We paid over £100 for a room which felt expensive. I think it was an expensive time of the year but even so the property was charming to look at but also very tired and could do with a refurb. Room was clean and large and very comfy bed. There is parking but it was a tight squeeze however to be expected given the location. Lovely food at the White Horse pub down the road. Nice helpful staff.

accommodation was easy access. The staff was very friendly and lovely to talk to. Check in and check out was perfectly fine. Would definitely recommend!

Want to know more, then read on…… After advising the hotel that we would be checking in quite late, we arrived to find no car parking space and our key was waiting for us on the Reception desk. A call to the provided telephone number received the response that we could park in front of the side gates (which were marked private). The room was upstairs and directions were clear; the floor had 3 or 4 trip hazards where the floor levels changed…. a clumsy family, no warning signs and poor lighting meant that we tripped on all of them. The room was a little bit tired-looking, with a cracked window pane, some mould on the grout around the shower base and carpets that looked as though they needed a good clean. The sheets, pillowcases and towels were clean and smelt fresh; the sink was clean and there was a nice hand soap and shampoo. We needed to leave early so didn’t have breakfast.

Lovely stay large room with modern bathroom facilities bed was comfortable. Excellent full English breakfast with caring member of staff. Decor could be updated but it’s a grade 2 listed building. Nice to have free parking too with excellent bus service into Bristol or Uber readily available.

The property itself is a nice size with nice size rooms. We were greeted at the property by a lovely friendly lady. Outside of the property, the car park was dangerous, tree branches hanging down and fencing broken and falling over. All of this and no outside lighting made it quite tricky to navigate. Inside of the property was very run down, carpets in communal area/stairs was very grubby and in need of repair, especially as the stairs are so steep. Room even though a good size is again just very worn out. Carpet has come away from the walls, bed very noisy and uncomfortable and no hot running water from tap. Shower was adequate. Bedding was clean and plenty of pillows.

We had a wonderful time at the Coach House! The beds were comfy, the breakfast was amazing, and we would stay again if in the area! They were so accommodating to help us when we needed an extra bed last minute! As they said parking can be a bit tricky so we parked down the road a bit but if you arrive early it shouldn't be an issue!

We were advised when we called the hotel to request a downstairs room but we’re out upstairs with a narrow staircase to bring dog crates/ bedding up and to then bring the dogs up and down stairs to go outside . There was no where to walk the dogs apart from the car park . The bed was squeaky every time you turned over - excessively so . Carpets were dirty . Mould on the bathroom ceiling and window over arch . Main light bulb had gone and no one was available when we needed a replacement so had to use one of the bedside lamps bulb instead . Our stay was so uncomfortable we left a day early . The photos on the hotels website are not representative of the condition it is in now

Had to get this place due to being closest to my job. Room is very outdated, cracked walls, cold , looks like from 70s…. Went to bathroom and was shocked to see mouldy ceiling….. asked to move to another …. Was moved to a nicer family room, but still walls with cracks, can see some creepy crawlers live there…. Radiator in the room started to work at some point but it went so hot… had to switch it off. Tried to turn on before bed, nothing, was cold, but woke up in the morning sweating as again it went on ( maybe local timer for whole hotel is on or something) walls are so thin, i could hear people next door sipping tea! Breakfast in the morning….. what can i say….. by the way, the room i got was executive double room!!!! Please check photos before you book. Unfortunately it was the worst stay for me for some time…. Unfortunately will not be coming back

Luckily spent most of my time out at meetings etc but my time in the hotel was very disappointing. The hotel appears quite run down and as I walked through, there were dirty bowls with half eaten food left at the eating area, stacked up and stinking the area out. I arrived at the room and it smelled awful. It was ground in and I finally identified that it was engrained in the carpet and it was the overwhelming smell of dogs

Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable and very clean room. Breakfast excellent value. Some aspects of the accomodation appear a little "tired" but are being addressed by the current owners. Recommend.

I can't speak about any other rooms (although one couple we spoke to said their room wasn't very good), but ours was very tired looking. The furniture was a little bizarre and a tiled step into the bathroom was a stubbed toe incident waiting to happen. I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned properly as there were dirty marks on the sink and toilet cistern which were removed easily and a slug was found on the window frame. We must have been at the end of a very long hot water pipe because it took so long to get warm water, I thought there was none to be had. All in all a very disappointing room, but I have to say the breakfasts were all right. I feel the notice in reception boasting that their hotel was in Bristol's top ten doesn't say a great deal for the other nine.

