The beach is just a few houses away. The walk to downtown was only a few minutes and the walk to the train station was about 12 minutes and a 3 minute ride to Salem. We were only there to sleep but it was the perfect spot for just us two

Pros: Cost was reasonable. Scott was available, easy to contact and responded promptly. He lives on site, but was not intrusive. I appreciated the early check-in. The apartment was roomy and location perfect. The neighborhood is nice and a short walk to the beach. Complimentary bottle of wine and bathroom toiletries.Cons: Upon entering I was immediately hit with a strong musty smell. In the kitchen, the cabinet doors were grimy from hand prints and food, the drawers were dusty and had crumbs in them. The refrigerator also had crumbs. The pots were not clean and had to be washed. The bathroom was equally dirty, with grime and rust on and in the tub. The shower enclosure was spotted with water stains and difficult to use. The mirror is a small vintage piece with dim lighting, nearly impossible to use for shaving or makeup. The rest of the apartment was dusty, with cobwebs under and behind the furniture. The floors throughout were not clean, the corners filled with crud. I encountered a huge human hairball under an end table by the couch. Windows could use a cleaning to let the sun in. The Internet was spotty. The air conditioner was so loud we could not use it at night, although it did drown out the noise from the above apartment. Street parking was non-existent, but Scott offered us parking in a garage filled with junk and garbage. It felt sketchy after dark. Overall, the cons outweighed the pros. You get what you pay for. A good cleaning would help this place immensely!

I stayed for four days while at a dance camp at Endicott College. The apartment was lovely, clean, and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The apartment is just a five minute drive from Endicott College, which made it incredibly convenient. I’d love to go back sometime when I’m not as busy because the house is also a 1 minute walk from the beach in a lovely area! If I go back, I will definitely spend more time walking along the coast and enjoying the neighborhood!

I booked this place for a 4 day trip to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. The place was perfect for us - comfortable, quaint, and easily walkable to the beach and to the adorable downtown. We spent half our time in Beverly and the other half in Salem, and I cannot recommend this place enough for a Salem trip! Provided a perfect balance of the Salem tourism and New England seaside small town. Our hosts were incredibly communicative and provided all the comforts of home we needed, including some birthday decor upon our arrival, knowing we were celebrating! We definitely will be back, and would 100% book this property again!!
