Excellent but expensive restaurant attached. Nice grocery across the street. Rental car and airport shuttles were fabulous! Pool was green and not open. Room was musty with old carpet. Beds not comfortable.

I stay here on every trip to SJ for business and international flights. The shuttle is excellent, the restaurant is better than you can imagine. Variety, excellent cuisine. It's not a "hotel" restaurant. It's full service with large local following. The staff will bend over backwards to help. There is also a nice pool with view of mountains. You really can't go wrong. Support small local biz. This is a good one

This was the perfect place to stay the night before leaving Costa Rica. They took us to the airport at 3am . The restaurant onsite was delicious! The hotel is very charming and welcoming. We loved it!

The property is very dated and the photos don't represent the property as we experienced. We did not end up staying the night and found a different place to stay as it was very dark, a bit depressing in the room didn't feel clean. On the flip side, the staff were very nice and welcoming.

The property was close to airport and did not have to wait long for free shuttle. Room was adequate but the bathroom sink did not drain and there were ants around the sink. No grab bars on the shower area. Great restaurant and staff was very friendly.

The staff was in general quite helpful. The worst part was a strong chemical perfume smell in my room that was unbearable and that lasted through the night and the morning. It was most unpleasant. The reception let me cancel the second night at this hotel so I could find another place to sleep that night, which I appreciated. They said the strong cleaning products responsible for the smell were important to keep the place sanitary. I could not bear it, but it seems others were less bothered by it. The trees and plants seemed less well cared for, and the hotel was on a busy street that caused noise at times.

My bed had bedbugs. I had to find another place to stay in the middle of the night. The hotel can’t refund because I booked through Expedia so I expect Expedia to do something. The staff at the hotel were kind about it but didn’t seem to understand how bad the issue was.

There were loud repairs going on and walls are paper thin. I had loud neighbors. Service was great. Room was clean. Restaurant offered lots of options. Great location. Shuttle available. Grocery across the street.

The room was fine, but a bit dated. There was no coffee provided in the room. However, the front desk staff were very friendly and there was someone handy to take our bags to our room. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked very nice. We had to leave before breakfast for an early morning flight but they provided us with a bag lunch to take with us. That was most appreciated.

The hotel is nice but dated. It is located right across the street from a supermarket which was convenient. They offered an airport shuttle from and to the airport. The service was excellent. The people were friendly and helpful. The food was good. The breakfast was free and was excellent. We were just disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel room.

Great place! Nice room with lots of seating options around the hotel. Check in was fast and friendly with great accommodation for our early flight. Only downside was the shower wasn’t great but it got the job done!

Stayed here one night befire our departure. This was close to the airport. Property was beautiful. The room was a bit small and no mini fridge (suited our needs for one night but would not have stayed for longer). No extra charge shuttle service running all day and night. They were able to bring is to the airport at 4am which was great.

My wife and I stayed here between travel days into and out of San Jose. There are restaurants in walking distance (we LOVED Lita) as well as the attached restaurant, both of which are very good. There is also a grocery store across the street. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the city and enjoy the food and pool here. The room we had was very nice, but not very soundproof, which was the only small negative in our stay. Finally, the staff was very friendly and helpful; they all spoke English and were patient with our weak Spanish. We would love to come back!

The property in general was fine. But our room was very noisy. Right next to the busy roadway and several barking dogs in the surrounding properties. I'm usually pretty easy going, but this was not a good stay.

Someone was suppose to pick me up at the airport (free shuttle), but nobody came. They had given me a phone number to reach the driver, but nobody answered. I had to pay for a taxi, which cost me 25$us. It was 1:30 in the morning. I’ve waited one hour and a half. I was very tired. At least, later that morning, when I went for my breakfast, I saw that the employees were very kind.

Second stay at this hotel. It was clean and relatively quiet, though I heard much more street noise this time from my room on the ground floor. (I had been on the second floor last time I stayed here). I would have loved to request help with my heavy luggage, but I wasn't able to contact the front desk. it wasn't clear to me whether my room phone was out of order or there was simply no one around to answer the front desk phone. Same issue at checkout the next morning-- there was no one around to speak to, just a sign instructing guests to check out by leaving hotel keys on the counter.

They greeted me soo warmly and made me feel so welcome:-) That said, that was the highlight of my 1 night stay. I asked for a shuttle in th morning to airport, but learned during the night that I needed to be thee an hour earlier, at 6 AM. However, nobody was in the office from12-6 AM (they never told me that) and I could not contact anyone to arrange that. I walked outside at 6:00 to ask for a ride, nobody was working yet except the guard. Ultimately someone came to work reception, berated me for catching th e6 AM shuttle ( no one told me!!!) and that I did not arrange my ride better ( how could I during the night?) Again, ultimately they did get me three on a 6:30 ride. But I was made to feel like an inconvenience. The facilities look lovely and quite safe, the restaurant was lively and delicious (though understaffed and inefficient) But the worst, and the reason I will NOT stay there again, is the lack of safe quality purified water to drink! There was a lovely glass carafe, topped and labeled "agua purificado" ..until I opened it for a drink- it was an unsealed twist-off, and rusty cap! No way did that feel safe. Sorry/not sorry, but that is a very basic guideline for me

The restaurant is open until midnight, which is great for late arrivals. There’s also a large supermarket right across the street for easy access to food and some souvenirs. The small pool is good for kids, and the location is convenient, just a 30-minute Uber ride to downtown and near the airport. Overall, excellent value for the price!

Beautiful property and hidden oasis in San Jose! Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. The restaurant/bar on site is fabulous and they offer a shuttle to the airport. Highly recommend if you are staying in this part of San Jose or need to be close to the airport but want something other than the “big box” hotels. Will absolutely stay again.

Cute hotel in a great neighborhood. The room was clean and spacious. The internet was fast and the A/C worked well. Its a great location with a very nice grocery store across the street. There is plenty of food places around, including a small outdoor mall area only an easy 10 min walk away. There is also a restaurant and bar onsite.The staff were all extremely kind. The free airport shuttle can be set up the day before and was about an 18 min drive.

This place is close to the airport. The ride in the morning was longer that we figured due to traffic, but we were fine. This is in a nice part of Alajuela and we felt safe walking about. A bit of a longer walk would have gotten us closer to more dining options if we wanted. We never used the pool but did sit about outside in the morning before our flight. Very nice. Comfortable. The room was big enough for all our luggage and the packing we needed to do. Everything worked just fine. Breakfast was included and was very nice, though the options were limited. We had dinner there in the evening and it was quite good.

A rather simple hotel, but it was spotless. The bed was reasonably comfortable, hotel staff were INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful, and the shuttle to the airport was free and easy. Hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and drinking water were provided, but no conditioner or coffee/tea. I tried the restaurant for dinner one night and honestly hated it (expensive, unseasoned, and was served partially cold), but the breakfast was pretty solid. I would likely stay here again, especially if I needed to be close to the airport.

The onsite restaurant was incredibly good. Their foccacia is *chef's kiss* Lovely rooms with comfortable beds, AC and great water pressure in the showers. The location is really great with a grocery right across the street.
