The Salmon River Country Inn is located on the water, just off the road (road noise was not an issue at all), and has its own restaurant on site where you have breakfast and can get dinner. Indeed, we had dinner overlooking the bay at sunset, watching a sea otter hunt: very picturesque. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is typical continental with a German leaning (the dinner menu is seafood and German). The only real downside is the rooms are on the small side, but you can sit downstairs to work and such. Overall it was a nice place to stay a couple nights exploring the coast.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff is super friendly and they open the restaurant for the guest on the days it is closed to the public. The menu is delicious with Canadian and German cuisine. Lovely spot with beautiful sunsets over the river. This is a great family business.

Everything about this place was perfect. The onsite restaurant is second-to-none and the number of places throughout the property (inside and out) to curl up with a good book are plentiful. The traffic sounds can be a bit much, so would recomend a room facing away from the highway, but that was hardly a deal breaker for us.

The room was clean and very homey. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food and service of the onsite restaurant was amazing. I chose the Jagerschnitzel with spaetzle and was not disappointed. The breakfast was great and the ambience was peaceful.
