Great staff . Clean . Good location. Gym kinda depressing rusted treadmills , very basic n depressing atmosphere for it. Room was large . Burned out light bulbs over bed . Couch great condition but tables n carpet kinda worn n gross

We specifically picked a hotel that had a hot tub. There were several other hotels in the area that were much cheaper, but we really wanted the hot tub due to my wife's back problems. We get there and it is not working and the entire pool area was closed. Then at breakfast they had waffles but no syrup. I mean some one could have gone down the street to Hy-Vee or Walmart and got something to help make due. Lastly we were trying to check out and we could hear employees on speaker phone chatting with someone while we waited to be helped. We said hello a few times but it was 5 minutes before anyone actually came out from the back room.

Would not have booked if I knew the pool/hot tub was closed. Will know not to in the future. Breakfast was average. Parking lot was not cleared of snow very well.

Staff was all very friendly and helpful, even while traveling with my service dog who is still in training. Great rooms and the pool looked nice, although I didn’t use it (the property was very accesible including the pool!)

Parking lot was hard to maneuver through as it was barely wide enough for work vehicles- and then 2 giant tour buses parked sideways taking up 1/4 of the lot. I have celiac disease and finding safe to eat takeout late at night after a long day at work is impossible. I was going to need to stay 3 nights, so being able to cook my own food was essential. I booked this hotel based on the amenities list showing the room I chose had an oven. It’s specifically listed as “oven”. Went to the grocery store and got several of my $14 gluten free pizzas to live off of during my stay- and was very disappointed to get into my room and see absolutely no oven. I asked the staff if there would at least be gluten free options for breakfast and was assured that there were plenty of options, even gluten free muffins. That was also very wrong. Breakfast every day was some form of sandwich- not gluten free muffins and the make-your-own waffles. My only safe option every day was a banana or cup of yogurt. The shower head and tub spigot were so covered in hard water that I barely had enough water pressure to wash my hair- which was unfortunate considering I work in construction and could really use a good shower every day. Housekeeping came in one time during my 4 day, 3 nights stay - did nothing in the room as far as towels or making the bed, I only knew they had come in bc they had pressed a little design in the toilet paper roll. Can with 100% certainty say I will never stay here again.

Stayed here for the pool and hot tub for the kids but was upsetting to find out the hot tub was down. Room could have been cleaner but over all not bad.

stayed for a football game. the room we were in looked like it had not been used or cleaned in awhile. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the pool and firepit are was very nice. the chairs by the firepit need to be replaced. I would definitely stay here again with all said.

The webiste advertises a whirlpool, the onky hotel in the area with one So i booked it. On arrival i was notified there was not one, i asked specifically and had booked soley on this requirement. We were told about the pool. We were surprised to find a piece of plywood covering to non working whirlpool and a very well heated pool area. We dipped into the pool instead and holy crap it was cold. Unheated completely.

Overall it was a great experience, had baseball players staying so lots of running up and down the hallway. My room was great, front desk helpful but a bit lacking on the morning breakfast and the equipment in the weight room could be updated. A 4 out of 5.

Great stay overall. Every single staff member I interacted with was extremely pleasant and professional, from the front desk all the way to housekeeping. Even when I was checking out at 5AM, the person at the front desk was very friendly. The room was clean, modest, and suited my needs; I was thrilled to find a room with a full kitchen for an affordable price. The only issues were that it was right next to the ice maker/elevators and that the air conditioner rattled sometimes. So it was a bit noisy, but not enough for me to request a different room since my stay was relatively short. Housekeeping also never came, but again, I suspect that may have been due to the length of my stay. I didn't really need them anyway, and I'm sure they would have come if I'd asked. The front desk was super responsive to my needs and sent someone up almost immediately when I asked for some extra dish detergent. My one major complaint would be the exercise room. It was clearly run down in need of a revamp. The equipment was old and starting to rust, there were no towels, and the equipment wipes were dry. Worst of all, there was no air conditioning, which is not only uncomfortable but a potential health hazard. In spite of the above, I'd certainly find a nearby gym next time and return again for the convenient location, reasonable pricing, clean room, and especially the absolutely wonderful staff. I didn't get all their names, but I would like to specifically call out Max at the front desk.

We had two rooms. One room smelled lime poop when we opened the door. They gave us a different room. My room had a turd floating and had a very dirty toilet. Everything else seemed okay so, we flushed and didn’t complain. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good.

Nice place, usually, spent many nights there. This time my room was dirty. Handprints on doors, mold in shower, stains in toilet, and on shower curtain, saggy bed, TV didn't work properly, heater did not work.

Dirty hallway. Torn threshold to room. Broken mirror in bathroom. Room not on requested floor. After complaining a room was located.

We had a very old room bugs and the lights. Dirty floor doors that were scraped up from handles.

