We stayed in the main building. Common spaces were wonderful and original to the historic house. Very comfortable and nicely appointed throughout. Dining spaces for breakfast were very nice. Had the option of sitting at a private or communal table. Very nice service. Several great options available for order off of the menu. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Beautiful landscaped grounds. Quiet and peaceful. Parking very near by. Downtown Bloomington and IU campus very accessible on foot or by car. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely recommend for a stay.

The 2nd floor balcony room was so cool. We loved having our own outdoor space and entrance/exit onto the lovely courtyard. That was another really cool feature--the courtyard felt like we were at an English manor. The only slight disappointment was the check in staff. They were helpful but not particularly welcoming.

I had a solo weekend stay for mom's weekend. Even in February, the grounds were pretty and well maintained. Indiana can be ugly this time of year. I loved that I could walk to most places where I met my son for meals, etc. You can easily walk to campus or the downtown square from here. The room was immaculate and appointed with everything one would need. The breakfast was speedy and very good. The place overall had a great vibe. I felt very safe on my own and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Had a problem with the TV and they came right away to fix it. Breakfast was outstanding. Nice people, nice facility with great parking, and centrally located.

We arrived at the main house & Allison checked us in. She was extremely pleasant & knowledgable about the property & homes. We stayed at The Composer House. We had a balcony room & it was simply stunning! The place is cozy, charming & the bed was super comfortable. The made Ti order breakfast was delicious. Thank you Ella for taking care of us! We can’t wait to return!! 6 minutes from IU campus

This was a lovely B&B. We enjoyed the porches in the Composers House as well as a glass of wine in the the garden outside of the main building. The breakfast was a multi-course culinary extravaganza: fresh from the oven blueberry muffin, bowl of fresh fruit, and your choice of an entree. I had the stuffed pancakes with the most delicious sausage links and scrambled eggs. Only issue was that there was quite a bit of outdoor partying going on in nearby houses until about 2:30 am (Thursday night/early morning Friday). As I'm a lighter sleeper, a sound machine would have made this a non-issue. Loved that it was close enough to walk to boutiques on the square and to campus.,

Main issue was noise. There is a frat house or similar very close and we were kept awake until 5am with very loud music and constant shouting. Not good fro a nights sleep.

So charming and adorable! The pictures do not do this historic property justice! The room was spacious and orderly. I loved that the bathroom was far from the bed and the wet bar was really nice. The bed was so comfortable and had very nice linens. It was surprisingly quiet too though the hotel was pretty full. The breakfast was to die for! We had muffins, a take on an eggs Benedict and apple crepes with cranberry syrup. The staff was very helpful and everything was a short walk so the location couldn’t be better. We are definitely staying there again!

Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood. It may have been because I was there in the summer when the university is not in full session but it was very peaceful during my stay. The house was very well kept and my bed was comofrtable. The staff during breakfast was excellent. It was greeat service and my coffee cup was always full until I said I'd had enough. Highly recommend this place. Oh, I stayed in the main house on the upper floor. I really liked the bay windows and all the natural light that came from the windows. Bathroom was really spacious too.

What an absolute hidden gem! My room was HUGE & the bed was so comfy. I stayed in Composer building and I couldn't have been more pleased. The courtyard was so adorable!!! We were visiting for graduation so I unfortunately had leave before breakfast was served, but I will 100% return. This was one of the most adorable and lovely hotels I have stayed at in a very long time.

A wonderful B&B. There is the main house but we stayed in the annex called The Composer in room 110 (2nd floor, corner room). Breakfast was delicious and well worth the stay. Only drawbacks: 1) the only have ROKU service so we never were able to access cable news 2) it is a double bed but comfortable.

I haven't stayed in a traditional bed and breakfast for many years but the Showers Inn reminded me just how great they can be. The staff was incredible in reaching out beforehand, during checkin and throughout the stay. The room was wonderful. The made to order breakfast was incredible. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever in Bloomington again.

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Staff was incredibly kind and courteous, very accommodating. Spot was walkable to Kirkwood and the University, but removed enough to be quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend.

No one works at front desk after 7pm. When i finally got into my room later that night- the shower handle was broken and i couldn’t turn the shower on. I called the front desk and emailed them. No one responded. I finally managed to get the shower on with cold water. I reached out to owner about some items left in the room after check out and he/she never responded

The staff were very attentive. The breakfast was incredibly good, better than most restaurants. The room was spacious and updated. The sitting area in the main building had preserved the wood - crown molding and walls. Very beautiful.

