last minute booking was pretty pricy and unfortunately you don’t get what you pay for. almost $200 for one night at a very very run down hotel. The staff were super friendly, but this place needs to be knocked down. Very outdated and just overall dirty. pool area is very dark, cold water and still has carpet (sauna was out of order). Room was decently clean, but some stains on curtains, sheets, shower curtains and even the walls. The air conditioning didn’t work in our room so the temp never got below 70 degrees and all the AC did was make a bunch of different noises that kept us up until 2 am until I finally just shut it off. (Being 7 months pregnant that was truly a sacrifice ). Good enough for one night, but def should not have been charged more than $100 for that experience. Please please knock this place down and rebuild!!

The lobby did have an odor as others have posted in reviews but the room was fine. The toilet was so low to the floor it was nearly unusable for someone with knee issues, almost like it was made for a child. For this reason we would not stay there again. No elevator for 2nd floor. It was quiet, comfortable and plenty of room. The items available for breakfast were not kept full. OJ was out, not enough milk available for cereal.

We spent two nights before and after an event that we attended in Maine about an hour away. It was the off season, so business was slow. So slow, in fact, that we joked we were at Bates Motel(perhaps only understood by the baby boomers)because no one was there. But the facility was clean, updated, nice pool, and very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend.

The room was ok. No elevator. Bathroom bath tub was felty durty and around. They need to do better job with the bathtub. I told them and they said they cleaned it but that doesnt look clean to me. That why you have special cleaning supplies for the tub. Service was ok. You have to press a botton for you to be able to see some one. Breafast was ok. Simple things.

When we first drove to the property we thought it was abandoned. The front of the building is closed with signs all over doors. The carpets smelled horrible. Everything is old and outdated. Certainly not worth the price they charge for one night.

I went to go in the pool there was an old stagnant rug as the flooring in the pool room. You could tell there was no chemicals added to the pool everything seemed unhygienic

The bathroom was in need of a deep clean (a dirty towel from the previous guest was left hanging on the door, the toilet needed cleaning and the tub needed cleaning); it almost looked like it had been completely overlooked when the room was cleaned. The breakfast buffet was standard faire but the coffee was hot and there were multiple selections of food to choose from.

The rooms were dirty- we switched rooms due to dirty comforter and the second one also had dirty blankets. The hotel had a strong odor and the continental breakfast was limited in food and poor in quality also the hotel sent me 10 emails and is still re this reservation even though I checked out - just bad

The bathroom was dirty, the shower had soap scum all over it and the toilet had broken caulking around the bottom. It was dusty and the rugs by the edges were dirty.

Definitely could’ve been a better stay. The walls are super thin and our room kept getting so humid, even with the AC on. Had to open the window. Unfortunately didn’t realize til this morning before we left that the whole bottom of the curtains had mold.

AC/room has extremely moldy smell. The comforters had blood stain, footprint, and other unknown stains. Took 2 attempts to change rooms. First time was given a room that was still not cleaned yet (messy bed). Facilities were very outdated(old and dirty). Wouldnt recommend

Nothing about this property looked like it had been maintained in over a decade. It could be mistaken for an abandoned ghost town relic, except the general smell of the place was far too freshly bad to be abandoned. There are subway corners in New York that are better cared for and cleaner.

Rug was filthy I didn’t want to take my shoes off. Room smelled like stale smoke, air conditioner was so noisy, and different kinds of noise. Bed spread had stains on it, bedside lamp was dusty with cob webs. TV remote so sticky I didn’t want to touch it. Coffee pot in room didn’t work.

Very clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. The location is very close to hiking and recreation. This appears to be an older property, which was refurbished. While the exterior looks a tad dreary, the rooms are clean and well furnished. Great value.

I reserved a king suite . There were 2 rooms, 1 with a king size bed & the other room had 2 queen size beds. There was no seating area other than 2 wooden chairs with small table. It has been my experience that a suite usually has Couch, chair and desk or table not sleeping for six unless stated. There was barely any walking space let alone storage . That being said, they did a nice job renovating property.

Upon arrival, no working internet (and I was there for business). Fortunately, mgr was helpful and fixed it in short time, but after that, the toilet overflowed and no one responded to calls. Also, I noted an unpleasant smell in lobby and corridors. Fortunately not in rm itself. No housekeeping service during day.

Our stay here was overall not bad. The location is definitely a highlight, White Lake Beach is within walking distance and access is only $5 per person, which made it very convenient. That said, there are areas that need improvement. The sauna wasn’t working during our stay, housekeeping could have been better, and the breakfast was very plain. The property itself could use some upkeep and a little more attention to detail. All in all, it wasn’t a bad experience, but with some updates and better service it could be a much stronger option for future guests.

Quick access off of route 16 in Tamworth. Came here to see a show at Barnstormers Theater.. Used to live in the area years ago.. 30 minutes up the road is North Conway.. for shopping and dining and of course winter sports! Will probably come back here because of the convenience and how clean and comfy my room was.

Our stay was fine. We were disappointed by the free continental breakfast because it was just premade foods to heat and eat or take and go. You can make waffles and pancakes but no eggs, sausage or bacon like most comparable places have.

Our first room smelled very bad with cigarette smoke mixed with some aroma so we requested a room change which they quickly did for us. This issue is ironic since there's a large sign at check-in that says you'll be fined $150 for smoking in your room. Waffles for breakfast were very good but there wasn't any prepared hot food like eggs or bacon available. Our son said he will pick our next motel.

This hotel is a lil old but still a good place to stay, reception employee is wonderful, he is helpful, kind and funny. My room was quite despite it was right next to the stairs, it was not super spacious but it was comfortable, everything was clean except for minor stains here and there. Now things i did dislike are: 1- i found a dead bed bug on one of the wall. 2- their breakfast is not the best, it's something you can snack on not get nutrition from. This hotel is smoke free, but some guests just enjoy breaking the rules and making others uncomfortable. But overall for the price it was a good stay and i would be back here if i needed to in the future.

Old run down hotel with 1980s carpeting. Stayed teo nights. Came back and maid threw out bedding back up to the pillows. Breakfast was a joke. The restaurant is closed on site. You had cereal or waffle maker with one kind of yogurt. Restaurant closed due to what I can only imagine was a health inspection unannounced. Do not stay in Tamworth. Go to North Conway for the real hotels!
