Kangaroo Island Cabins

Stayed 3 nights, in a two bed room cottage , for touring the Island. It had a kitchen which was the main reason to stay there. The cottage was very quiet in a pleasant environment, and it did all what I just needed, good sleep, warm shower and cooking the meal, however it is fair, I think, to say that the place could be better maintained! As an example, the toilet was dirty and smelly as much as I ended up cleaning it with liquid soap, by myself, and the floor as well. Some windows did not lock well, though no one would come to the cottage. Some kitchen items could be replaced with new…. One would stay there, not for the comfort and the quality of the cottage, but convenience of it, for seeing the Island, so despite of the aged old cottage and not fabulous maintenance, if you need a kitchen, quiet and reasonably convenient place, one might well choose this place, I think. We were there in March, so no need of heating and cooling, so I am not sure how it would have been if it was very cold or hot…

An older style cabin, comfortable, quiet and convenient. Perfect for out stay on Kangaroo Island as were able to cook at the cabins.

Just outside of Kingscote (probably 1 km), very peaceful location with visiting kangaroos. Comfortable rooms and one of the few we've stayed at that have microwave but importantly they provided some microwave dishes (the latter missing in many other facilities). Have recycling bin/facilities which is great to see. Good contact from manager who promptly addressed any queries. Some issue with WIFI which only seemed to work in lounge room and was a rather weak signal and kept dropping out (but perhaps that's a bonus if your trying to relax).

Die Küche war voll ausgestattet zum kochen, viel Platz für alle zum schlafen, essen und spielen.

Place was perfect for a quiet stay. Clean and so convenient for a weekend.

Cabin is tired and the lounge appeared to be dirty. Check in was not done personally but via phone text….. “cabin is unlocked and key is on the table”. From our cabin we had a great view of the rubbish bins, highlight was when a group of kangaroos visited the bins. Without a car I would have considered it to be too far from the township to shop or dine out. No outside facilities like a BBQ or even a laundry. Not a place I would return to.

Quiet and clean

Cabin 1 datata ma molto pulita. Ci è piaciuta tantissimo la posozione nel silenzio assoluto. Avevamo 2 canguri che zompettavano lì davanti mattina e sera. Comunicazione con la proprietaria eccellente e check in molto facile. È in linea con il tipo di sistemazioni ripico dell'isola. Adatto a chi cerca contatto con la natura e non il lusso, noi abbiamo adorato soggiornare qui. Fantastico anche essere a 3 minuti di auto dal paese per poter prendere la cena

We never saw a single person while there for 3 nights. We wouldn’t stay again.

Clean, had heating, and Georgia was able to communicate quickly with any queries I had.

It was quiet and comfortable but the shower is way too small and the TV was very difficult to use and control. Extremely frustrating to operate.

Great setup and well spaced from other units. Could use a bigger TV .Helpful staff.

Regular visitors to KI (5 times per year) but first stay at this location. Perfectly positioned for access to any part of the island. Quiet, beautiful and peaceful setting. We will definitely stay here again. The only negative thing is the size of the shower!!!! I have been in a telephone box larger than cabin 5 shower. Overall- FANTASTIC

Served the purpose for us. It is quite old but functional. We found it a bit congested despite 2 bedrooms for 3 adults. Hosts are very helpful and communication was excellent. Overall we'd a pleasant stay. We're amazed to see Roos grazing

Check in was disappointing. Dave was meant to text details to me but apparently sent them to a wrong number. When I arrived I called the required number and it went to voicemail. I got a call back some hours later.

Stuff are very helpful. Location is good. Privacy. Wildlife. Price is great. Cabins a little tired.

The ferry was cancelled 2 days in a row due to bad weather. We had paid for a 3-day stay. Management took all 3 days deposit as we had to cancel less than 24 hours before our due date. To forfeit 1 night is understandable but to take 3 days for no service is very unfair. These were circumstances beyond our control Advise others to book 1 night and then make a separate booking for subsequent nights

Quiet location, short drive to kingscote.

Peace and quiet. Looking out on the gum trees in the early morning just out the window.

Very quiet, loved the kangaroos that greet you and come to your door. Very happy with our cabin. Would stay there again if we went to Kangaroo Island again.
