The hotel itself was excellent and the rooms were quiet. There was construction outside the hotel which blocked driving in and out of the area, and unfortunately guests were not notified ahead of time. The taxis could not drive up to the front entrance and instead guests had to transport luggage through the park and with heavy or multiple luggage it was very difficult. I would have offered guests better service to manage the luggage and placed signs outside to notify guests where to ask taxis to park. This is not handled well and several guests were annoyed.

The hotel is beautifully situated for walking round the park, but there isn't much else within easy walking that I could find if you want to shop/go to a bar. Maybe I looked in the wrong places. My first room had a broken mirror, but reception switched, so that wasn't an issue- reception staff were very helpful all round. Parking seemed expensive, breakfast was good and plentiful, but strangely arranged so one has to go searching up and down- I never did find the mustard. I did go down for dinner, but it all seemed pretty deserted, and the staff who were around seemed to have very little interest in my custom, so I didn't eat in the hotel. The sauna doesn't open until 17.30, which was annoying. Would I stay again? Probably- the good outweighed the bad, certainly.
