We got to Pittsburgh at 2pm and tried to check in. Interrupted attendant (busy scrolling), who advised no rooms were ready and check in was 3pm. Hilton Honors apparently does ‘not’ have its perks. Came back at 3, first room came complete with poop residue in the bowl and had a couple curly hairs and an actual moving bug on the sheets (under the bed spread). Moved us down a floor. No issues, room clean. Left for a couple hours, came back, neither my key card nor my wife’s allowed us to open the door, though the light turned green. Went downstairs, was informed the cards ‘will’ work, just need to lift up on the handle instead of the traditional pushing down. Reason: many of the door handles were installed upside down… what?? Couple we travelled with, came back from concert, their room would not open - had to have manager let them in room. Next morning, though not ready to leave at 8am, they were had to bring luggage down because they knew it would be a hassle to get back into their room after breakfast. Long story long (sorry) - this hotel is not worth the trouble until they fix multiple issues. Great area, so there’s that!!

Hotel with everything you would want, including coin laundry, breakfast, indoor pool and workout room. It is located by a beautiful walking trail along the river. Across the street are many restaurants and shopping including Costco.

Hotel needs an update overall. Lobby and lounge are well maintained, but the rest of the hotel needs some serious attention. Our room needs to have the cracked bathroom sink and damaged mirror replaced. Carpet in the room and hallway looks like its never been cleaned. Furniture is heavily nicked. Beds were ok. Pillows were like sleeping on an oversized marshmallow. Breakfast was eatable and plentiful. I was excited about using the pool until I could smell the chlorine all the way to the lobby. Highlights: coffee bar and the back patio overlooking the river. It is convenient to plenty of shopping and eating options.