Great room and staff. The only issue was how old and stained the bathtub was. It was fine to use but not ideal. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Asian lady beetles all around. When informed they gave another room and that had the same beetles just at a smaller count. Needs work on cleanliness overall and in general needs work on making the room ready for a guest.

I enjoy staying here and believe that things happen. But in April the refrigerator was not working. This stay the TV was not working.

Friendly staff, good selection for breakfast, quiet rooms and inside the property. The train going by all night was annoying. I thought it was a little pricey for what you get

Unfortunately the property is run down, and the walls very thin. Had to listen to some guy snoring in the next room all night.

We love the kitchenette for meal flexibility and the extra hangout space! Our go-to hotel.

The room was good size. Full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, 2 burner stove. We did not need that for our stay but it was nice. However, the couch,table chairs felt like we should have been only 4ft tall humans. The bed, was by far the worst weve ever experienced. So there was zero comfort.

Very happy with our stay!! The bed was comfortable and the room itself was very spacious! Definitely, would recommend this hotel!

It was a perfect spot for us…spacious room, clean and comfortable, great location with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay there again. Great value for the money… oh, and a great breakfast offered !

We arrived during an extreme cold spell and especially appreciated the genuine hospitality offered by all staff that we encountered during our stay. Our room was very comfortable and ideally suited to our needs. The only "complaint" we had was the noise of the HVAC unit, which of course ran more than usual because of the cold.

I could not track the reservation nor did anyone have any record of my reservation when I called. I only got prior notice at noon on the day of my trip.

Excellent customer service! We told the lady at front desk that the tv remote did not work and she sent maintenance in to fix it right away and not long after we discovered are heat in room was not working and she switched us to a bigger and better room. The only thing I wish that could have been better was that the heater was not so loud in room and wish the bed could have been more comfortable other than that Excellent service! I’m sorry I didn’t remember the check in lady name but she was OUTSTANDING!

Overall we were grateful to have a place to sleep. We rolled in late and our check-in took 35 minutes. Maybe 45 minutes. Crazy. If we end up in coralville again, we will stay elsewhere other than the residence inn.

Residence Inn worked well for my short stay. There was a problem between the hotel and Expedia at check-in which took half an hour & 3 phone calls to resolve. Megan Beckett was patient and professional in working through the problem. First morning, there was no breakfast due to appliance problems we were told. It was repaired & breakfast was available and had good food during the rest of my stay. Room was clean and quiet. Recommended.

After a very long hot ride on the Ragbrai, we arrived eager to check into our rooms. However, they had overbooked and our confirmed rooms (booked in January) were no longer available. The staff was excellent and they were able to get rooms for us at Hampton Inn, but it took two hours to do so.

We use Expedia so that after a long day of driving checking is is simple. Not so here . The person at the front desk had no idea how to check us into the room. We were the only person he was helping and it took more than 35 minutes. The entire timing was calling other people asking them to help him because he didn’t know how to do it . I actually felt bad for him because he could see he was visibly stressed. He was put in a position that he was not properly trained for , finally someone showed up and checked us in with a frustrated additude . The room was fine but the door lock would not lock unless fumble with. Unsafe! Then in the morning there was no water I called down to reception to find out what was going on and I said something was leaking. OK I said I will wait but 30 minutes later then 40 minutes later then 50 minutes later still no water. What we needed to do was purchase bottled water to brush our teeth and wash our face before trying to get back on the road, no apologies were. made .

Great rooms and friendly, efficient staff. They have a really good breakfast too. It was a good value. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location

My stay at the hotel was great. Easy to check in and easy to check out as well. And I was surprised by the size of the room based on the cost. It was a little remote from the center of town BUT it was very close to I-80. When I came downstairs for breakfast the lobby and eating area was VERY hot. Ridiculously hot. It wasn't very cold outside so I don't know why the thermostat was turned up so high. It was a waste of heat and energy.

We were in town for a family member in Iowa City Hospital. The hotel is close to the hospital and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. The room was spacious and had the full kitchen which was nice for an extended stay. Staff was helpful and prompt whenever we needed something. Only downside is there are no food options in the hotel itself.

Wifi unsecured, pool/hot tub were out of order, continental breakfast was cold, milk in carton was spoiled. Definitely not a good place to stay 😕

After traveling 10 hrs booked hotel reservation ahead of time before arriving, when I arrived computers were down, no manager on site, waited 10 minutes for manager to come back to hotel, another gentleman also ready to check in., When manager came back she took other gentleman he received a room. As I checked in I was told no room available., waited another 20 minutes for them to find a room., Following morning there was no breakfast, gentleman at desk thought maybe around 8 it would be ready. Overpriced services for accommodations given, make when you book a hotel READ ALL REVIEWS!!
