Pros: Well-maintained, clean, very nice/big gym, next door to Walmart so you can just walk over, has shuttle to the airport every 30 mins, restaurant on premises open late, good breakfast. Cons: limited options to eat other than at the hotel if you don't hire a taxi, small outdoor pool. Overall: an excellent place to stay if you want to stay near the airport.

There was very helpful 24/7 reception who all spoke English. Keycard access to floors. Small shop on site for essential purchases.Onsite restaurant with typical local menu and tv’s with sport on. Clean, comfy king bed. Fridge, Safe and tv. Had laundry, gym and pool. Large shower with body wash, shampoo and conditioner available. Had there own shuttle form the airport, which was nearby. Short walk to Walmart and Vortex Adventure shops. Taxi outside.

Staff were friendly, room was comfortable, and there is a convenient free airport shuttle. A few restaurants are available within walking distance. We were pleased to see an on site laundry facility but the front desk said it wasn’t working. There’s a nice gym but there was no spray bottle for wiping down equipment.

Very happy with this hotel. Better than others we’ve used in the area. Updated, clean, nice amenities in the lobby. Didn’t use the restaurant or bar but looked really nice. Used airport shuttle. On time and quick to the airport. We stay near the airport when we have an early flight out of San Jose.

Stayed at this hotel because we had an early flight out next morning. Checked, and this Courtyard is the closest hotel to SJO. 4am shuttle was early and ready to go. So transport to airport was a breeze. Staff were super friendly. Clean and well managed. Very nice room for the price. We were ready to relax and enjoyed the pool on 2nd floor. Will definitely stay there again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was waiting for a shuttle that was running late and they contacted the company on my behalf to make sure they were still picking me up. I would definitely recommend staying here when you visit Costa Rica.

Bug shells in my towel and I used it. Blood on face cloth. Food service staff rude and slow. Didn’t talk to us and gave me whatever for food not what I wanted . Wait a long time for a drink. My lugguge was lost and they had no comfort kids. Told me my breakfast was not included when it was. Pool area terrible noise around area. No cream powder in room.

There was mold all over the bathroom tile and the shower curtain was installed too high so we had an flood in the bathroom trying to take a shower (soaked through 3 towels) There was almost no light in the room to read by. I could sit at the desk to read but not in bed. The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work and the only mirror was in the bathroom. I had to set up my iPad as a backwards camera just to dry my hair. The restaurant would not serve eggs after 10am and while the waitstaff bent over backwards to try to come up with something for us to eat the meal of cheese quesadillas, fruit bowl and coffee cost $60. A bit expensive for a quick breakfast.

The hotel is nice, new, and clean but they played electronic music on the pool deck until after 12:30 am. And the pool was closed. I asked them to turn it off at 9 and they ignored my request. Seeing that I had to get up for early flight I didn’t sleep a wink. Too bad.

A hotel is very close to the airport and has a shuttle that runs with regularity. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The huge bummer for us is that the air conditioning in our room did not work. This cost us an extra 40 minutes of trying to figure it out which drastically cut into the four hours of sleep we were hoping to get. They ended up bringing in room fans for us. The manager was a very apologetic and willing to give us a significant discount on our room. However, because we booked through a third-party, it is much more difficult.

I landed on a late delayed flight. I was initially concerned as the website said that checkin to the hotel closed at midnight but a quick email and an equally quick response got rid of my fears. My room was lovely and exceeded my expectations. Despite the proximity to the airport it wast noisy. I'd definitely stay again.

Courtyard is a short ride from SJO which is pretty much why most people will stay. We had a late night arrival into the airport and needed somewhere to stay before picking up a hire car and heading off. We stayed twice, start and end of the trip. Both rooms were identical, clean and comfortable. Free transfer between airport and hotel is excellent and makes this a really easy and convenient stay; I think it began at 04:00am and finished 12:30am. We used it twice and it was on time and a real bonus. Staying on the motorway side of the hotel there is quite a lot of road noise, even from high floors so I’d recommend ear plugs. Breakfast was adequate, if expensive. Staff were friendly and quickly helped deal with an issue we had with no problem at all.

Front desk was helpful and professional. We were 3 families traveling with 16 people. The airport shuttle was full, and they were so kind and accommodating that they had the driver do an extra airport run just for us.

The staff is amazing!!! Truly the best service weve ever had atba hotel and we travel A LOT! Room was spacious! Dayana, Michelle, Stefanie and so many others were the best. Well located for SJO airport with free shuttle bus every 30 minutes. Staff were polite and helpful. Check-in process was very efficient. Rooms are clean and spacious with good air conditioning.

We were over billed by hundreds of dollars. I had booked 2 rooms thru Hotels.com. When I arrived they told me I didn't have a second booking. I had said it was under Ervin. The receptionist said she could not find it so we paid for another room only to find out the booking was there and we were charged for a no show. Hotels .com has asked for a refund but I have heard nothing. Please issue the refund and ask your receptionists to take greater care in their searches. Thank you. Ann Schoenthaler- Ervin

We arrived late and tired. The receptionist was great and efficient. The most important thing I want to say is I left my earbuds attached to the charger and was in a rush to check out so missed grabbing them. I didn't realize it until several days later. I contacted Hotels.com and they contacted the hotel and they had them! I told them when I would be returning and the hotel had them ready for me! I was grateful and amazed to get them back!

Super clean and quiet. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant, Centro, and it was REALLY good. We were very happily surprised. The morning breakfast was also super delicious and started early at 530am. Super close to airport. Highly recommend!

The Marriott was great. Easy place to stay the night by the airport before heading out to more exotic adventures or easing back into civilization. My only issue was that it was difficult to reach the front desk to let them know that I was arriving late and to also find out when the last shuttle leaves from the airport (12:30am). I just kept calling back and eventually someone answered. Wish there was an easier way to let them know upon booking through Hotels.com

Have stayed at this hotel before our early morning flights. Check in was a breeze. Room was ready early and we were able to check in early. Room and bathroom were very clean. No complaints. Front desk staff and bar staff are wonderful. Will definitely stay here again.
