Richard's Motel Extended Stay

Parking spot was 35 steps from the front door of the unit. AC worked great. Shower was great.

Richard’s Motel Extended Stay is distinguished from the several other Richard’s properties by its extensive garden-resort layout and atmosphere. The result is very inviting and relaxing. My room was spacious and very clean. Overall, this motel provided very good value for money.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable with easy access street parking.

Clean room. Very nice grounds with tropical plants and several chairs/tables. Ample parking. Dunkin’ Donuts across the street plus a Russian restaurant next door with take out and groceries. Would have been 5 stars easily but the fan/light in bathroom was very loud and the mattress was comfortable but squeaked every time you moved. I would stay again

The only downside was a very uncomfortable bed. Overall I would recommend for one night but could not have tolerated the bed for another night.

Loved the gardens and the rooms were very cute. It was very clean and had all the convenience we needed.

Very pleased with our stay. Beautiful garden area with a garden swing! Kitchen in the room but absolutely nothing in the kitchen (no pots, spoons, plates, mugs etc.) Very spacious room. They do require a cash deposit on checkin that is returned on checkout.

Beautiful grounds

They have friendly service. The room has a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. They have a community grill to use. I like the fact that you can tune in on the TV to see their security cameras to see your vehicles.

Had to vacate our home due to fumigation tenting for 2or3 -This place was a godsend! Easy and polite check in. Was upgraded to an efficiency- SUPER clean! Everything works and it’s a cute property. I encourage a stay here.

This was a great place to stay on a quick trip to Florida. Very strict check in and out and you need cash for the deposit. Place was clean but definitely needs some updating but you do get what you pay for.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay and that's all that matters to you, this is the place. This is a really old establishment that has had the minimal upkeep and improvements done to it. It's a bare bones room with a small bathroom and kitchen decorated with VERY old furniture covered in throws and very old and worn out linens and blankets. We slept in our clothes and left as early as we could. It served our purpose as a place to crash for 12 hours on our trip south but that was about all I can say for it. It would have been a better experience had the staff been the least bit pleasant. No one said hello when we arrived, no one said have a nice day when we left, no one smiled. Nothing. Everyone just seemed very unhappy and like they hated their jobs. When we first arrived (around 6 PM), the office was empty and locked. There was a phone attached to the wall at the office you had to pick up and it rang somewhere off site, I assume to the owners phone. Very 1970's-ish. It's a very loud neighborhood and next to a busy street. There was a motorcycle going down the road that drowned out the voice of the person on the other end of the phone. Apparently, he asked if I had a reservation and what my name was. When I stated I didn't hear him he yelled. Not in a way that someone would do to raise their voice but rather screaming in impatience because I was wasting his time or something. The place was just like a time capsule with really cranky owner & employees.

My second time at this motel. It's a pleasant place, very clean, very easy check-in / check-out. The apartment I received was spacious and nice, with all working facilities.

The hotel was exceptional. Room was larger than we thought. Just remember there is a $50 cash deposit. They don’t accept cards.

Overall..tho dated, it was very neat and clean!

Service at check in was unpleasant and begrudging. Mattress was covered in thick, noisy plastic that made the bed heat up uncomfortably. There are much better mattress protectors available, using this one is an insult to guests. Heater was extremely loud, even on lowest setting, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Fridge made a loud buzzing noise when the compressor ran, which was surprisingly often for such a small unit. The only good things were the price, and the cats that roam the property.

Bed was very uncomfortable. Only 1 pillow each. Location was ok, didn’t venture out at night but morning wandering was good.

Shawn greeted me with kindness, hospitality and made the check in process quick and easy and set me up with a great room.

Beware of this place. Quite dumpy, and they do NOT allow any visitors. They kicked us out (!!!) 15 minutes after checking in, because we had a friend stopping by, claiming "no visitors allowed". Extremely rude front desk wouldn't listen to any arguments.

Hostess not amicabke. There is no place to leave luggage whether you arrive earlier or leave late. YZou cannot check in earlier if you arrive in an early and long flight eventhough walk-in arrivals can do so.

This is a tight run ship here. It is very clean with honest house cleaners who make sure the floors never have that ick feeling. Lucia is very thoughtful, patient, honest and reliable and makes the check in process a breeze. She also ensures that there are no loud noises late so you can get the sleep you need.

Management lack empathy for guests. They moved me to another building of this chain motelgar from where I needed to be and management did not allow me to check-in till 4:00PM in spite of me explaining that I had been travelling for over 12 hrs and that I am a senior lady (70). However walk-ins were allowed to check-in and get the room right in tne minute. They just carr about the money.

Wouldn’t even let me check in!!! They sent me an email saying check-in is at 3:00pm, in American English, plain as day. Zero room for interpretation. When I arrived, I was greeted with a locked door and waiting outside in the heat until the front desk attendant decided to come to the door, and declared to me that check in as 4:00pm. Entire point was a printout of a text message she got from her boss… while I’m showing her an ACTUAL EMAIL, sent via the hotels.com service, from the property, stating “check in at 3:00pm.” Then she shuts the door in my face. And they have the audacity to deny a refund? Maybe don’t let your mistakes and process errors be the customer’s fault? And maybe Hotels.com shouldn’t stand behind absentee providers? Try that out. Enjoy the chargeback.

Spect the lady, the receptionist who also claim to be the property mgr to be rude and dismissive. The rooms and cleanliness are ok

The staff was super friendly, the check in was amazing. The room was super cute and the bathroom was beautiful! I highly recommend this motel!

Close to all activities

The place was clean and quiet. just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. We were only there for 1 night. but it was a good stay.

Near Hallandale BLVD. So we can walk to the beach, stores and restaurants.

Small nice area with accessibility to shops and restaurants.
