Considering the Budget Price (100 to 140 range during high season), Lumberman's was an OK Choice. The Check-in was kind of annoying. You fill out an on-line form that doesn't say that you have to then walk around the property to get your key at the Restaurant, where you have more paperwork. The room was clean and as advertised with a GREAT BIG Screen TV. But the King Bed was lumpy and sagging left, right and center! Not good. The chairs and dinette and the cramped outdoor seating in front of the room, was just OK. The basic kitchen worked except for the coffee maker. The Shower Flow was outstanding...a real back pounding after a long day outside. Nice. The Restaurant on property has LOUD Rockin' music and screaming kids....but it all quieted down to nothing by nine pm. No problem. Friendly Staff was a plus. The Big Fish Plate I had was very good, as were the beer and liquor prices. The 'New School Backyard Brew Pub Scene', with the cornhole, firepits, grassy expanse and tall trees all around was great. So overall, if comfort is your thing, I would look elsewhere. But if you want an affordable and central Lake/Pine location where you can walk to the bar this may be just the thing.

Loved this property. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The rooms were very clean and neat. Huge plus to have a restaurant/ bar near the room. Overall amazing stay we really enjoyed it! Definitely will be returning!

Nice neat little get away, clean with libations near by. Check in was a little confusing at first. Side note: Could have used some hanger space like a small closet to hang shirts and jackets. Also room 6-8 are backed up against Long Wong's bar and restaurant. If your looking for quite you will have to wait till 10 pm when they close. Parking when long wongs is open is hard, patrons park in the cabin parking area making it difficult to get to your room cabin if you are in cabin 6-8.

Main office was closed on Tuesday, I had called Expedia to get access to room. I think better direction should be provided to call the contact when the office is closed . In addition the WIFI in my room wasn't strong enough to allow access

It felt like a home away from home! Loved that there were plates and cups and silverware to use, and a toaster! There were grills outside too. Fireplace is gas and easy to use. Bed was comfortable. Smart TV was nice too! Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Quiet room even though it was close to a main road. Surrounded by pine trees and a stones throw from the lake. We were greeted by Canada geese and goslings each morning. Restaurant and bar on the grounds! Very kind staff! Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here 8/9-10/2024 & let me start by saying this place is so easy to find & close to everything. There was a band at the bar but I couldnt hear anything! The room was clean & had the necessary items we needed. No stove but there are 2 BBQ for use outside. While there I killed 2 little black spiders 1 in my pajamma bottoms but other then that I would highly recommend staying here. Check in is at the restaurant & the staff was friendly. I felt safe there with my daughter. You guy's gotta check this place out & the price is right on the money. Thank you for a safe, clean, comfortable place . Tina D..

I did not appreciate having a porch that faced a huge dirt parking lot for the Bar & Grill next door. We were unable to sit outside for all the dust and dirt kicked up every evening by all the cars and trucks that parked everywhere. The place has been newly renovated...But the bath was dangerous getting in and out of and extremely slippery. It's a fall waiting to happen. There was no designated parking for the rooms. You had to compete with the bar and on a busy night, you may have to park half a block away. It's an okay place for needing a nights rest and then moving on the next day...Otherwise, not a pleasant vacation spot. We also had some smart alecky bar worker be extremely rude to us (bar and grill is owned by the same person as the rooms) when we asked to look at the t-shirts. He was just plain mean and nasty.

I always stay here on my work trips. Cabins are clean & cozy! WiFi is great and have never had an issues here. I prefer to support the locals vs corporate entities. They have a nice little restaurant that serves great food. (Dine in or take out). Everyone is very friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of.

Arrived and missed the low-key sign for where to check in. We went to the restaurant and asked and the waitress checked us in. Our cabin-style, carpeted room was a spacious studio with queen bed, fireplace, table, sofa, kitchen sink, microwave, toaster, refrigerator and bathroom. We had a front porch with outdoor chairs and small table. It was fun watching the geese family feeding on the lawn in front. We later learned the geese are everywhere in Lakeside, so watch your step as you are likely to walk in green goose-poop. It's all over. Our room seemed clean until further inspection. Somebody's panties were wedged between the bed and side-table. Kitchen dishes and cutlery didn't look clean. Otherwise, it was okay. Probably wouldn't stay there again, though.