A very clean room and bathroom. Room amenities were good, apart from only having 1 bed pillow each which wasn’t to our liking. If staying at this property, perhaps recommend staying on 1st floor as our room was ground floor and the noise from upstairs guests was very loud - not much in terms of sound insulation. Room door and lock didn’t seem very secure or sturdy - perhaps this can be improved. Quite a significant gap between door and frame meaning noise, draft and light came through gaps. The door rattled too, meaning any wind/movement outside in the corridor caused the door to shake. Breakfast great continental selection, friendly staff.

Clean, big room, big tv, great shower. Super comfy bed with fan if u get easily hot during the night. Warm room in the morning. Walls are a bit fin though.

Room was clean and large and very comfy bed. There is parking but it was a tight squeeze however to be expected given the location. Lovely food at the White Horse pub down the road. Nice helpful staff.

Once a beautiful coach house now is very tired and run down. The building and its contents feel worn out. Stayed in a room with a beautiful round window that was broken and taped up. Needs a bit of money spending on it.

The property itself is a nice size with nice size rooms. We were greeted at the property by a lovely friendly lady. Outside of the property, the car park was dangerous, tree branches hanging down and fencing broken and falling over. All of this and no outside lighting made it quite tricky to navigate. Inside of the property was very run down, carpets in communal area/stairs was very grubby and in need of repair, especially as the stairs are so steep. Room even though a good size is again just very worn out. Carpet has come away from the walls, bed very noisy and uncomfortable and no hot running water from tap. Shower was adequate. Bedding was clean and plenty of pillows.

We were advised when we called the hotel to request a downstairs room but we’re out upstairs with a narrow staircase to bring dog crates/ bedding up and to then bring the dogs up and down stairs to go outside . There was no where to walk the dogs apart from the car park . The bed was squeaky every time you turned over - excessively so . Carpets were dirty . Mould on the bathroom ceiling and window over arch . Main light bulb had gone and no one was available when we needed a replacement so had to use one of the bedside lamps bulb instead . Our stay was so uncomfortable we left a day early . The photos on the hotels website are not representative of the condition it is in now

Everything was lovely and was set in such a beautiful space. Staff were absolutely on point and couldn’t have helped us enough. 5* from me and the group I was with which in total was 4 rooms. Will definitely be coming back again x

Visiting the Bristol area for the first time we found this hotel in the local area which was cheap and conveniently placed for access into the city centre (10mins drive away). The staff were welcoming on arrival and the room was clean and tidy. Arriving back late at night there was still parking spaces and the area is quiet so able to have a nice night's sleep in the comfortable bed. We kept with the continental breakfast, however, the cooked breakfast received compliments from other residents. Will definitely stay here again and recommend for others who visit the area. Thanks again.

This was a pleasant enough stay however i have one major gripe. It took me almost an hour to find the place. The post code location is not near the place. No one in the area including the local pub knew where it was and the phone number on my confirmation was inactive.

Lovely stay large room with modern bathroom facilities bed was comfortable. Excellent full English breakfast with caring member of staff. Decor could be updated but it’s a grade 2 listed building. Nice to have free parking too with excellent bus service into Bristol or Uber readily available.

The location was great for UWE uni and Parkway station and the staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms are tired and tatty need good lick of paint and updating. Pleasant guest house but very basic.

Breakfast had disappeared from booking. Place needs investment in all departments. Broken shower head, broken soap dispenser room smelt, cobwebs. Free view tv us. Owners dog very noisy. Sound carries. £88 seems very expensive for just a sleep. Pictures of property are so out of date Only if you are desperate!!!

We had a wonderful time at the Coach House! The beds were comfy, the breakfast was amazing, and we would stay again if in the area! They were so accommodating to help us when we needed an extra bed last minute! As they said parking can be a bit tricky so we parked down the road a bit but if you arrive early it shouldn't be an issue!

This was a brief one-night stay whilst visiting family members in Bristol. It was dark and raining when I arrived! My room was clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast did the job perfectly. It would have been nice to explore the surrounding area but there was no time.

We booked for one night (room 14) and we had a bad experience. We woke up due to the loud noise of people being drunk. The walls are not sound proof, in addition to our stay the room smelled like mold and damp and after being there for a while we started having symptoms of running nose, breathlessness and itchy eyes and it lasted the whole time we were there, which was affecting my daughter who is asthmatic The bathroom really needs refurbishing, the room at night has a light that comes through the bathroom window and could no blackout at time to sleep.
