Staff in reception whilst nice didn’t really know how to go about a complaint in the pool area when my wife stood on a piece of glass in the pool then we found more around the pool on complaint she took the details then offered a band aid No one came to see if she was ok or ring on leaving the lady at reception apologised and said I quote because no complaint was made they could of offered a meal voucher HELLO if you go to reception and explain what happened isn’t that a complaint if your not offered to fill out a form that’s not the guests fault On Monday someone rang to ask what exactly happened and if my foot was ok too little to late

Parking was a plus as i had a large transit van. For work, I usually stay at budget accommodation as I have night work and stay 1 -2 nights. I was suprised at this place as they have upgraded the rooms from when I stayed over 7 years ago. Reasonably quiet for motel on main road. Receptionist was helpful regarding places to eat and also prepared to extend checkout to 11am as i got back at 5am. On the whole, I would recommend as a place to stay for working tradies like me.

We needed somewhere to stay that was convienient and not far from Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures as we’d opted not to camp but stay somewhere with a pool for a cool down after the days activities. The Ashwood Motel is within a 25min drive which was great. We took advantage of the free RSL membership and ate there on our first night. Easy walking distance to shops, supermarkets and restaurants gave us everything we needed for convenience. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Free pool table…Big plus😁. Rooms were simple and in some cases dated, but they were comfortable and clean with some much needed aircon on the hot days we had. I would definitely recommend to others based on customer service, cost, convenience and facilities. Thanks for the stay 😁

The motel was clean & comfortable & affordable. It was also central to the places we wanted to visit. One of the reasons we chose this Motel was the pool, but unfortunately apart from the Friday afternoon when we arrived it was closed for the rest of our stay.

Perfectly located, this older style property, is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff went out of their way to be kind and helpful and were very professional in a difficult personal situation with guests. It is rare that I feel actually cared for, rather than just provided for, in a motel.

Lady working there asked My brother was he even staying at the hotel when in the pool and the reception staff forgot to write down our late check out. All was good in the end and other staff were amazing. Would stay here again! Plus money raised is for the RSL winning

Fantastic staff...Rooms are more than sufficient, clean and tidy...My only negatives are , No power points beside the bed , to plug laptops etc into and being a tall gent , I find the shower heads are mounted too low...Both are only minor issues tho...I have stayed here numerous times before and will continue to do so in future...I rate the Ashwood Motel a very solid 9 / 10...Thank you for another fantastic stay...Cheers...Bruce.

It was close to the waterways for a nice walk, also within walking distance from many places to eat, including a recently new amazing RSL, places to shop and supermarket. Reception staff were nice, place outside and inside was clean. Only negative was the bed was a bit firm, but other than that it was all good.

The Ashwood is my go to place to stay when travelling between Brisbane and Canberra. The rooms are clean and the grounds are spacious. The staff are always attentive and welcoming and it’s located conveniently to all amenities

The room was impeccably clean and tidy. Love the 60’, 70’s vibe, takes me back to my childhood. The motel is in an excellent location. Good sized bar fridge. The shower was strong and easy to maintain the temp I wanted. Even thought it is on a main road, I didn’t hear the traffic noise. All the necessities were available. - toaster, jug, microwave and iron. Plates, glasses and cutlery as well. No coat hangers, I suppose people keep nicking them, so bring some if here for more than a couple of days. Luxurious white fluffy towels and face cloths. The bed was firm but comfy. Great air conditioner. There is a little table with 2 chairs outside where we sat for drinks. Only one negative was power points. They are flush with the bench top so unusable with many plugs like my CPAP machine. Also, there was not power points on the wall where the bed is. Thankfully I have a travel CPAPA machine so was able to use the battery. Thankfully the power points in the bathroom is usable. So, if you are staying here and need a CPAP machine, you either create a trip hazard using an extension cord or bring a travel one with a battery. We did see a power points this morning on the bathroom wall.

Thankfully I have a travel CPAPA machine so was able to use the battery. Thankfully the power points in the bathroom is usable. So, if you are staying here and need a CPAP machine, you either create a trip hazard using an extension cord or bring a travel one with a battery. We did see a power points this morning on the bathroom wall.

It was a quick trip for us, late check-in which the staff accommodated by having the room ready for our after hours arrival. Room was easy to find and parking right in front of the room.

Have stayed at the Ashwood many times. Rooms always clean and tidy. Easy parking. Staff always helpful. Will definitely be back.
