Had an absolutely fabulous week at the Parson Woodforde. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and a credit to Mark and Maria :) The food was incredible, all local produce with lovely fresh seafood specials and all very well seasoned! The roast on Sunday was one of the best I’ve ever had and we were made to feel very welcome and given loads of useful local information, nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were immaculate. There is a lot within easy reach of the pub with the coast at Cromer only 30 mins away, Norwich airport park and ride about 10 mins away (£4 for two of us for a return into Norwich) and the broads and other wildlife reserves easy to get to (we went to Wroxham to hire a boat for a couple of hours). I wish Mark and Maria all success in their future as they have created a truly unique atmosphere with quality food, I just wished we lived nearer!

Only stayed for one night but the room was a good size and bed comfortable. Everything in the room was of a good standard and very clean. There is nothing else too close to the building and going out means driving however the bar and restaurant in the hotel is warm and welcoming with an excellent atmosphere and menu.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The room was spotless and comfortable. Our evening meal was delicious, as was breakfast. The staff were friendly and attentive and appeared to work as a smooth running team. Attention to detail was exemplary - how lovely to have our dinner served on hot plates! We can’t fault our stay and would definitely recommend the Parson Woodforde.

Very cosy country pub, the room was great Very clean and a lovely king size comfy bed. The evening meal was very good with a good choice on the menu. Not forgetting the breakfast in the morning spot on.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, including the en-suite with an easy to work shower which had good water pressure. The food was of an excellent quality at breakfast and in the evenings. The cooked breakfast was one the best that i have ever had. Just one point which might be considered, is to offer pastries and fruit at breakfast. My wife, does not like a traditional full English in the morning and it might be worth considering offering a selection of pastries and fruit. It could be offered as an option when guests check in and then costs are controlled. I must commend Alison on her comprehensive check in with clearly explained Fire Safety procedures. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I would whole heartedly recommend this pub.

Everything was excellent from the very happy and very helpful staff to the food, the room, the garden. All fabulous!! Very clean everywhere. Staff work very hard. A happy ship. Only very slight negative is the size of the bathroom . The en-suite had a full bath with shower over and a loo squeezed in beside it. Not great for those of ample proportions.would highly recommend this place.

This was a great stay, I was travelling for business. The grounds and rooms are immaculate, clean and in a good condition. The bed was huge and very comfy. I was welcomed as soon as I entered the door and thanked as I was leaving. A genuinely lovely place to stay. The breakfast included was of a high standard too! Nothing negative to say at all. I will stay again if in the area.

Warm welcome by Maria when we checked in and shown to our room. Delicious breakfast. Our booking said a garden view room but we overlooked the rear carpark. Great size bed but too soft for us, it was like laying on a beanbag. Great location

Great place to stay. Very friendly and quiet - especially overnight. Fantastic cooked to order English Breakfast and fresh filter coffee. Lovely room and sparkling bathroom. Only downside for us was the bed was a bit soft but you can't have everything!

Excellent customer service with staff who were immaculate in their personal presentation - sadly lacking in hospitatlity generally. Warm and cosy on an extremely cold night - breakfast excellent and we asked to be served quickly as we had to leave to get to an appointment - which was dealt with efficiently and with a smile

I had a wonderful stay at The Parson Woodforde, a lovely country pub. I stayed for 2 nights during my trip. It's positioned roughly midway between Norwich and Fakenham. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, plus I had an evening meal one night that was also great. The room was large with, plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed, plus a lovely bathroom. On my trip, I spent a day sightseeing in and around Norwich. I also spent a morning at beautiful Pensthorpe, before an exciting afternoon's racing at Fakenham. Thoroughly recommend The Parson Woodforde, especially the friendly staff, and will definitely be staying again when next in the area.

Very efficient check in where I was met with a smile. Exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and the price was very resonable. Food was good as was the service.

Had an absolutely fabulous week at the Parson Woodforde. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and a credit to Mark and Maria :) The food was incredible, all local produce with lovely fresh seafood specials and all very well seasoned! The roast on Sunday was one of the best I’ve ever had and we were made to feel very welcome and given loads of useful local information, nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were immaculate. There is a lot within easy reach of the pub with the coast at Cromer only 30 mins away, Norwich airport park and ride about 10 mins away (£4 for two of us for a return into Norwich) and the broads and other wildlife reserves easy to get to (we went to Wroxham to hire a boat for a couple of hours). I wish Mark and Maria all success in their future as they have created a truly unique atmosphere with quality food, I just wished we lived nearer!

Warm welcome by Maria when we checked in and shown to our room. Delicious breakfast. Our booking said a garden view room but we overlooked the rear carpark. Great size bed but too soft for us, it was like laying on a beanbag. Great location

I had a wonderful stay at The Parson Woodforde, a lovely country pub. I stayed for 2 nights during my trip. It's positioned roughly midway between Norwich and Fakenham. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, plus I had an evening meal one night that was also great. The room was large with, plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed, plus a lovely bathroom. On my trip, I spent a day sightseeing in and around Norwich. I also spent a morning at beautiful Pensthorpe, before an exciting afternoon's racing at Fakenham. Thoroughly recommend The Parson Woodforde, especially the friendly staff, and will definitely be staying again when next in the area.

Outstanding place, great quiet location with loads of parking and friendly staff. The food was amazing but I missed the breakfast so can't say how nice it was. Rooms were well equipped, clean and very modern and well decorated. Would definitely use again...

Only stayed for one night but the room was a good size and bed comfortable. Everything in the room was of a good standard and very clean. There is nothing else too close to the building and going out means driving however the bar and restaurant in the hotel is warm and welcoming with an excellent atmosphere and menu.

Great place to stay. Very friendly and quiet - especially overnight. Fantastic cooked to order English Breakfast and fresh filter coffee. Lovely room and sparkling bathroom. Only downside for us was the bed was a bit soft but you can't have everything!

Room was small but comfortable, although very small ensuite. Comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice, drinks were not very hot but was rectified when told.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, including the en-suite with an easy to work shower which had good water pressure. The food was of an excellent quality at breakfast and in the evenings. The cooked breakfast was one the best that i have ever had. Just one point which might be considered, is to offer pastries and fruit at breakfast. My wife, does not like a traditional full English in the morning and it might be worth considering offering a selection of pastries and fruit. It could be offered as an option when guests check in and then costs are controlled. I must commend Alison on her comprehensive check in with clearly explained Fire Safety procedures. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I would whole heartedly recommend this pub.

This was a great stay, I was travelling for business. The grounds and rooms are immaculate, clean and in a good condition. The bed was huge and very comfy. I was welcomed as soon as I entered the door and thanked as I was leaving. A genuinely lovely place to stay. The breakfast included was of a high standard too! Nothing negative to say at all. I will stay again if in the area.

What a great find. Room 5 was clean & well appointed with a lovely comfortable bed. Fluffy white towels in the bathroom with nice toiletries. Staff were really accommodating about an early breakfast and evening meals were generous and good value. Only slight disappointment was that you could hear a gentle beat of the music in the pub below but this stopped at closing time. However, altogether a great stay and would readily return. Thank you to all the staff - you were amazing.

Stayed for two nights and have stayed here before. Had an excellent stay. The rooms and facilities are really good, comfortable beds and good bathroom. The staff are amazing, food is first class, and the bar is a pleasant country pub atmosphere. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay, go for a meal or just a drink.
