Buen lugar, la piscina estaba muy sucia ya que la llenan con manguera y no tiene filtro para limpiarse

We had a great stay at hotel rockaway. Our room was clean with easy access to the pool. The complimentary breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating. Parking was convenient.

Nice place. Clean gym had broken machines rooster on the south side. Room 308 started at 0400 and wouldn’t stop

The service was excellent, team takes care of you the minute you walk in. The pools are clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms have good AC going.

Clean and cozy hotel. "Bar" area could be better, however.

The property in close by to the beach. It’s walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff was always friendly and helpful. It has two pools, restaurant and bar. We had breakfast there food was good. Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We will be coming back.

Just across the street from Playa Zicatela. The suite was nice and spacious. The pool area is beautiful. We went later in the evening and the pool did not look clean but in the morning they were cleaning it and it looked better. The breakfast included was quite good, good coffee

Everything was clean and great customer service

It was a terrible experience, our room was dirty hair and stains in the bed, refrigerator didn’t work and to make it worst the AC wasn’t working temperature was 90 degrees. I will never comeback there and Wii not recommend to anyone.

Lo que no me gustó es que el cuarto que me tocó tenía animalitos muertos en el foco, de ahí en fuera todo está bien

The entire hotel was spotless, the staff were wonderful, and the included breakfast was very good. The only problem we had was that music from nearby places blared until early morning on two of the nights we were there. The AC and fan masked most, but not all of the noise.

The Rockaway is a great deal. Very clean, comfortable beds, great air conditioning, delicious breakfast with lots of options, two pools, right on the beach, and all for a very affordable price! We happened to be in town during the Zicatela Surf Competition and it was happening directly in front of the hotel. We would definitely come back!

Todo excelente, lo único que tienen que mejorar es el mal olor del drenaje en algunos cuartos, me he quedado media docena de veces en diferentes habitaciones y tiende a salir un mal olor del baño

Un hotel con personal muy amable, las instalaciones tienen pequeños detalles pero nada que perturbe la estancia, en la limpieza mejorar un poco todas las almohadas de la habitación olían a humedad pero en cuanto informamos nos hicieron el cambio, sin duda la amabilidad del personal es lo mejor.

El hotel ha bajado mucho la calidad las toallas de playa están ya muy viejas la habitación. Que me tocó la 212 estaba muy deteriorada hacen tarde el aseo .. antes lo hacían a las 10 el menú es el mismo desde hace 4 años

The hotel staff were great. The bed was fantastic but the room seemed stark and somewhat barren. The television was snowy the entire time. Thursday night the noise from across the street kept us awake until 4:30 am, even though our room was at the back of the hotel. Can't recommend a weekend stay.

Leider hat es uns im Hotel Rockaway nicht gefallen. Preis/Leistung stehen unserer Meinung nach nicht im Verhältnis. Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer im Erdgeschoss in der Low-Season (Februar 2024). In den Zimmern hört man quasi alles vom Innenhof bzw. dem Poolbereich und der Straße, da die Zimmer einfach verglast sind. Einige Gäste beachten ihre Musikboxen mit zum Pool und übertönten sich gegenseitig. Mitten im Zimmer steht ein Kühlschrank, der unregelmäßig mit kleinen Wasserflaschen gefüllt wurde. Das Bad befindet sich direkt neben dem Bett. Die Tür zum Bad lässt sich auf- und zu schieben aber es bleibt genug Raum, um "das Geschäft" zu hören. Die Wände im Bad waren teils mit schwarzem Schimmel überzogen. Schließt man das Fenster im Bad über Nacht ist ein muffiger Geruch deutlich wahrnehmbar. Das WLAN im Hotel hat quasi keine Internetverbindung. Es reicht gerade noch für ein paar WhatsApp Nachrichten, alles darüber hinaus ist mit seeehr viel Wartezeit verbunden. Das Frühstück besteht aus 4-5 festen Gerichten. Es ist nicht möglich zu kombinieren. Der inkludierte Filterkaffee ist seeehr dünn. Das Personal ist dagegen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat unsere Fragen und Wünsche stets beantwortet und erfüllt.