We had a great time. Place was clean and nicely furnished with a porch swing, glider and comfortable chair. We sat on the covered porch in the rain. Walking distance to the Union, about 6 blocks. Breakfast was delicious and table service was efficient with friendly staff. The only thing was we put out the checklist of what we needed and nobody ever came to read it or provide supplies.

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Staff was incredibly kind and courteous, very accommodating. Spot was walkable to Kirkwood and the University, but removed enough to be quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the main building. Common spaces were wonderful and original to the historic house. Very comfortable and nicely appointed throughout. Dining spaces for breakfast were very nice. Had the option of sitting at a private or communal table. Very nice service. Several great options available for order off of the menu. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Beautiful landscaped grounds. Quiet and peaceful. Parking very near by. Downtown Bloomington and IU campus very accessible on foot or by car. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely recommend for a stay.

It's a beautiful property, and the breakfast is great! Very convenient location for walking downtown, although there are some party houses nearby which can occasionally be loud, but I never had trouble sleeping. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be looking to stay here the next time I visit.

I had a solo weekend stay for mom's weekend. Even in February, the grounds were pretty and well maintained. Indiana can be ugly this time of year. I loved that I could walk to most places where I met my son for meals, etc. You can easily walk to campus or the downtown square from here. The room was immaculate and appointed with everything one would need. The breakfast was speedy and very good. The place overall had a great vibe. I felt very safe on my own and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Showers Inn was awesome. The house was gorgeous, the room I stayed in was so quaint and adorable. I felt like I stepped back in time. Despite being in the middle of a college town it was quiet at night. The neighborhood was very safe and walkable and there were plenty of restaurants and bars to walk to in about 10 minutes. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay that isn’t a cookie cutter hotel. Can’t wait to return!

So charming and adorable! The pictures do not do this historic property justice! The room was spacious and orderly. I loved that the bathroom was far from the bed and the wet bar was really nice. The bed was so comfortable and had very nice linens. It was surprisingly quiet too though the hotel was pretty full. The breakfast was to die for! We had muffins, a take on an eggs Benedict and apple crepes with cranberry syrup. The staff was very helpful and everything was a short walk so the location couldn’t be better. We are definitely staying there again!

Great experience but I do wish the breakfast menu had more options Also it was a little noisy at times with the music playing and doors slamming. The neighborhood is safe enough and adequate parking. Overall it was a decent experience but not amazing. Thanks.

Although my stay was top notch from check-in to check-out, the included breakfast (from a menu) stood out as the best I have had at a hotel or B & B. It was incredible as was the wait staff who took my order and delivered exceptional service.

I had a good time at Showers Inn at Bloomington. It is a family owned business, so kind of relaxed and chilled. The room was spacious. The breakfast is made to order and is of high quality. The property is right near the downtown, and close walking distance to shopping and dining options. It rains a lot at Bloomington, and is very humid, so beware of mosquitoes and bed bugs.

Cleanliness and the comfort of the room were exceptional. Cindy was so welcoming and helpful. She was understanding of my having to go through the kitchen to get to the breakfast area due to fewer steps while I recover from knee replacement. Getting hot water in the shower took a while, but eventually it became hot. I would have appreciated a hand soap other than glycerin which I don't think gets hands very clean. Also, if you have any mobility impairments, this is a tough place to navigate. Two flights of relatively steep steps to get to the main house if you are staying in the Composer's House.

The place was cute enough and the room was clean and well maintained. The bed was not great. I think if they had all king beds it would be a game changer. Sharing a queen (a very small queen) with my teenager while doing a campus visit wasn’t ideal and we won’t go back. Most of the staff was great. One gal kind of barged into our room at 9pm looking for her laptop and then the next morning our room had a balcony and no one was staying next door so we were told we had the whole balcony to ourselves but I go out with my coffee to chill and she’s out the there on the vacant room side siting and smoking and wanting to chat and I’m allergic to smoke so much eyes were irritated all day. The scones and cookies are excellent and I think Mike checked us in he was very nice.

I arrived during a tornado warning in Monroe County, and the staff member was waiting for me at the front door. (Everything was fine, just a bit unnerving!) My room was wonderful: clean, comfortable, and just what I'd hoped for. I was in town for business and was able to get a nice, quiet night of sleep each of the nights I was there. Lovely property, very well-maintained, and highly recommended.
