallpaper and rotting skirting boards and some sign of black mould. It’s not clean and the shower plug was slow draining, the shower head holder was broken and water pressure awful. The room was so hot (outside was high 20s) that I honestly felt someone had the heating on, even with our windows open, the rest of the hotel felt cool but our room was like a sauna. We did ask if there were any fans, which there wasn’t. There is limited parking and we couldn’t use the hotel car park. My booking said beach view, which it wasn’t. Breakfast was mayhem with pensioners not being able to work toasters and food running out . At the 9am slot they’d already run out of bacon for the day . The ceiling tiles in the swimming pool room were missing lots, changing facilities poor, dirty plaster left on side of pool. Entertainment so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think in the bedroom, poor internet, tv didn’t work as bad signal. some parts of the communal area had carpet missing and Carpet lumpy . Excellent hotel really great atmosphere and when the lift broke they sorted out a different hotel so grandad could continue to enjoy his holiday excellent from them and one of the staff who worked behind the bar was a pleasure And so helpful, highly recommend

Another perfect stay at The Queens Hotel ,friendly staff,wonderful heated indoor pool,lovely outside terrace area,evening entertainment,only a few minutes from the town and seafront .single room had everything needed ,bathroom small but perfectly usable .

A very well located hotel to the beach and train station. A nice little clean swimming pool with great availability. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The evening entertainment was fun. All in all, especially considering the relative price for the location, there's a lot going on for what appears a modest hotel.

Stayed at the Queens hotel on Friday in preparation for a competition in Torquay. I booked a family room which was great value for money and included use of the pool. The swimming pool was the main reason for booking here and it’s a bit of a gem. We had the pool to ourselves for an hour. Friendly staff, reasonable sized bar and restaurant within walking distance of the main strip in Paignton.

Lovely hotel, nice sized room, nice sized bar with lounge area and pool table, central location close to town centre, harbour and pier, lovely indoor pool, staff really friendly and helpful, evening entertainment as well, really good value for money, i will book again at some point in the near future but will make sure im not staying right next to the lift as its noisy up until 12am and again from about 6am the following morning.

Breakfast is very restricted only to few options...from menu you must choose...order.....you cannot go yourself like a normal hotel when you pay for breakfast included, is fresh painted but you can see in the bathroom stain of mold on the sealing, mattress is old instead have a great staff, free parking ( first come-last come....you must search around 😅🙄 the property), pool ( maximum 10 person's aloud-1h ... pre booked ) , location is close to the beach, pub's, restaurants...is ok . I was but i will search another place next time . 10/10 for staff 👍. I give this review because I'm very disappointed regarding breakfast options 1/10 and mattress.

The hotel's decor is in need of refurbishment, as it appears to be outdated and in need of modernization. The room We stayed in, room 322, was quite small for two people, but the beds were comfortable. However, the rest of the furniture was outdated and should be replaced. The bathroom was also very small, especially the shower, and it could have been cleaner, as there was mold and corrosion present. The breakfast provided was of poor quality and quantity, with a very basic selection of items and a small portion size. The coffee was also not of good quality. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in terms of decor, cleanliness, and the quality of its amenities

I found the staff lovely but the cleanliness of rooms were poor ground in dust all over grooves of paintwork thick dust stains of coffee all over inside of door pool area floor was green algae under mats showers very dirty in between tiles. The property really does need a good clean that is the only thing that let it down

I had the warmest of receptions when I checked in and the lounge was full of people having fun with a traditional game of bingo. The well-stocked bar was open and the place exemplified pride everywhere: clean, tidy and guest-centred! The room was wonderful, although the view was nothing spectacular, but exceptionallly clean and tidy and well provisioned. All was going very well until I chose to go to sleep. Alas, the couple in the adjacent room launched into a two-hour copulation session where there was no sound-proofing whatsoever. For the next two hours, I was subjected to animalistic noises and the metronomic beating of their bed on my ajoining wall. Not the fault of the hotel, but rather selfish behaviour from other guests when the walls are paper-thin.

Another great stay at the Queen's. The room was spotless cleaned every day. You can't ask for better staff always friendly and helpful always have smiles on there face's. The hotel is in a great location you come out of the front door turn left and left again and you are 2 minutes from the beach. Turn right and you are in the middle of the town in 3 minutes. The train station and bus station are only 5 minutes walk. I've stayed at the Queen's many times and they have always made me feel welcome. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Paignton

It was very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and bedding were excellent. Good location with a flat walk to seafront, town and transport links. Good breakfast. Lovely staff.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a singer that evening and despite being on the 3rd floor the niose kept us awake until very late. The room was clean although it had a very strange smell, like stale cigarette smoke. The bed was comfy though. Only a small bath with built in seat, so we werent able to lie down and have a proper soak which was disappointing after a 4 our journey, and the bathroom could do with a deep clean as the glass shelf was very dirty with soap or bubble bath residue, and it was a bit grubby. Overall quite adequate for our one night stay.