There was 2 of us room was right size and very clean. DO NOT get a street room there is a night club across the street and they play rap from 10pm to 4am 5 nights a week very very very loud

Could have used blackout curtains. Location was good but unfortunately the nightclub across the street chose to play loud music until 4 a.m. one night. Prices and staff at pool bar were exceptional.

The rooms are a great value for space and included kitchenette. The only downside on my stay was unreliable WiFi and sometimes unable to get hot water.

Very disappointed by this hotel. AC was not working during a heat wave. Rooms are in very poor condition. Area is loud due to clubs across the street literally non stop till 5:00 a.m. Windows have very little privacy. The way it is advertised does not represent the poor reality of this hotel. Just BAD!

Everything was perfect until we got in the room to wind down and watch tv. We couldnt because the visibility sucked. I was advised its because of the cable and its going to show like that. For the amount of people staying and money charged, they need to invest in some cable. Also no black out curtains.

The room was very spacious, clean and had two comfortable king size beds, a sofa, table and chairs. The bath towels and linens were clean, of good quality and new looking. We usually travel as a family of four and this was the first time that four towels were waiting for us in the bath-room instead of two or three without having to ask for more. No face-cloths are supplied as is the case in North America. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything required to prepare meals. The pots and pans and other kitchen equipment were clean and wrapped in plastic. The refrigerator was an apartment sized one and not merely a bar-fridge. Three bottles of water were provided and placed in the refrigerator every day. The cable network was down over the whole city while we were there so we only had two digital channels to choose from instead of around thirty. Music and singing went on at the hotel our first night there (Friday) but was over by around 10:30 PM. To our surprise there was none of that on Saturday night. Instead there was an on again, off again loud machine-like humming sound going on all night from somewhere outside of the hotel. It sounded similar to that of a strong wind. The included breakfasts were satisfying as were the reasonably priced dinner. Our room had four windows with light filtering roller shades but no curtains. Anyone walking by when the lights were on could see into the room. We mentioned it at check-out only.

Overall I liked the Hotel Rockaway. This is literally across the street from Zicatela Beach with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants around the hotel. Most of the staff were super nice (you might run into a grumpy one) but the majority of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing that I thought could be improved was the Wi-Fi. I was there after a work meeting and still had work and I could not complete it with the Wi-Fi speeds in my room. I was told that the restaurant had stronger internet but there were no electrical outlets so - I was stuck.

Rentamos 7 cuartos y mis cuñadas se quedaron en otro lugar x q ya no había cuartos y vinieron para platicar y no les dieron permiso de pasar la verdad no es un lugar q vale la pena como para q sean tan payasos

Yo no me pude hospedar porque el huracán Erick no me lo permitió pero a pesar de esto el hotelero fue muy amable en poderme realizar mi cancelación sin ningún cobro de penalización a pesar de ya no estar dentro del tiempo de 24 horas de anticipo de cancelación sin penalización

Al momento de hacer check-in, llegué un poco antes de la hora, pero con gusto me apoyaron a revisar si mi habitación estaba lista o teníamos que esperar a la hora, al haber estado lista mi habitación, me permitieron ingresar El personal es muy amable y colaborador para ayudar en lo que uno necesite Me gustó mucho el hotel, regresaría en alguna otra ocasión para hospedarme con ellos.

Esta muy cerca de la playa y de muchos lugares para comer y divertirse. Solo si deseas estar en silencio total se sugiere pedir habitaciones alejadas de vista al mar

Location is great and convenient.

En general, es un lugar cómodo y con excelente servicio. * Está muy bien ubicado frente a la playa pero ojo, en esa playa no puedes bañarte, es totalmente abierta y con demasiadas olas. Debes saber que tendrás que moverte en taxi o a pie a las playas cercanas; hacia la derecha tienes las bahías (Carizalillo y Manzanillo las mejores) y hacia la izquierda Punta Zicatela (abierta pero puedes bañarte). Aquí estás en el centro entre ambos lados. La alberca limpia y suficiente. * AMO que tengan una pequeña heladera en cada cuarto pues puedes comprar cosas para comer un desayuno o cena por tu cuenta. Tienen una tienda justo afuera, estás cerca de otras tiendas y no tan lejos del mercado. * AMO que tengan agua gratuita para rellenar, fría y caliente. - El colchón de la cama no fue tan cómodo, es la única debilidad del hotel. * Otro plus: me permitieron ingresar antes al hotel y disfrutar de la alberca (guardaron mis cosas hasta que estuviera lista la habitación). En general, muy buena estancia!

