The beach view was perfect. Very friendly front desk staff. Indoor and outdoor pool were great. Can easily walk to many locations.

Great property! Rooms were comfortable and clean. The indoor pools were a great reprieve from a cold fall weekend for the kids to get some energy out. The sunset and sunrise across the street was the best. Really cute decor and super clean!

This was nice, but not a relaxing place to stay. It is very family friendly so there are screaming kids everywhere. The pools and hot tubs were packed with kids from open to close. The beach across the street is beautiful!

The Anchorage is a MUST stay. Resort has 3 pools, a hot tub, gym, bar area and is right across the street from the most beautiful Long Sands Beach.

Hotel was extrelemly clean. Room was modern with a mini fridge. The ocean is directly across the street and you can see the waves crashing from most rooms in the resort. The bed was hard as a rock. There are 4 different buildings with rooms. We stayed in the building with the long skinny pool. It was bigger than pictures suggest but no hot tub or changing rooms near this pool. The only other indoor pool is located in the reception building which requires walking outside across the lot to reach. This also was small and had a small hot tub. We went in January so it was freezing cold to walk outside in your bathing suit. The outdoor pool had a waterslide and looked amazing for summer. Overall nice hotel, beautiful room, amazing views but uncomfrtable sleep and i hate hotels where you have to walk across parking lots to access the pools. It was very cheap. Also no dinner dining options on site.

King bed in accessible room atrium 339 was so soft we sunk into holes making sleep and getting out of difficult. Needs replacement. Outdoor pool and hot tub tiles above the water line were disgustingly dirty. Need to be scrubbed. Disappointed for cost of stay. Access to beach is great.

We've been staying there for years, always goor to be back. Should be a time specifically for adults in pool and hottubs.

The hallway smelled like mildew. The bed vibrated when the air conditioner was running, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Several of the staff seemed rather stressed out, their tone and abrupt nature with customers was off putting, it left me feeling like I shouldn’t trouble the with any questions of concerns.

Hotel was very clean. Staff so kind beach views were fantastic . I would with out a doubt come back

Property is on ocean, only thing nice. Be aware, I booked my stay on a third-party site and paid in full, this included the stay and air fare. When I arrived, was asked for credit card for security deposit. After checking out, I reviewed my card statement I was charged again for room. When I called to find out why, I was told person at desk hit the wrong button, and my money was going to be returned. This 'Mistake' repeated when I asked my sister to check her card her, she found another charge on her card too, they also stated this was a mistake, and refunded her. If you stay at this place, don't trust them, check your card after your stay. Bring your own chair, there aren't any in the rooms, at least not in the Atrium. Last thing, bring roach spray, when I would turn on bathroom light at night, roaches would scatter. Sorry, I really wanted to like this place, but this is all true, I will never stay there again! York Maine is perfect New England and should be enjoyed.

Great access to the beach. Property was neat and well decorated. The rug in the room had several large stains.

Place is on Ocean, Thats what I liked. Bring your own chair, there are none in rooms. Bring your own bug spray, roaches would scatter when I would turn on bathroom light at night. When I was asked for a credit card for security deposit, it was charged again full price for room. When I called and asked why, I was told clerk hit wrong button, and money would be returned. My sister was there at the same time, her card had an extra charge also and would be refunded. In my opinion, if you stay here, check your credit card after you stay. I would never stay there again!

The hotel was very clean inside and out. The beds were awful! About as comfortable as sleeping on the floor, but everything else was GREAT!

Room was so old, both sinks were clogged, slow drain. Sofa and carpet were dirty.

When my husband and I went to get into bed, I noticed the bedsheets looked used, so I pulled the blankets back and found all kinds of nasty hair all over the sheets and my pillow. when I called down for new linen I ended up having to make my own bed at 10:30pm at All they could say when I emailed them was I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, but please give us another chance to earn your trust back. This is not a cheap Hotel, but When you pay any money at all at a hotel, you expect to have clean sheets and a clean room to go into. It’s not too much to ask that is what housekeeping gets paid for.

The building we were in was the newer building. Very clean with a third floor balcony ocean view. Small refrigerator and small microwave for very convenient. The bed was very comfortable! Definitely would come back here.

Noisy room…. Talking and yelling from the hallway was a bit too much. Sound came through walls and door too easily. Nice room… but the noise didn’t provide an atmosphere of privacy.

The property was nice and the room was clean. We stayed in the queen room with an ocean view, which was lovely. The mattress was way too firm and the room could use some updating (i.e., new chairs/table, fix up some dings in the bathroom, replace the bathroom door so it will stay closed, etc.).

Great property! Right across from the ocean. The room was clean and staff was friendly. However, we stayed in the main building and the walls and floors are paper thin. The guests beside us were so loud, as well as the guests above us. We would come again, but stay in a different building on an upper floor.

The room was clean but smaller than expected.Bathroom was Teeny. The location was excellent on York Beach. We got up early most mornings to watch the sun produce a gorgorus sunrise.

Location is great but rooms are primitive by today’s standards. Bathrooms sre tiny and right out of the 1970s. Not worth $350 a night

Was in a room that had adjoining room access thonwe did not ask for it, but you coupd hear their child screaming conatantly all.night. Thin walls in those type of rooms.so got little sleep.

