Stayed one Sunday night, everything clean and comfortable even the pool and hot tub. Pleasant owners.

When we checked in, we were put on the second floor and my wife has a problem climbing stairs. The spa was not working in the pool area. They did not have any pool towels , so I had to go to the front desk to get the towels. We missed have fruit and yogurt for breakfast. We had to buy a bar of soap as the one furnished broke apart. The bed was comfortable.

The room had black smudges on the walls in the room. Black finger prints on the hand towels. No vending machines. No operating pool or hot tub as advertised.

Hot tub in the pool was broken, pool towels we next to impossible to get, when asking for them at the desk "there is none dry". Breakfast needed better restocking for the amount of people coming through. Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful but seemed to be running short staffed so they had multiple jobs on their plate.

The owner was extremely rude. Very poor customer service. I called to confirm my reservation and he could not only understand what I was asking, he didn’t care, shouted “24 hour cancellation” multiple times and hung up on me and then wouldn’t answer when I called back. His strong foreign accent made it very hard to understand him but his attitude was the real problem. The common areas were not very clean and just run down. The pool looked dirty and the hot tub wasn’t functioning, looked like it had been broke for a long time. Made us stay on second floor even though we asked for first and it wasn't busy. No elevator. The back door was broken so you couldn’t exit. That’s a fire hazard. The toilet was dirty. The bedding smelled like bleach and that was the only saving grace of the whole place. I don’t leave bad reviews but this is experience left me no choice.

Room was hot as blazes and took 1/2 the night to cool down. Pool was only open til 9 on a Saturday and the spa was broken. Staff was very transactional.

Beware of the pool!!! I have no idea what they have in it but it is not just chlorine in my opinion. My husband had a blue shirt on which has faded to almost pink. Two others bathing suits totally faded. Two in our party had terrible burning in there eyes and had to get drops. Their eyes were still swollen the next day. The motel was very clean and quiet. The staff was not friendly at all

The room was only 50 degrees. The pool was ice cold and the hot tub was barely warm.

The pool was about 90% chlorine and the rest other chemicals. Burned your skin and eyes the moment you walked into the pool area. Gosh forbid you get it in your mouth!!!!!

If you read nothing else, read this: COCKROACHES. I booked this hotel because it was rated favorably on Expedia. When we walked in, I noticed that the pool and hot tub were out of order. Disappointing. Then we got to our room. The first thing I noticed was the musty, disgusting smell, then the cockroaches. We found them on the walls and the floor before we even had a chance to set down our luggage. In addition to the cockroaches, there was a large brown spider and some small black bugs on the wall of the bathroom. We immediately went to the front desk and asked for a refund. They said we had to contact Expedia. I did. Expedia called the front desk and asked for a refund, which the Americinn refused to issue to us because it was “not possible.” No explanation of why. We went back to the front desk to ask why they denied our refund. They called the manager, who does not speak English well, but only kept saying that his hotel is clean. I assure you, it is not. After about an hour of back and forth, we finally left, $150 poorer. Expedia was not at all helpful, and I will never book with them again. This hotel should be shut down. You would be better off sleeping in your car.

The other options were few and some items seemed like they were there for awhile. In the room, the heater fan was loud and the bathroom fan ran the whole time with no way to turn it off. The bathroom door needs to be trimmed off the bottom as it did not open and close easily and dragged on the floor. We had our dog with us and the clerk tried to have us pay more than what was posted online. On the pleasant side, everything was very clean. I liked the adjustable mirror in the bathroom and the wide counter.:)

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was disappointing. The check-in process was uncomfortable—after providing my driver’s license and credit card, the staff member returned my license but then made a phone call while holding my credit card, speaking in another language and looking at it for several minutes, which felt inappropriate. The lobby was dark with an unpleasant odor, and both the lobby and hallways were freezing. Amenities were lacking as the pool was extremely cold, and the hot tub was out of service. Upon entering the room, I noticed spills on the coffee table, a dirty bathroom counter, and what looked like vomit on the toilet front. The bedding also appeared very worn. Additionally, the lamps were outdated and didn’t allow room for charging blocks to be plugged in, and there were no USB or USB-C outlets available. The breakfast was also pretty skimpy. With some attention to these details, this hotel could provide a much better experience for guests.

There was a dirt ring around the bathtub so I didn't even get in the sheets I slept on top with my own blanket which I always carry just in case. The carpet was not fresh and the room was dusty so I didn't even use the coffee maker. The desk clerk hummed to himself the whole time he was checking me in which was annoying and dismissive. I had no choice to stay here since its the only one in town but next time I will definitely be driving back home instead of staying over. Not worth it at all.

We have stayed here previously. It's convenient for our purpose. We will no longer stay there again. The towels are stained and yellow. The bedding is the same. Stained and greasy looking.

Language barrier. Breakfast there wasn't much for options. The syrup must have been old, was VERY tacky like glue. Juices sat out on the counter and were WARM! Sheets were dirty so we slept on top of the bedding. Bathroom was dirty, mold in the shower area, mirrors were all dirty, towels stunk and the whole room stunk bad. The room was very dusty as if it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Noone was ever at the front desk. Hot tub was not working. In the pool area, there wasnt extra towels only 3 towels out. Ants all over inside the pool area floor. Pricey for one night stay.

