Coming into the parking lot we were a bit thrown off as the area looked shady, and it was not right on the lake like the picture showed. It was across the busy street from the lake, with a small section for motel use. However, we were not dissappointed at all, as the room ended up being surprisingly fantastic! It was clean, modern, the floors were nice, it had a big roku tv and the beds very comfortable. The coffee pods were a nice touch! The AC was very loud, but we appreciated that the room was cold. There was some noise from the highway but the conveniance of the location close to everything made up for it. There is a nice long walking path around the lake steps away from motel, with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The only thing we suggest is to change the bathroom light bulb from dim yellow to bright white... it was very dark and hard to see in there!! Also, we noticed the peddle boat in the lake area that said silver maple motel on it. It had one peddle missing and wasn't maintained so we didn't even inquire, but we would have loved to use it!! We liked our stay at Silver Maple very much and would stay here again when passing through Haliburton!!

This premises is an older but well cared for motel. The rooms were very clean. There is no pool, but the motel has a small dock with paddle boat at the lake across the street. Very refreshing on a hot day. The lady at check in was and pleasent friendly.

The official check in was 3pm, but due to a hockey tournament fornour kids and us having our dof with me. Silver maple notel let us check in at 11am. What was amazing. The room is great, pet friendly and clean.

Beautiful view right across from Head Lake. The motel has their own dock and paddleboat to use. Close walk to downtown dining or shopping etc. Great location.

We checked in late at night, the lady was very pleasant. Our problem was the parking lot lighting. Our curtains did not completely cover the window and we certainly didn't need any inside lights to get up and ready at 4am, the outside light was more than enough. There were very large spiders scurrying around which - although we are not scared of them - its not comfortable going to sleep when the last thing you see is a black spider the size of a loonie cross your pillow! if I stayed again, I would bring large cans of RAID

Good beds. Hot shower. Thank you. Needs better lighting over the bathroom sink/vanity. Floor should be washed after each guest checks out. Some junk visible outside past the trash bins

There is a nice long walking path around the lake steps away from motel, with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The only thing we suggest is to change the bathroom light bulb from dim yellow to bright white... it was very dark and hard to see in there!! Also, we noticed the peddle boat in the lake area that said silver maple motel on it. It had one peddle missing and wasn't maintained so we didn't even inquire, but we would have loved to use it!! We liked our stay at Silver Maple very much and would stay here again when passing through Haliburton!!

This room was clean and spacious, and everything was in working order. It was a little pricey for a very basic room. I feel that bottled water might have been provided along with a kettle to boil it. I was particularly fond of the bedding and comfort of the bed itself. Will come again!

The room was very clean and enough towels Beds were comfortable and pillows too. Coffee maker worked great for both coffee and tea. Room could have used another chair and a bigger or folding table.

Well run and friendly management. Close to downtown and food. Right across from the lake! The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom could use more counter space and hooks to hang towels by the shower rather than across the room a lot of wasted space in a massive bathroom. The air conditioner is not at all efficient. It rarely came on the first night so we sweltered through the night. We had to have it cranked right up to get it to work properly in intervals the second night. It is also very noisy when it runs. Other than that, it was a nice stay in a great location for the long weekend!

My husband & I visited Haliburton for the first time this weekend and enjoyed our stay at Silver Maple Motel. It was clean, gorgeous lake view across the street. We loved that there was dining options walkable from our motel just up the street. We would stay here again.

The lake and walking path was across the street. Town was walkable or 2 minute drive to a parking lot. Good restaurants nearby and Sculpture Forest was great to see. Motel was quiet and clean and excellent location for us.

Very convenient location, just in front of the lake. Nice restaurants, shops in walking distance. Friendly and helpfull staff. Clean rooms, with everything you need for a short stay - coffee, fridge, microwave. Important - not noisy in-room heating/cooling unit. I have previous experience when you can hardly sleep because of the noise produced by this thing - here everything is good. I can recommend in value/location/money criteria.