We left after a few nights. The cartel owned bar across the street runs the town and blasts the loudest death “ music” until 5:20 am. The government apparently has no control over this. It shakes the building with alternating vibrations every ten seconds. Pure hell. I feel for the people of the town. The government should be ashamed.

We really liked being directly on Zicatela beach and close by to other surfing areas. The shops and restaurants are very much a beach type vibe. Good location, good A/C, warm water, pool and free breakfast on site. I do recommend ear plugs as the music can be loud some nights. Thank you.

They have a dj play from 10 am till 11pm,,so loud that my room was vibrating.Cant have a nap,conversation,,etc.It was like staying inside a rave.When i spoke to staff they said sorry the owner wants it this way. On tripad.there is dosens of reviews stating the same thing.Wish i had of read them in advance,

Really enjoyed my stay here. I had a basic room which was roomy enough, comfortable bed, good shower, AC, etc. Pool on location was small but nice; staff very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was good. The location is excellent, close to many dining and shopping options and the beach is great.

This is a good hotel to stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Zicatela beach was only across the street. Good restaurants only a few steps away. Quiet and very safe place. If you use the swimming pool or go to the beach they lend you towels. Highly recommended.

The beach is open ocean , beautiful but you can’t swim there you need to drive to another beach ti swim

Convenient location

La habitación standard muy pequeña, pero limpia. El baño muy pegado a la cama. El desayuno se podría mejorar en calidad

The staff is very helpful. I recommend the breakfast with it's selection of 8 breakfast types. All 4 that i tried were delicious. The beach is across the street with easy access. There are several good restaurants near by. The pool is well maintained as is the property.

Me hubiera gustado que el desayuno tuviera más variedad de comida, pero si no fuera por eso en general todo bien✨

El precio de las habitaciones es un poco más caro para lo que son. Las manijas de las puertas estaban muy flojas. El desayuno que incluye es muy muy básico y el servicio de restaurante pésimo. Se tardaron una hora y 20 minutos para servirnos dos hamburguesas. Además, nos dieron pan con moho. La vista de las habitaciones al mar es linda. El personal es atento.

El hotel cumple con todo un plus es el desayuno incluido yo fui en vacaciones y había poca gente aún así el restaurante es pequeño y se llenaba en ciertas horas por lo que había que esperar a veces mucho otras poco lo que si no quiero imaginar cuando el hotel está totalmente lleno la comida excelente y buenos precios buena ubicación puedes caminar a todas partes si te gusta lo más lejos caminando playa Carrizalillo y bacocho entre una hora y más aún así la avenida se encuentra arriba caminando a 10 min y ahí pasan las llamadas pescaderas

Nos encanto el hotel, la habitación bastante amplia, sus instalaciones limpias, el personal bastante amable, las albercas muy limpias, en general todo super bien. Ademas el desayuno esta increible porque te dan a escoger 6 platillos, y la sazón del chef muy buena. Sin duda regresaremos!!!👍

Limited breakfast

El hotel tiene muy buena ubicación, sin embargo hacen falta muchos detalles que hacen que tu experiencia no sea del todo placentera, solo hay aire acondicionado en las habitaciones y en áreas comunes como recepción no , en restaurante hay pero es muy deficiente y sufres mucho con el calor , la terraza no era como lo ponen en internet, la comida es cara y de muy baja calidad , pedimos algunas botanas y la verdad el sabor era nulo , el internet igual fallaba mucho y no podías trabajar por qué en mas habitaciones es muy deficiente , en general el hotel está bien , muy bien ubicado y algo amplio , solo si son detalles que si fuera yo , los cambiaría para consentir a mis huéspedes .
