We appreciated the local ownership, the links to area restaurants and activities, the ping-pong table and small disc golf course, and the spacious room. We were disappointed that the fridge didn't have a freezer, but then all of our food froze.

There is no elevator for 2nd floor rooms (if there was we were not told about it) Now it’s not many stairs but my husband has bad knees and we have been on a long road trip and our suitcase was heavy to carry around. The breakfast was mediocre. The pancake machine was good and they also offered biscuit and gravy. Our growing teenagers like eggs and meat that they have experienced at other hotels. We did like the three bed option so everyone got a bed vs. someone on a couch. They have corn hole and ping pong that you just have to ask the front desk for the bags/paddles.

What a lively little hotel. You can tell that the people who run it care about high standards. It is very clean and comfortable and tye staff very cordial and accommodating. There is a nice gym and little recreation area inside. The breakfast was fine--biscuits and gravy, pancakes and the regular fare. I highly recommend it. Its not a luxurious spa hotel but very nice and comfortable. Priced well.

Overall an excellent stay! I liked that the main door locked at 9pm, made it feel so safe! I also like the passcode for the room, more security! I’d just recommend more pillows for the bed! I’d definitely stay here again!!

BEWARE: All Expedia rooms are on the 2nd floor and they have NO ELEVATOR. In every other aspect, it is a very nice hotel. Wal-Mart across the street. Taco Bell next door on one side and McDonald's on the other. Lousy coffee but an otherwise good breakfast. But my husband is a cardiac patient and the lack of an elevator was a serious problem.

Room wasn’t vacuumed because of crumbs by desk chair on the floor. Shower had long hairs on the tub and shower drain drained extremely slow and would fill water up over your feet during a 5 minute shower.

The overall property and room were dated but clean. Upon checkin we noticed there were hairs in the bathtub and on shower walls. When we reported it, the staff was quick to clean the whole bathroom. We were disappointed that the television in the bedroom did not work, the staff could not get it working and did not offer to replace the television or the Direct TV modem so that we would have a working television. The hotel was booked at very low capacity, so there were plenty of possible subsitutes. The check in staff was excellent and very helpful.

Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The air conditioner in the room was very loud and sound from the hall easily carried into the room. If you’re a light sleeper, these things could be an issue. I wasn’t a fan of the keypad locks on the doors, nor the breakfast, which as identical to other hotels.

We loved the triple beds! This is perfect for a large family or when siblings/family members don’t want to share a bed. It made our stay amazing!!! I also absolutely loved the option of hot chocolate during breakfast! I’m not a coffee drinker but I love hot chocolate so this made my stay perfect!

Cons:TVs didn’t work first night. They said they would fix them and when we came back the one in the bedroom still didn’t work. They only have staff until 9pm. So no option to ask for extra pillows or bedding when we get in after 9pm. No trash bags which is really annoying when they only give you tiny trash cans and you have 4 people. Also the little scan code to tip the room cleaner is so off putting. Especially when there is food crumbs and trash behind chairs and tvs. The pictures online make the place look nicer than in person. Pros: Beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Overall probably won’t stay here again. Especially for $168 a night and we can’t even relax and watch tv.

Nice property, rude staff. Pets allowed does not mean pet (or service animal) friendly.. When I checked in the receptionist was sure to be vocal of that fact that she will have to change my reservation to another room since she saw a dog in my car when I pulled up. She then tried attaching an $88 (EIGHTY EIGHT!) dollar fee to that until I provided prof of my dog being a registered service animal, which was reluctantly accepted with an eye roll. As I was in town for a wedding I requested a late checkout which was granted with another eye roll. Yet exactly at 10am, which is 1 hour before check out time and 2 hours before late check out, and although I had a do not disturb sign on the door, a housekeeper comes walking in unannounced as she was told by front desk the room had been vacated The property itself I found to be very nice. Clean, modern, nice patio area and good breakfast. The “hospitality” workers however, could benefit from a workshop or 2 on hospitality

When we arrived at the hotel, no one was at the desk which was odd. We needed to call someone to come to the desk. The rooms were extremely simple. The room was clean. There were numerous steps we needed to take to get tv stations. We couldn’t get the tv to work-previous occupants added

The hotel was okay, but very pricey over the weekend because of Simpson College's Homecoming football game, and I do understand that rates increase as room availability decreases. My room was quite noisy since my window was about 12 feet from the McDonalds parking lot and drive-thru. Might have been quieter on the other side of the hotel and really nothing the hotel can do about it's proximity to the neighboring parking lot. The battery in my room's door keypad had to be replaced and I then discovered that my original code no longer worked, so I was locked out of my room. Staff set up a new code and it worked fine until I tried to get back into the hotel after 11:00 when the front desk is no longer staffed and you use your room code to gain entry to the lobby. I tried the new code I was issued several times and couldn't get in and then wondered if maybe my original code would work since there wasn't a soul around to let me in. I tied to remember my original code and after a few tries I got into the lobby and then used my new code to get into my room. None of this is the end of the world, but rather frustrating to experience so many hiccups during a three night stay.

We were in town for the National Balloon Classic. Front desk staff was very friendly and very helpful with info about the area. They even called after we checked out and let us know we left something behind. Since we were already on the way back home they offered to mail it to us. Great service all around! Will definitely be back! ☺️

This place was the perfect retreat for an overnight stay! Everything was so clean & cozy feeling. The silly signs made us laugh a lot and the continental breakfast was the perfect variety of things. It’s right across from a Walmart and next to fast food which was perfect for our quick trip to the area. We will definitely be back!

This is our go to stay when we are in Indianola to see our kids. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that so e places have bit that is not our dialog. For the price it is great. Staff is always friendly, breakfast is good. Love the apples and coffee available all the time. Even though it is now the highway it is quite. The lobby is great for extended conversation too.