The lady that helped up was very helpful and kind. The cabin is very cute and a great location. There was black sediment (like sand) coming out with the water so I would suggest taking water bottles or jugs to brush teeth and cook

The location was great. Even though it is right off the highway the sound of cars and trucks was not noticeable. I liked its location to other surrounding places to visit. A couple things I would have liked - a. black widow spider in kitchen sink cabinet. b. - cobwebs in corner by sink. c. mysterious rocks fell from cabinet on to kitchen flooring under the cabinet. Could have been a little forest friend. Otherwise the room and beds were clean and comfortable. These little things just hung out all winder I'm sure.

The cabin is cute altho older. It is obvious that they have invested some improvements; the bathroom was so cute and the kitchen was updated. The beds were comfortable. The only concern was a dripping bathtub...didn't bother us except that water usage is so important to us in AZ....it was a shame to see that constant drip. Check in at the restaurant was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful and walked us to our cabin and explained the air conditioner. Check out was even easier. The TV is loaded with streaming services. The place could use some new pillows. But for the age of these cabins and that they have obviously been updated, and the price - it was a comfortable night's stay. Thanks so much!

The cabin is cute altho older. It is obvious that they have invested some improvements; the bathroom was so cute and the kitchen was updated. The beds were comfortable. The only concern was a dripping bathtub...didn't bother us except that water usage is so important to us in AZ....it was a shame to see that constant drip. Check in at the restaurant was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful and walked us to our cabin and explained the air conditioner. Check out was even easier. The TV is loaded with streaming services. The place could use some new pillows. But for the age of these cabins and that they have obviously been updated, and the price - it was a comfortable night's stay. Thanks so much!

Loved this property. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The rooms were very clean and neat. Huge plus to have a restaurant/ bar near the room. Overall amazing stay we really enjoyed it! Definitely will be returning!

Nice neat little get away, clean with libations near by. Check in was a little confusing at first. Side note: Could have used some hanger space like a small closet to hang shirts and jackets. Also room 6-8 are backed up against Long Wong's bar and restaurant. If your looking for quite you will have to wait till 10 pm when they close. Parking when long wongs is open is hard, patrons park in the cabin parking area making it difficult to get to your room cabin if you are in cabin 6-8.

Main office was closed on Tuesday, I had called Expedia to get access to room. I think better direction should be provided to call the contact when the office is closed . In addition the WIFI in my room wasn't strong enough to allow access

I always stay here on my work trips. Cabins are clean & cozy! WiFi is great and have never had an issues here. I prefer to support the locals vs corporate entities. They have a nice little restaurant that serves great food. (Dine in or take out). Everyone is very friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of.

The lady that helped up was very helpful and kind. The cabin is very cute and a great location. There was black sediment (like sand) coming out with the water so I would suggest taking water bottles or jugs to brush teeth and cook

Considering the Budget Price (100 to 140 range during high season), Lumberman's was an OK Choice. The Check-in was kind of annoying. You fill out an on-line form that doesn't say that you have to then walk around the property to get your key at the Restaurant, where you have more paperwork. The room was clean and as advertised with a GREAT BIG Screen TV. But the King Bed was lumpy and sagging left, right and center! Not good. The chairs and dinette and the cramped outdoor seating in front of the room, was just OK. The basic kitchen worked except for the coffee maker. The Shower Flow was outstanding...a real back pounding after a long day outside. Nice. The Restaurant on property has LOUD Rockin' music and screaming kids....but it all quieted down to nothing by nine pm. No problem. Friendly Staff was a plus. The Big Fish Plate I had was very good, as were the beer and liquor prices. The 'New School Backyard Brew Pub Scene', with the cornhole, firepits, grassy expanse and tall trees all around was great. So overall, if comfort is your thing, I would look elsewhere. But if you want an affordable and central Lake/Pine location where you can walk to the bar this may be just the thing.

Great getaway for a couple nights. The room had everything we needed, and extra nice to have a decent size fridge and a stove with an oven. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Bathroom was great. Room was clean overall. It could use a good cleaning on doors and baseboards, but it was fine. Price was right, views were nice, and room back far enough from main road that traffic was only soft background noise at night. We weren’t there on a weekend, so that might make a difference with road noise.

