Zeer leuk goed hotel. Leuke inrichting van de dormitories. Spijtig dat Spa voor gasten niet inbegrepen is. Zeer prijzig als je gewoon even naar de spa wil.

We had a great a stay at Hotel Spa, Le Germain Charlevoix. A couple things I noticed that were slightly irritating; The hotel has multiple buildings and if you are not staying in the main building there is no room service. There is a Spa Nordique with hot tubs cold plunges and saunas. This is not included in your stay and is a $60 per day fee. The spa is only open from 10am to 6pm (10-8 Fri. & Sat). Many people who stay at the hotel are skiing at the nearby (20-30min) Le Massif, us included. If you end your ski day at 3:30 (closing), get undressed and drive back to the hotel. Realistically you won't be at the spa until 4:30 at the earliest. Thus you only have an 1.5hrs to enjoy the facilities. $60 for 1.5hrs seems a little steep. Keeping the spa open until at least 8pm during the week and 10pm on weekends would make a lot more sense. A discounted rate for hotel guests would also be nice. Room options seem to be geared towards families, bunk beds etc. However the hotel doesn't offer much for kids to do, outside of the swimming pool in the summer only. The spa, for obvious reasons, does not allow kids. Rooms are unique and quite nice however there does seem to be some wear and tear starting to show. Dings and dents in the drywall, missing towel hooks, lights not working and the operable window was sticking, small & poor quality TV. Baie-Saint-Paul is beautiful & very quaint, shops close early 5 or 6pm. Make sure you make dinner reservations, not many options.

Très bel hotel, très chic, très propre mais les chambres sont petites. Coté négatif pour les voitures électriques, il n'y a qu'une seule borne de recharge pour non-Tesla sans aucun contrôle de la part de l'hôtel. De tel sorte qu'une Tesla utilisait la seul borne pour tout notre séjour alors nous avons dû recharger la voiture ailleurs. Pourtant, il y a une dizaine de bornes exclusives à Tesla. L'hôtel devrait avoir un contrôle ... interdiction d'utiliser la borne non-Tesla pour les Tesla, remorquage à vos frais et un maximum d'heure de recharge pour éviter qu'une voiture mobilise la place pour toute une journée. De plus, l'hôtel devrait ajouter plusieurs autres bornes non-Tesla. Il devait y avoir une bonne dizaine de voitures électriques dans le stationnement et tous attendaient en vain. Il y a aussi 2 autres bornes de recharge Porsche ... qui ne peuvent être utilisées que par certaines marques de voiture allemande. Pas vraiment partique pour les autres. Propriétaires du Germain ... réveillez-vous.

The pool area needs a little bit of improvements, such as lunges chairs and some repainting but besides that the all place is great. Cleanliness, staff, restaurant. And what a charming idea to have included a station of the “ petit train du Charlevoix” right in the property! We will come back for sure!

Staff was close to be rude; seemingly staff didn't welcome questions about the ressort, it' facilities. We were placed in a building without lift, and without help to carry suitcases. Rooms are well designed and comfortable. Pool is closed due to lack of staff

We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and overall service. Our main disappointment was the spa. One young man was handling check in, towels, resos, there was no explanation as to how to use the facility/lockers, no tour, etc. He needed help! Hire some more staff! $172!!!

Unique property with comfortable rooms. The more casual restaurant was delicious and lovely. The pool wasn’t open for our stay and the spa pool cost $60 per visit. That made the hotel very expensive for what it was.

On m’a mentionné que si je n’avais pas réservé avec Expedia et plutôt réservé avec l’hôtel directement, considérant que l’hôtel n’était pas plein, j’aurais eu un surclassement au lieu d’être à l’autre bout de l’hôtel face au stationnement. On m’a ensuite indiqué que si je payais 60$ pour avoir accès au spa je pouvais y accéder durant tout mon séjour et lorsque je suis arrivé au spa on m’a indiqué que c’était faux, que je pouvais simplement y aller une fois.

It was my second time staying at this hotel. Very nice resort with a SPA on-site. Massages are a bit pricy, but the thermal experience is affordable and very enjoyable. Our rooms was great, with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. Very good food on-site as well. Lots of Tesla charging stations as well (not sure about other stations). The one thing I would like to see improve at this hotel is the gym (both the size and the equipment). Everything else is perfect, but the gym is terribly disappointing.

The reception staff was pleasant and helpful, especially the concierge persons. The maitre d' service at both restaurants was poor. They, and especially at the La Bercail were very slow and fussing with things the service persons should be doing rather than dealing with seating guests and generally overseeing operations. The restaurant wait staff varied in expertise. The music in both restaurants/hotel was poorly selected. It was all the same beat and somewhat discordant. It should be more varied to reflect different tastes and audiences. The live music in La Bercail was too loud, and not to my taste. English ability varied greatly - so renew your French before going. The food was excellent, and very generous portions. One should definitely do a dinner at Les Labours, where the food is inventive, beautifully presented, fresh (partly from their garden)and full-flavored. The bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were nice. Overall very clean room, and generally very clean throughout the property. Overall a lovely experience.