Offered room at front of hotel, very noisy with traffic. Moved to a room over the kitchens, even noisier. Someone throwing chips down for seagulls, after midnight. Delivery vans arriving before 6.00 am right outside my room. Talking and unloading. Cooked breakfast was very poor, breakfast not very warm, cold beans, burnt toast and very small helpings. Won't be staying again!!

Staff were great. Room service was good. Pool was ok although could do with updating and a good clean around the pool area. The room doors are easily opened by a child and even when locked you juat pull handle down and it unlocks, needs better security with a separate lock. The shower was spluttering out water from the shower head and the pressure is very low. The quilt was off white colour and could do with replacing. No net curtains in our room although other had them and people in another room could see straight into oir room. The lift is very small although it was working. Only issue is we were right next to it and the noise is ridiculous, people were up and down in it till gone 3am and i got little sleep. I would stay again for short stays but request not to be near the lift. I didn't use the other facilities such as function room/bar or the restaurant but it looks nice in them rooms.

This hotel is aimed at people over 65. As a family in our late 40s with a teenager we were the youngest there. The room is very dated with peeling wallpaper and rotting skirting boards and some sign of black mould. It’s not clean and the shower plug was slow draining, the shower head holder was broken and water pressure awful. The room was so hot (outside was high 20s) that I honestly felt someone had the heating on, even with our windows open, the rest of the hotel felt cool but our room was like a sauna. We did ask if there were any fans, which there wasn’t. There is limited parking and we couldn’t use the hotel car park. My booking said beach view, which it wasn’t. Breakfast was mayhem with pensioners not being able to work toasters and food running out . At the 9am slot they’d already run out of bacon for the day . The ceiling tiles in the swimming pool room were missing lots, changing facilities poor, dirty plaster left on side of pool. Entertainment so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think in the bedroom, poor internet, tv didn’t work as bad signal. some parts of the communal area had carpet missing and Carpet lumpy . Only good thing was the location.

The hotel's decor is in need of refurbishment, as it appears to be outdated and in need of modernization. The room We stayed in, room 322, was quite small for two people, but the beds were comfortable. However, the rest of the furniture was outdated and should be replaced. The bathroom was also very small, especially the shower, and it could have been cleaner, as there was mold and corrosion present. The breakfast provided was of poor quality and quantity, with a very basic selection of items and a small portion size. The coffee was also not of good quality. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvements in terms of decor, cleanliness, and the quality of its amenities

I had the warmest of receptions when I checked in and the lounge was full of people having fun with a traditional game of bingo. The well-stocked bar was open and the place exemplified pride everywhere: clean, tidy and guest-centred! The room was wonderful, although the view was nothing spectacular, but exceptionallly clean and tidy and well provisioned. All was going very well until I chose to go to sleep. Alas, the couple in the adjacent room launched into a two-hour copulation session where there was no sound-proofing whatsoever. For the next two hours, I was subjected to animalistic noises and the metronomic beating of their bed on my ajoining wall. Not the fault of the hotel, but rather selfish behaviour from other guests when the walls are paper-thin.

Nice hotel lovely staff only gripe is the noise no chance of sleep the rooms dont block any noise from the landings room next door or above you can hear everything they do and it dont help when your neighbour seems tonwant to do some Diy at1am then fancies a shower at 2am

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was a singer that evening and despite being on the 3rd floor the niose kept us awake until very late. The room was clean although it had a very strange smell, like stale cigarette smoke. The bed was comfy though. Only a small bath with built in seat, so we werent able to lie down and have a proper soak which was disappointing after a 4 our journey, and the bathroom could do with a deep clean as the glass shelf was very dirty with soap or bubble bath residue, and it was a bit grubby. Overall quite adequate for our one night stay.

We booked this last minute for a bargain price. Overall our stay was excellent for what we paid. We had a lovely welcome, our room, if a little date, was clean and tidy. The beds extremely comfortable. The swimming pool was a welcome bonus and was very warm! Our 4 course evening meal was excellent value and we slept well. We opted for breakfast at 8:30 and this was where the only issue occurred. We was shown to our table at 8:35 but then wasn't attended to, or had our order taken until 9:15. The 4 waiting staff worked tirelessly and apologised for the delay (they needed to get a coach load of guests out) the breakfast was good quality for the cost. Overall a very good stay, we'll definitely come back.

Roads were quite tight, not much parking. However, Reception Staff were very helpful and found a park space on the hotel grounds. The area was very clean and tidy.

Excellent hotel really great atmosphere and when the lift broke they sorted out a different hotel so grandad could continue to enjoy his holiday excellent from them and one of the staff who worked behind the bar was a pleasure And so helpful, highly recommend

From the moment I arrived I was greeted very warmly with a very helpful and happy young lady, she was very organized and had me checked-in in no time at all, she was very helpful and explained all the amenities available to myself , my room was nicely decorated and clean, the bed was comfy and tea/coffee available in the room, all the staff were very polite , happy and helpful during my stay, would recommend the Queens to anyone, well done to all the staff and thankyou

Booked a double room, upgraded on the 4th floor family room?.Too noisy, allocated next to a lift shaft which generated noise late evening and early morning. Reception not very helpful at check-in, issue with deposit on booking with Expedia.

