Luling, Texas is very small, but a very cute city. It’s right off the highway and across the street from Buc-ee’s and Luling Lavender Fields. Our room was clean, the staff was helpful when we asked for things (twice), and my son had fun in the pool. We’d stay again if ever in Luling!!!

For this being a Best Western PLUS i was disappointed. Although the hotel is very clean and neat, the pool needs cleaning and has a terrible smell. I would also suggest the staff do some customer obsession training as the lack of urgency to aasist is lacking. I waited over 5 minutes just for someone to come to the front desk to check in. Then when i had an issue in the room i tried to call down to front desk via room phone but no one answered after multiple tries. I then called the hotel on my mobile, was able talk to someone who said they would be up to look at the issue. They never showed up. The breakfast was also upsetting as the hot food was empty. When we askee the staff when there would be more out they said 'i dont know' I dont know if these issues are just because i was there over memorial weekend or of this is the standard, but if it the standsrd i think it should be marked down as a regular best Western, not a plus!

Parking was great, checking is was easy and the staff were very friendly. However, the room was horrible. It had a really bad smell. It smelled like a dead rat. I should have said something when I arrived but I’m not usually the person to complain. I told myself it’s just to sleep and head out the next morning. But the smell didn’t let me sleep and the AC wasn’t cooling our room. I wouldn’t be staying there again. We stayed for a family reunion.

Great staff. Great location for visiting Buc-ee’s. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is terrible. Leaky toilet flapper so the toilet fill valve kept coming on. Shower head had weak pressure. Rusty soap holder in the shower. I would stay here again if they improved the bathroom.

Very clean hotel, appears to be quite new. The hotel is very easily accessible from I-10. The hotel is in a quiet area and even though it's right off the interstate, you're unable to hear any traffic noises. They have nice size rooms with comfortable beds. Our dog was allowed to stay in our room for a small surcharge. Woke up relaxed and rested, ready to continue our road trip.

This was an impromptu stay during a long roadtrip. We had stayed here before some years ago. The check in process was easy and the staff was extremely hospitable. The room was clean and cold, considering how hot it was outside. Luling and Lockhart are just a quick drive up the road. Definitely becoming a go-to spot to stay when we’re in the area.

I am extremely disappointed with this hotel and will never stay there again due to their hidden fees and lack of communication explaining what the $95 was for. My stay was booked through hotels.com where the room was paid for. Then when I got to the hotel they charge you another $95. I've tried to call twice to get an explanation from the manager and the first time they said he wasn't in. The next time I called no one answered. The girl that answered the first time was sweet, but was not much help in explaining what the $95 was for. I was told by hotels.com that is was a "room tax". What a joke

I would have given my stay an excellent score if we didn’t havr a person randomly knocking on our room door at 8:30am supposedly thinking we have already checked out! To make matters worse, stepping out to grab coffee and coming back to the room to not being able to open our room door cause now our room key doesnt work!! Isn’t checkout at 11am and not earlier??????????
