Great central place to stay. friendly staff. No parking on site but there is near by. Lovely size room and whilst we didn't ask for a view of the sea you could look out the window and see / hear the sea.

Lovely friendly hotel/pub, setting was glorious on a lovely day. Parking wasnt great but overnight only coat 7 pound . Employees friendly, nice traditional breakfast

Room was superb, we were upgraded to room 7 which was really a suite, with large windows overlooking Cardigan Bay. Two cocktails for £10 was fantastic start to stay. Disabled parking (and normal parking) on road directly outside. Restrictions apply but not after 30/09.The real bonus for this hotel was the service and friendliness of every member of staff.

Room was superb, we were upgraded to room 7 which was really a suite, with large windows overlooking Cardigan Bay. Two cocktails for £10 was fantastic start to stay. Lack of parking, had to park on 24hr parking but the problem there was if you went out in your car when you came back to park up there were no spaces left had to park 20min. walk away.

We enjoyed staying here. There were a couple of things that let it down, for example the handle to the door was broken and kept coming loose when pulled, and when we first arrived to check in it felt like we were waiting a long time as the bar customers were being prioritised over hotel guests (we saw people who arrived after us served before us). That being said, we had a sea view room which was lovely and really enjoyed the proximity to the harbour. There is no parking on site but the Rock Street car park just around the corner was good value for 24hrs and only a stone’s throw from the accommodation so not too bad for carrying our bags. Breakfast the next morning was really nice and the check out process was easy. We would consider returning if in the area again, especially if the maintenance issues were looked at e.g. broken door handle

A fantastic weekend at the Penwig. All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Food and drink in the hotel bar was great and rooms were clean and comfortable Location was also superb for the coastal path

Car park within walking distance to hotel, room lovely and clean, fabulous sea views from the room and resturant, seating inside and out. Resturant does get very busy. Breakfast quite nice. Very friendly staff. Only down side when sitting outside dogs kept barking and owners seemed oblivious, which did spoil the peace.

What an amazing find. We stayed in the family room at the back of the hotel. Spotlessly clean. Beds were SO comfortable. Excellent staff, really welcoming and helpful. Gorgeous food in the hotel and my favorite wine. Hotel is perfectly situated, looking out over the harbour. Beautiful breakfast in the morning too. I will be returning, very impressed.

We made a last minute booking and did not have high expectations. How wrong we were. We arrived at lunchtime. The very friendly manager explained our rooms would not be ready till check in time. He took our cases and locked them away. Advised us where we could park. He booked us a table on the veranda overlooking the harbor. Great meal. Then we walked around the town. Came back and we were taken to what can only be described as a suite. Very clean, fantastic view and very comfortable bed. No fault of the hotel we did not book dinner and unsurprisingly they were very full. They did offer us a table in the back so we decided to try another restaurant and had a great meal elsewhere. Came down for breakfast. The manager helps you choose a great breakfast which unlike other hotels is excellent value for money. We were lucky with the weather which was great but whatever the weather I can very strongly recommend this hotel as being superbly clean, good food and a very friendly team.

Lovely clean room with a great sea view! The shower cubicle was very small (my OH is quite a big chap so it was a squeeze, but he managed)! Really comfortable bed; had the best sleep in ages! Great food and service. The hotel is quite central so a great base for exploring the coastal walks. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Hotel over the Pub on the sea front, Clean lovely room with fantastic views. Yes it was noisy when the pub was open but it doesn’t have a silly late opening times so the noise wasn’t a problem. would stop here again.

Great location, overlooking the beach and harbour, close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Our double seaview room was modern and comfortable, we loved sitting in the arm chairs and watching the harbour. One afternoon, we were lucky and saw the dolphins in the bay.

The hotel was well situated and we had a lovely sea view. It was a little noisy outside at times, particularly in the mornings but to be expected in a seaside location. Overall we couldn't fault it and had a very pleasant stay :)

Picture postcard hotel and restaurant set just above the perfect harbour of New Quay. Marston's pub so the food is standard but decent quality. The staff are cheerful, friendly and caring. The rooms are large and oddly shaped as you would expect for an old building. Warm and comfy bed with plenty of storage space and large bathroom and shower

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and amazing views. Spent 3 hours watching the world go by in our hotel room. Food was delicious and service was world class. I highly recommend visiting

Lovely staff. The sunday roast was one of the best I've had from a restaurant ( & plenty of it ). The sea view was incredible, we actually saw dolphins from our room. There was ample tea/coffee & milk, a large tv but the beds were absolutely incredible, they were so comfortable as was the linen. If I was to stay again in New Quay I would 💯 stay at the Penwig hotel again xx

Lovely clean room with a great sea view! The shower cubicle was very small (my OH is quite a big chap so it was a squeeze, but he managed)! Really comfortable bed; had the best sleep in ages! Great food and service. The hotel is quite central so a great base for exploring the coastal walks. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay in centre on New Quay overlooking the bay. Easy parking during winter months. Great beer on cask hand pull and hearty food. Enjoyed the breakfast.

A fantastic weekend at the Penwig. All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Food and drink in the hotel bar was great and rooms were clean and comfortable Location was also superb for the coastal path

Car park within walking distance to hotel, room lovely and clean, fabulous sea views from the room and resturant, seating inside and out. Resturant does get very busy. Breakfast quite nice. Very friendly staff. Only down side when sitting outside dogs kept barking and owners seemed oblivious, which did spoil the peace.

Fabulous stay at The Penwig hotel. Beautiful location we had a lovely room with stunning sea views. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

Never book the family room. It is right outside a stadium bright spotlight that never turns off at night, it also is directly by the industrial fan that kicks on every 5-10 minutes all night long. Then there’s the beer keg drop off rolling kegs down the concrete at early hours, and the trash pick up. Also the employees hang out the back door pathing lot talking. The room was sweltering hot and despite the fans, we couldn’t open windows at night because of the industrial fan noise and spotlight. The staff were excellent, the room was not! I would stay here again in a different room.