We arrived really late and last minute. Check-in was quick. The room was cold, especially the bathroom. Turned up the temperature, and it was really hot. No reasonable middle temp. The hot tub was closed, and the water was yellow. The pool was okay. The breakfast was not the best. Very limited to a few carb items, but you get what you pay for. It fit what we needed, but definitely not the 8.2 rating that Expedia gave it.

it was fine. I had a little trouble operating the TV. Otherwise a nice place to spend a night

Extremely hard beds. Had to call from the front desk to check in. TV, alarm clock, and plug-ins on the side table lamps did not work.

Great property! Very, very clean. Host/owner was excellent! Thought it was a great value. Room was large and roomy with a great mattress, large bathroom with plenty of towels. Everything was in excellent condition. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here on a Saturday night and thought it would be a bit busier, but when I pulled up to the hotel, it was really quiet. This had me worried, but the experience inside the hotel was great. The rooms were really nice and clean, and the service was friendly. The couple who own the hotel appeared to be running it themselves without other employees. I saved a lot of money compared to staying in Alexandria. Only negatives were the exterior-- the "AmericInn" sign was missing (maybe got blown apart in a storm), and there were a few weeds growing in the parking lot.

It was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I gave it a 4star instead of 5star because their breakfast options could be better and and eating area cleaner.

They need more than the 1 person I saw working there. It took a long time to get his attention so that I could check in. The bathroom door was not functioning properly. I had to lift up on it to open and close it.

The guy at the front desk was rude. Snipped when I said we have a service dog. No sheets were changed , no shampoo enough for me or my kid or husband. Coffee maker had a coffee bag left in it and an empty beer can in the room. It was freezing walking in the hallways. And the owner parked in the handicap parking when we needed the front one for our daughter. No sticker on plate or a hanging handy cap sign. Breakfast was a joke. And charged me way more than they advertised to me.

Arrived about 2:30 PM, no one at the front desk, dial 0 as the sign said, someone answered and said they were at lunch and would be back to the front desk in 5 minutes. There were 5 people waiting to check-in and another 2 people waiting to ask a question. Front desk person did arrive within 5 minutes. My TV did not work, the remote batteries were dead. The person at the front desk did come up immediately when called and replaced the batteries and stayed to make sure the TV worked properly. He was very cordial. Breakfast was very disappointing. There was not that much to choose from. However, our stay was quiet and the room was comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with the craft brewery a short walking distance from the hotel.

Difficult to communicate with the property manager. My booking wasn't showing up. I already paid through Expedia, but there was no record of it at the hotel. I had to pay again. In the morning, I was told he was going to refund me. He did, but then charged me again (I discovered when I checked my bank account). Besides that, there were no vending machines and the breakfast was not good. No fruit, warm juice, etc. The beds were fine.

SUPER UNDER STAFFED!! When I first booked this room, in FEBRUARY, I put in the comments I was requesting early check-in. Two days before my stay, I called to reconfirm this. The man who answered the phone was very hard to understand. Had to repeat myself several times. His answer to my question, "I will be able to check in at 1:00pm, correct?", was YES. Get to the hotel, nobody at the desk. Nobody to be found period. Nobody answered the phone at the desk with the note to call and someone will help you. The hotel was booked with people all going to the same wedding. When the guy finally showed up at the desk at 2pm (he had been at lunch for about two hours), the lobby was FULL of people trying to check-in. Ended up changing clothes in the bathroom down the hall. Finally get into my room with about 20 minutes before having to leave for the wedding. Nice big holes in the wall about the bed where apparently a large picture had been hanging. When I went to check-out the next morning, again NOBODY AT THE DESK. People had left notes saying they were checking out of their rooms. I did the same. I get this was a VERY small town, but you need people at the desk at critical service times. And maybe, you need to delay taking your lunch when you know A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE CHECKING IN. About the only nice thing I can say about this hotel is, at least they had my reservation.....I hope to never again stay here again.

I loved staying at Parker Prairie Grandstay. It was so clean and well taken care of. I brought my dog and had no trouble. Safe area to walk her no matter the time. We used the hotel while we visited Miltona Lake for fishing. It was a great location. Close to the lake and reasonable price.

Hotel is in a great little town. Quiet area. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit lacking but sufficient - it's a free breakfast so can't complain too much. Check-in was quick and easy, and the owner was very nice and welcoming.

Nice place to stay while fihing lakes in the area. The Continental breakfast is a nice fast perk.

It was "okay". But the customer service was bad. Front desk was terrible. Nobody ever there, had to call from the front desk to get someone every time. Room smelt odd and hot tub was barely luke warm. Breakfast was disgusting.6/10 overall

During check in we needed to dial a phone to get someone to the front desk. Before we even got to dial the number a guy was walking towards us asking us to dial 0. We dialed the number only for the phone in his hand to ring. I immediately hung up. He checked us in and it was fine. The rooms were clean and nice. The next morning we were woken by housecleaning knocking on the door at 7:30AM. Not sure why so early. So we got ready and went to breakfast. If you like carbs you are in luck. If you want anything else - not much for protein or healthy options.

The coffee was excellent, and all his available. The Belgian waffles were delicious every morning from 6 to 10 AM. The facility was clean. The beds were comfortable, not fancy, but still nice. I definitely stay there again.

No real breakfast foods unless you were on a carbohydrate kick
