We have stayed at this property a few times over the years. It’s pet friendly which is a big draw. We enjoyed the hot tub. We were in chalet 10. Couple problems were addressed immediately and we were well supplied with clean towels. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The location is great close to a small town Pictou! Pool is amazing and lots of outdoor activities of you come with a group or family. Staff extremely friendly. Pets welcomed and inside the rooms lots of space.

I'm only disappointed that it took me so long to realize these chalets were so close to me! They're perfect for a weekend getaway, quiet, and secluded and have beautiful views from the mountain. Staff are super friendly and check-in was very easy. The cabins have a wood stove with ample free firewood provided. It comes with a stove, fridge and microwave. The drawers and cupboards are stocked with all the utencils you need for cooking and entertaining. We brought our two dogs (only $10 per pet, per night) and they loved it. There's several walking and hiking trails marked with signs along the driveway up to the cabins. We didn't pack accordingly for the hot tub, but it's open very late! There's a sweet outdoor pool as well. Great place to bring the family in the summertime; pre-book for sure! Johns Country Canteen is only a 15-minute drive from the cabins where we picked up snacks and drinks. There's an NSLC attached to the store which is very convenient. I love the atmosphere. It was definitely difficult to stay only one night. I highly suggest staying two nights minimum! Highly suggest checking these chalets out if you live in or near Nova Scotia, you won't be disappointed.

This was the most beautiful place I've stayed in Nova Scotia. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Everything was clean. We stayed in the lodge/room. The pool and hot tub are very clean and great size! We went on an hr long hike around the property and could have walked much longer. The views are breathtaking! I cannot wait to book our next stay! Thank you so much for this experience!

I stayed here for a weekend in February. We had a room in the main lodge which was very clean and cozy. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster, and all the dishes and cutlery you need. We used the fitness centre, which was quite, but fine for our purposes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and has several lovely look-off points. We were delighted to make the acquaintance of a barn cat named Stormy.

Absolutely gorgeous area with multiple views. The grounds are pristine and impeccably maintained. The only downside was the extremely uncomfortable hide a bed. It made for a difficult night’s sleep. Yet even with that, I will definitely return.

First time staying there and it was very relaxing and quiet ( we stayed in a room) all though the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable to sleep on. They had one BBQ to share for all rooms which wasn’t ideal, wish they had at least 2-3.

I love this place, although the lodge is starting to look run down. The decks don't feel stable and coffee machines probably need to be replaced. No coffees filters and it tool close to an hour for a full pot to stop brewing.

What a lovely find! The lady at the office was quite pleasant and very helpful! The rates are fair and the chalet was equipped with everything we needed. The pool was a great way to cool down as there is no a/c on the property. Great place for families! Safe and clean!

This was a last minute booking as we were on our way back from Cape Breton/Cabot Trail to Yarmouth CAT. Didn’t want to do the whole drive, but couldn’t find vacancy. The chalets were a very welcome surprise! Although off the beaten path, the view the next morning was spectacular!

This is a lovely place well off the beaten path. It's a bit of a drive to the nearest food or amenities. Our room was decent. The pool and play area were modest but clean and well maintained. The jets in our bathtub didn't work, which was disappointing. We were just staying for one night and didn't bring a ton of food with us so didn't use our little kitchen. We were exhausted after a day of driving and just wanted to get a pizza delivered and no one will deliver to this place. This place would be a nice for a group outing or event like a reunion or wedding. If you plan ahead and bring food and come in a large group it is likely really great. For a family seeking a quiet evening of rest it wasn't as convenient. A big group arrived around 9 pm and they were so loud it was hard to sleep. That's not really the fault of management but just know its definitely a feature of this place. It's for big groups to hang out and have a good time.

A little gem hidden in Pictou Country with something for everyone. Far enough from local towns located on the highest point around the area, but only a 15 min drive to Pictou or New Glasgow.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Vistas were amazing. Rooms were very well appointed with plates and cutlery, coffee pots and kettles. Great place to stay. I will be back

I'm only disappointed that it took me so long to realize these chalets were so close to me! They're perfect for a weekend getaway, quiet, and secluded and have beautiful views from the mountain. Staff are super friendly and check-in was very easy. The cabins have a wood stove with ample free firewood provided. It comes with a stove, fridge and microwave. The drawers and cupboards are stocked with all the utencils you need for cooking and entertaining. We brought our two dogs (only $10 per pet, per night) and they loved it. There's several walking and hiking trails marked with signs along the driveway up to the cabins. We didn't pack accordingly for the hot tub, but it's open very late! There's a sweet outdoor pool as well. Great place to bring the family in the summertime; pre-book for sure! Johns Country Canteen is only a 15-minute drive from the cabins where we picked up snacks and drinks. There's an NSLC attached to the store which is very convenient. I love the atmosphere. It was definitely difficult to stay only one night. I highly suggest staying two nights minimum! Highly suggest checking these chalets out if you live in or near Nova Scotia, you won't be disappointed.

This is a lovely place well off the beaten path. It's a bit of a drive to the nearest food or amenities. Our room was decent. The pool and play area were modest but clean and well maintained. The jets in our bathtub didn't work, which was disappointing. We were just staying for one night and didn't bring a ton of food with us so didn't use our little kitchen. We were exhausted after a day of driving and just wanted to get a pizza delivered and no one will deliver to this place. This place would be a nice for a group outing or event like a reunion or wedding. If you plan ahead and bring food and come in a large group it is likely really great. For a family seeking a quiet evening of rest it wasn't as convenient. A big group arrived around 9 pm and they were so loud it was hard to sleep. That's not really the fault of management but just know its definitely a feature of this place. It's for big groups to hang out and have a good time.