I stayed here 8/9-10/2024 & let me start by saying this place is so easy to find & close to everything. There was a band at the bar but I couldnt hear anything! The room was clean & had the necessary items we needed. No stove but there are 2 BBQ for use outside. While there I killed 2 little black spiders 1 in my pajamma bottoms but other then that I would highly recommend staying here. Check in is at the restaurant & the staff was friendly. I felt safe there with my daughter. You guy's gotta check this place out & the price is right on the money. Thank you for a safe, clean, comfortable place . Tina D..

The location was great. Even though it is right off the highway the sound of cars and trucks was not noticeable. I liked its location to other surrounding places to visit. A couple things I would have liked - a. black widow spider in kitchen sink cabinet. b. - cobwebs in corner by sink. c. mysterious rocks fell from cabinet on to kitchen flooring under the cabinet. Could have been a little forest friend. Otherwise the room and beds were clean and comfortable. These little things just hung out all winder I'm sure.

It’s lovely here at Lakeside in the little cabin with fireplace, kitchen, little eating nock with a full mini refrigerator We are currently sitting on the front porch of our cabin enjoying an evening beverage. We simply love being here enjoying the fresh air, pine trees, lake and mountains. Everything one needs to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the pines. Every evening at about 17PM and again at 7AM a flock of geese fly by while we sit outside enjoying a quiet moment reviewing our daily adventures and talking to family about our upcoming visits to see them. Truely memorable moments which will have to be repeated next time we visit this area. The area reminds us of our home in Denmark. We will definately recommend it to our American family and friends.

I enjoy the cabins, the environment and the restaurant is great. Cabin is always clean, cozy - with fresh flowers waiting which is a great touch. Staff is always helpful with anything you need.

I did not appreciate having a porch that faced a huge dirt parking lot for the Bar & Grill next door. We were unable to sit outside for all the dust and dirt kicked up every evening by all the cars and trucks that parked everywhere. The place has been newly renovated...But the bath was dangerous getting in and out of and extremely slippery. It's a fall waiting to happen. There was no designated parking for the rooms. You had to compete with the bar and on a busy night, you may have to park half a block away. It's an okay place for needing a nights rest and then moving on the next day...Otherwise, not a pleasant vacation spot. We also had some smart alecky bar worker be extremely rude to us (bar and grill is owned by the same person as the rooms) when we asked to look at the t-shirts. He was just plain mean and nasty.

As we walked up to enter our room, I thought I had made a mistake booking with Lumbermens Village. The exterior needed to be hosed down and cob webs swept off. But...we opened the door to a large, clean room with 2 chairs, a large TV, and a kitchette. And our king size bed was so comfortable! Plus, we enjoyed a rib dinner and blackberry sangrias at the restaurant on site. We would stay there again.

We booked Lumbermen's Village because of the 9.5/10 "Best Loved" rating on Hotels.com and the reviews praising its cleanliness. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing like that. Check-in took nearly an hour because there was no clear direction on where to go, and the process didn't match what was described online. While waiting, we sat in the restaurant area, which looked dirty enough to confirm we wouldn't eat there. The cabin looked fine at first, but the kitchenware was filthy. We found lipstick on glasses, stained dishes, and food stuck to utensils. We ended up buying disposable plates and silverware and I washed the dishes before using them. The sheets were heavily pilled and didn't feel clean, making it difficult to sleep. By the second night, we were so uncomfortable that we checked out a day early. We booked a kitchen to reheat meal-prepped food, but the microwave barely worked. One meal took nearly 9 minutes and still wasn't hot. The walls were very thin, and although the rooms are advertised as non-smoking, the guests next to us smoked marijuana. The smell came into our room through the adjoining window/vent. We didn't report these issues because check-in had already cost us nearly an hour, and we didn't want to spend our short vacation waiting for someone every time another problem came up. The "9.5/10 Best Loved" rating and cleanliness reviews were very misleading. We would not stay here again.

The sheets were heavily pilled and didn't feel clean, making it difficult to sleep. By the second night, we were so uncomfortable that we checked out a day early. We booked a kitchen to reheat meal-prepped food, but the microwave barely worked. One meal took nearly 9 minutes and still wasn't hot. The walls were very thin, and although the rooms are advertised as non-smoking, the guests next to us smoked marijuana. The smell came into our room through the adjoining window/vent. We didn't report these issues because check-in had already cost us nearly an hour, and we didn't want to spend our short vacation waiting for someone every time another problem came up. The "9.5/10 Best Loved" rating and cleanliness reviews were very misleading. We would not stay here again.