Nice place, great view of the water; however the room is very small, the bathroom is tiny, have to get between the tub & toilet to shut the door. The bed & pillows were rock hard. Made my whole body hurt so much, had to leave early & lost $150😟

Great access to beach and York's amenities, however the hotel leaves the overall experience lacking. Constant noise through all hours of the night, shabby and damaged decor, poor wifi and a visibly burnt out staff are all reasons to avoid the Anchroage and consider other higher quality hotel options in the area.

We have been staying here pretty regularly for almost thirty years. It's a reliable option when visiting York. This is the first time I have ever had to request cleaning services. This is not an inexpensive place to stay. The number of posted "rules" and guidelines are overdone. Finally, the service at the check in desk is perfunctory at best.

BEWARE!!!! The front office leaves A LOT to be desired...upon check- in the girl tells me she needs me to pay up front and says I will get a receipt when I check out in 2 days. I was ok with that until I checked out and was in a roundabout way was scolded for booking with a third party and told I need to get a receipt from Expedia (?) umm but I paid with you, and I need a receipt please let me speak with a manager/supervisor. Well, the woman behind the wall from the front desk who couldn't take the time to show her face says loudly...The receipt comes from whoever they booked with. REALLY? How unprofessional can you be lady?? The parking was HORRIFYING. When I checked in and asked about where to park the girl shrugged her shoulders at me!!! She said wherever. What kind of answer is that? Had to park way behind the building and walk a great distance to my outdated room. NEVER told there was an elevator, NO water pressure in the shower, no housekeeping during the entire stay. The restaurant across the street not only is overpriced ($35.00 for a lobster roll - seriously?) the food was disgusting. The bartender couldn't make a decent drink with just two lousy ingredients. Oh, and the cafe attached to the front office has the most outrageous prices EVER - $8.50 for two tiny bags of potato chips and another clueless girl working that counter who knows nothing also. The only positive thing I could say was the bed was firm in the tiny room.Save your money folks and stay elsewhere!

We had a wedding in the area. The front desk did everything they could for us to get early check in so we could change before the Friday afternoon wedding. That was greatly appreciated. Kadion was thoughtful and extremely helpful

We stayed for 4 nights. We enjoyed the sun deck and frozen drinks. Most of the staff were unfriendly. In our 4 day stay, only 2 members said hello or offered a smile. If you stay in a first floor room, just know that you may have children up at early hours of the morning.

Friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful property right across from the beach. Consistently clean, and good service we stay here whenever we are visiting York Beach.

Yesterday I stayed at the ocean sweets in room 371 the room and view were amazing but we were disappointed and angry when the room next to us woke us up at midnight partying and talking loudly. I contacted the front desk shortly afterwards and was told security would come which they never did. We weren't able to go back to sleep until after 2 due to how loud it was. I was disappointed that we were told one that someone was going to come to fix the issue but they didn't, id expect more especially for the price of the hotel room. If it wasn't for that our 16 year anniversary would have been perfect.

Originally checked in and was given an older room (I had booked ocean view and apparently those rooms in that building haven’t been upgraded in quite some time). While that that room was relatively clean it had a strong smell of bleach/chemicals and felt damp. I didn’t feel it was worth the price at all. Kadion at the front desk was very helpful and kind and relocated us to a newly renovated room in the next building. Location is excellent to the beach and it is walkable to town. Parking is easy.

Staff is very friendly. Whenever we needed something, all we had to do is call and they would bring it. Our experience was wonderful. Will definitely go back next year.

Would be great if families are put on lower levels. Service at "bar" was not great. Person serving did not understand what was being asked.

Weve been coming here for over 15 years. Always a wonderful stay. Beach across the street! The rooms are clean, the offer a variety of rooms. We love the breakfast across the street Sun and sand!

The room that I got did NOT look like the pictures at all. We had no microwave, which was annoying. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a hardwood floor covered with a thin blanket. The indoor pool was not only freezing, but the water was brown in the pool and the hot tub. The staff was dismissive and clearly couldn’t care less. They also advertised an included full continental breakfast, that was not the case. When we checked in, we did confirm that the breakfast was included in the room that I bought. That was in fact a lie. We went the next morning to get breakfast, only to find out that you have to pay for it if you’re not staying in the suites. The view was amazing, and that was probably about the only good thing about it. I would not recommend. I will not be returning.

I think overall it was decent. The desk staff could have had less attitude and they were fairly rigid. I think price was high for time of year and what the room actually was. The room was fine but the pictures online far outshine the actual. We had a used towel hanging as well. I wasn’t impressed by their restaurant across the street. The pools and pool staff were excellent. Inside they could use manners.

Fun convenient location with pleasant staff and nice pool and hot tub. Restaurant too expensive and not very tasty. We enjoyed our stay and easy access to the beach.

While i was booking it showed me breakfast option i added for 2 persons when i went back asked the front desk there is no breakfast option and they couldn't see anything in their system.

We had a very enjoyable two-night stay, the room was excellent and we felt very relaxed. Everything was very clean. The pool area is nice, and the restaurant associated with the hotel is superb.
