It eas in very poor condition but clean

great location near ferry terminal, needs major renovation, polite and efficient check in, good location for fishing charters, reasonable pricing.

The place seems ok but the balcony is deflected and cracked so did not feel safe

Not a lot of options in Port Hardy. Exterior was a bit run down but the interior of the rooms was quite fresh.

Clean and quiet. Floor in room has a definite slope too it. Property could use a facelift and is a bit overpriced in my opinion

Staff were very nice and helpful and allowed me to check in early. Things to work on: - no extra lock, chain, or latch on the door, only the handle locked - kept tripping on mat at entry as it was curled up - room smelled strongly of fresh paint (but looked good and freshly painted!!) so I had to keep the windows open - shower handle kept falling off Loved having a microwave and fridge in the room and they both worked great, also TV was nice and big, bed comfortable. Also lots of parking, easy to find and there is a lovely river loop walk right across the road.

Friendly staff at arrival. Definitely an older motel, that could use some repairs and maintenance!

Worn out exterior. Paint peeling, unpaved driveway, grubby stairs. Rooms clean but outdated and dismal.

The first thing that struck me was the shabbiness of the railings on the 2nd floor of the Inn. The paint was peeling off the boards and it looked as though its needed maintenance for quite a while. Didn't exactly privide a warm, welcome feeling after traveling all day. Aside from that however, the lobby was OK, the owners were cheerful, and check-in went smoothly. The room was clean with modern fixtures; no complaints there. I was able to park my vehicle right in front of the room. Painting the railings would be a definite improvement!

The drapes and furniture were dirty to the extent that you didn't want to touch them The bed on the other hand was new and clean sheets. It had and old quilted spread which I discarded. The bathroom was clean but the Reno was done by a not so handy handyman. A "C" for effort. It was very expensive for the lack of quality but they have a captive ferry trade Not recommended.

We stayed there twice--each time for one night only. The rooms were dated, but the first time, the bathroom seemed fairly new and the room was ok. It could have been cleaner. The second time we stayed, we were in a different room and it was full of cobwebs, and the air was very stale and it felt damp. It was too hot outside to turn the heat on. I probably would try someone else next time. Having said that, the TV wouldn't work and someone came immediately and dealt with it. It was also very quiet. I have many allergies and being unclean made them act up

Nice quiet motel. Clean room but nothing fancy. Loved that they have a couple bbqs for guests to use. Perfect for somewhere to relax and get some sleep on a road trip.

When we first drove up it seemed a little old looking, maybe could use a paint job but the manager was nice, check in was easy. The room was very clean, all the beds including the pullout were comfortable. I loved that there was a bedroom separate from the main area for the 3 kids. Bathroom was clean and nice. Kitchen area we didnt use except the sink to wash our hands, which was nice and large. The only thing was...you could hear the people upstairs, which sounded like a heard of elephants wearing clogs, and I was like what the heck is going on up there? We couldn't sleep from 11-12 so I finally went to look at who could be making SO MUCH NOISE, and there was maybe 8 people sitting around eating! I said, "its late and we cant sleep its too noisy up here, can you guys please be a bit quieter?" and they said "ok," then it was very quiet after that. I seriously thought it was being renovated it sounded so loud. Also the thing that bothered me and I forgot to mention to managment was there is no chain or secondary lock on the door, just the door knob. I would have felt more secure with the chain on the door, but we had a great night sleep and we were safe the people were friendly. They also provide some snacks for morning ferry people which was great at 5 am!! Crossoints (sp) cookies, fruit, coffee etc. That was so nice. All in all I thought the place was very good.

The bathroom door would not stay close, so no privacy. Bathroom mirror very poor. There was no security lock on the outside door. We expected a kitchen but only 1 hotplate & small fridge. We booked for 2 nights, left after 1 night. On the plus side the towels & sheets were all clean & new.

A clean and comfortable place to stay less than a 10 minute drive away from the BC Ferry to Prince Rupert. The only downsides we found were the very thin pillows on the bed and the noise made by travelers arriving on the ferry Prince Rupert between midnight and 1:00 am checking into their rooms.

Just a good stay in port hardy if you need a kitchen

The unit we were given was around a dark corner and felt isolated. The windows did not have locks. One was missing a screen. It did not feel safe. If i had arrived alone i would have been too scared to stay. All was fine and there were no intruders, but the room was not secure and women traveling alone should be aware that they too may be concerned.

The room was spacious and accomodating, with a large refrigerator and cook stove in the kitchenette. The living area was comfortable. The setting was great for those of us who live rural, natural beauty. The building itself badly needed exterior paint and maintenance.

We stayed in a newly renovated kitchenette and it was very clean and had a nice deep bathtub, we really enjoyed it

Room 20 has one hard as rock queen bed and one sloppy single in it. I think you get given a lousy room if you have a dog. Hardly slept and body ached from this bed. The floor was slanted in places. Otherwise, clean, people nice and close to Port Hardy.

Helpful staff

We were not able to attend due to illness. When I called the day before to advise they said they were charging me regardless. In this day and age that is unacceptable. The did not even ask me for a reason. Terrible service.

Owner was happy to stay in office to check us in after midnight because our ferry was late

We got off the ferry at midnight, lobby was still open for us. I had a problem with the heating in my room, the manager came at 1:00 a.m. and fixed it! That's a good service!

They did lose our room key, and tried to charge us $300 for a replacement. They stated that there was no way their housekeeping would have missed it and that they checked "many many times." We were hung up on twice and told "I am not dealing with you anymore." However, we decided to call the following day and insist on another room check... they found the key. The whole situation left a really bad taste in my mouth and the stress of the situation put a damper on the rest of our trip. Roomwise it wasn't bad. Kind of what we expected. Beds were hard but the room was clean and the rate wasn't bad. After this experience though I would tell everybody to take pictures of the room when you leave, and return the key to the front because this whole ordeal was just shady. 😬

Good for an overnight on/off the ferry. Nice ppl. Clean. A little dated, but still good. Area around property absolutely gorgeous

This place is not walking distance to anything. The hotel is a relic out of the 70’s and needs a major overhaul. Clean, but basic.

This was a convenient stopover after the long ferry ride. A bed and shower. Not much else to add besides that it would have been nice to have a breakfast as well.
