We had a suite, but when we shower, the noise from the pipes were loud and can be heard from the bedroom and living room. Room 1703. Also the housekeeping was slow, service was slow. Bad experience for a 5 star hotel.

Room was beautiful, serene and clean. Location was perfect with access to many different malls. Staff were polite and friendly, overall a fantastic stay!

Overall, it was a nice stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. I was there with my family. The hotel's proximity to the Taikoo mall was very convenient. What I found a bit sub par for a world renowned 5 star is the communication. There was some email exchanges with request for a restaurant booking but in the end, the booking was not done correctly. I recently had a similar request at the Rosewood Bangkok and everything was much more professional. The design of the day sheer curtain was also abit odd, leaving it looking very shabby for a lux hotel. Light switches was also quite frustrating to use. The pool is mediocre. Other than that, it's fine.