Bel ensemble hôtelier dans un lieu agréable. Dès notre arrivée l’hôtesse de réception se focalise sur des propositions que nous ne souhaitons pas : proposition d’une suite pour avoir un rdc. car il n'y a pas d'ascenseur. Ensuite elle nous annonce l’impossibilité d’utiliser la piscine sur 2 jours (maintenance des infrastructures). En arrivant dans la chambre d'une hauteur plafond démentielle, nous trouvons dans un tiroir de meuble des vêtements souillés des occupants précédents ? Nous le signalons à l’accueil. Aucune réaction. A notre départ rien n’avait changé. Bonjour l’hygiène sans compter les mouches qui vous perturbent le sommeil et le sèche linge qui fonctionne en dehors des horaires autorisés. LAXISME total du personnel. Les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur. Dommage. Déception !

Stayed for one night to ski at Le Massif. The 3 bed dormitory layout was spacious and perfect for my little family, especially the bathroom with double sinks, and separately enclosed toilet and shower. Friendly reception, bakery on site, easy walk to shops and restaurants, will return!

Les chambres standard sont très standard. Lit moyennement confortable, douche seulement, écran tv petit, pas de balcon,pas de tiroir pour ranger le linge ni de tablettes, seulement deux petits tiroirs sous le lit. L'hôtel est jumelé a la gare et lorsque le train y est c'est très polluant.

We stayed there before a ski day at Le Massif, it was perfect and only 20 minutes drive from the slopes. The best part was that the room had 1 double bed and 2 bunks, which is perfect for family.

The room was cute but small - don’t think that was a queen size bed! The the staff varied from being very helpful to almost surly. No info available about services or the area, which I was expecting to find. The spa personelle are extremely nice and I had a wonderful massage.

Mixed review. Had to really think about this one. I did not realize our building had no elevator. We were on the lower level but had to walk up a ramp to the building and then down two flights of stairs. Also the bed was on a platform which meant that my husband who has mobility issues with neuropathy was compromised at times So pay attention to the building you want. Best part were the cattle and the outdoor patio. Would go back but we have a better idea of what we would request.

The reception staff was pleasant and helpful, especially the concierge persons. The maitre d' service at both restaurants was poor. They, and especially at the La Bercail were very slow and fussing with things the service persons should be doing rather than dealing with seating guests and generally overseeing operations. The restaurant wait staff varied in expertise. The music in both restaurants/hotel was poorly selected. It was all the same beat and somewhat discordant. It should be more varied to reflect different tastes and audiences. The live music in La Bercail was too loud, and not to my taste. English ability varied greatly - so renew your French before going. The food was excellent, and very generous portions. One should definitely do a dinner at Les Labours, where the food is inventive, beautifully presented, fresh (partly from their garden)and full-flavored. The bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were nice. Overall very clean room, and generally very clean throughout the property. Overall a lovely experience.

On m’a mentionné que si je n’avais pas réservé avec Expedia et plutôt réservé avec l’hôtel directement, considérant que l’hôtel n’était pas plein, j’aurais eu un surclassement au lieu d’être à l’autre bout de l’hôtel face au stationnement. On m’a ensuite indiqué que si je payais 60$ pour avoir accès au spa je pouvais y accéder durant tout mon séjour et lorsque je suis arrivé au spa on m’a indiqué que c’était faux, que je pouvais simplement y aller une fois.

This St Germain is a cool looking hotel in a beautiful environment but doesn’t live up to the standards of St Germain or any 4 star hotel. Pros - cool looking - some good design: games area and restaurant is social in the evening, - staff show effort, but Cons - requests to the front desk would disappear into the void - we would wait 30 mins after a simple request and when you call back they have no idea what’s happening - the gym is the worst gym I’ve ever experienced in any hotel, of any quality, ever. They could easily have used the unnecessary rooms next door to expand the gym. It is an embarrassment, especially given the amount of space on the property. - there was a general dismissiveness. I asked for a coffee at breakfast and was told the coffee maker is broken. No offer to get a coffee from the restaurant upstairs, no alternative proposed: it was just “no”. They also sell as a family hotel and have no kids menu. - in general they need more offerings and offers on poor weather days when there’s no skiing (the gym, as set out above, is useless). The skating rink looks stunning on a cold day, but if it’s too warm it turns into a taped off puddle. Why not make it an artificial rink to give people something to do on warmer days? - there is no instruction on anything - you have to figure everything out yourself when you get into your room (and getting into the rooms with lots of luggage is a headache). In general just a bit of a let down.

We stayed over the week-end in Baie St-Paul at this hotel. The room was very nice and clean. It is not particularly big, but it's perfect for a couple. If we were to go back, we would select a room with a view though. In terms of restaurant, we had a lovely dinner at Labours. The food was incredible and the ambiance great, However, I must admit that we were slightly disappointed with the brunch (pastries were not really fresh)

We absolutely loved this property! The farm is gorgeous and the day we arrived a double-rainbow greeted us over the swimming pool. Our room was cozy with a great view over the spa and farm. Our kids loved the bunk beds. Breakfast buffet daily was delicious and we enjoyed the restaurants on site (great kids options). The neighbouring town and beach were also lovely. We would definitely recommend!
