Auberge/Chalet Griffon Aventure

This was not an Auberge (inn)! It was basically a campsite with a few cabins which were quite overpriced for a place that didn’t even have running water and was occupied by a family of mice that would play drums in the ceiling, “kitchen cabinets” and almost everywhere! Don’t let me start on the state of toilets/bathrooms that were miles away from our “cabin” and there were only 4 of them for the entire property!!

1 night on a solo motorcycle trip. Convenient.

Close to the ocean.

We had a very nice seaview from the cabin Le Trappeur and we could hear the surf on the beach from our bed.

Although it says auberge and cabins in the name it is a bit of a misnomer as it is really more like a campsite and hostel. We were surprised that our chalet did not have a bathroom. We knew after booking that there was no potable water and had to bring our own or purchase on site. Although we were told this we did not know that bathrooms and showers were communal. Beautiful surroundings but just be sure that you are looking for more of a ‘camping’ experience and not one of a hotel or auberge