Not value money we paid £228 for 2 nights to then be told that did not include breakfast and we had to pay £10 each for breakfast, meal portions on the small side, not a great selection on the food menu. The bar had hardly any of the drinks that was listed on the bar menu. Some of the staff was welcoming where so of the staff serving food was quite rude. The rooms are very dated and basic and some dirt found.

A great place to stay when you are in Devon. A very clean and welcoming place. A brilliant location for anyone to stay in Paignton only 2 minutes walk to the sea front and a 3 minute walk to the town centre all on the flat. The staff are friendly and very helpful the breakfast is very good. The room is clean and comfortable. And made up every day.

Freindly staff, great family room, amazing pool. Hotel a few minutes walk to Paignton with plenty of shops, restaurants, beach, amusement arcades, cinema and in summer holidays circus and fair by the beach area.

Lovely hotel, nice sized room, nice sized bar with lounge area and pool table, central location close to town centre, harbour and pier, lovely indoor pool, staff really friendly and helpful, evening entertainment as well, really good value for money, i will book again at some point in the near future but will make sure im not staying right next to the lift as its noisy up until 12am and again from about 6am the following morning.

Offered room at front of hotel, very noisy with traffic. Moved to a room over the kitchens, even noisier. Someone throwing chips down for seagulls, after midnight. Delivery vans arriving before 6.00 am right outside my room. Talking and unloading. Cooked breakfast was very poor, breakfast not very warm, cold beans, burnt toast and very small helpings. Won't be staying again!!

We had a brilliant stay at The Queens hotel and would recommend. The staff were excellent. We enjoyed the swimming pool (this is restricted numbers and needs to be prebooked), we had the set dinner which we really enjoyed and also enjoyed the pool table in the lounge area. There was entertainment on in the evening and we enjoyed the background music.

Full English breakfast was plentiful and well cooked but smoked haddock portion was quite small. Staff served the food speedily and were helpful and friendly. My single room was clean and comfortable but VERY small and the toilet had a poor flush. It was cleaned each day. Entertainment was good and varied if somewhat loud and could be heard in the bedroom. Reception staff were also courteous and helpful.

Food portions very poor for the prices charged.if I’m paying that price I would not expect the fish to be like one I’ve just bought from Iceland. The chocolate pudding was absolutely tasteless, the breakfast was decent if you have the appetite of a 10 year old.our stay overall was enjoyable and would possibly stay again but unless the food was improved I would not be paying extra for meals.All of the staff were friendly and helpful so it’s a shame that the food lets the review down.

The room was clean, if quite small for 3 people and the shower pressure was low. The main breakfast was limited: 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon, 1 small egg, 4 small mushrooms and half a partly cooked tomato. Juice, tea/coffee and toast were also provided.

Breakfast is very restricted only to few options...from menu you must choose...order.....you cannot go yourself like a normal hotel when you pay for breakfast included, is fresh painted but you can see in the bathroom stain of mold on the sealing, mattress is old instead have a great staff, free parking ( first come-last come....you must search around 😅🙄 the property), pool ( maximum 10 person's aloud-1h ... pre booked ) , location is close to the beach, pub's, restaurants...is ok . I was but i will search another place next time . 10/10 for staff 👍. I give this review because I'm very disappointed regarding breakfast options 1/10 and mattress.

Hotel room was very dirty. Our cot for our baby was disgusting, covered in orange stains, hadn’t seen a wash before, felt bad letting our child sleep in it. Swimming pool was full of hair (kept getting it stuck in our fingers), murky water, and there was a dirty dressing in the area we had to swim in. Breakfast wasn’t good at all. Staff were lovely, one saving grace. Hate to leave bad reviews but all of the above was accurate with our stay.
Hotel room was very dirty. Our cot for our baby was disgusting, covered in orange stains, hadn’t seen a wash before, felt bad letting our child sleep in it. Swimming pool was full of hair (kept getting it stuck in our fingers), murky water, and there was a dirty dressing in the area we had to swim in. Breakfast wasn’t good at all. Staff were lovely, one saving grace. Hate to leave bad reviews but all of the above was accurate with our stay.

My wife and I took one of our Grandsons to the queens hotel for a week, The staff were very friendly, But our bedroom was on the first floor right above the entertainment which was every night till late, So it wasn't the best if you wanted an early night, But too top it all we had a constant flow of cigarette smoke coming in from the guests outside which was very annoying, We're not going back anytime soon.

Staff friendly on arrival. Our room was on the top floor, when we walked in it was like a sauna. Basic room was ok for two nights. But it was right by the lift so noisy. Couldn’t sleep all night. Eventually when the lift went quiet about 1.00 in the morning, seagull started screeching. So closed windows, still hot in the room. Then the lift started again at about 6.15. Asked if we could swap rooms, but there was no spare. She gave us a fan for a room. Next night was a little better. Lift noise stopped at midnight. Still very hot. Woken up at 5.45 with delivery vehicles outside. Then the lift starts again. Checked out at 9.30 very tired for our 4 hour trip home.

Very comfortable overnight stay. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating when we needed to check-out early before a pre-paid breakfast,when a packed lunch was provided for each of us in place. Very much appreciated.
